yesssssss lets do it

quick question tho @Kautalya will you be playing NPC characters?? Or are we able to control one to an extent when describing specific scenes? Like "Val gave guard stank eye, he totes didn't appreciate it so he placed her in solitary confinement"
I would also volunteer myself but I haven't been on this site for like 2 years so I have no one either lmao
She did!!!! but you know how it is, gotta manipulate them variables to solidify her guesses even if she's only interested in the dying part lolol
@Kautalya

@Oliver
hopefully Val doesn't find out about Ivan's fear of heights bc if not he might become her next guinea pig lmao
ty ty I'll be moving my CS over in a bit
Eli was still a safe distance away from the ever-growing mob trying to decide on her next course of action. She looked down the road to her side to see some figures in the distance--about three--but wrote it off as stray zombs. She tightened her grip once more, and looked towards the shop and that's when she saw it. It was vague. It mightve been her mind playing tricks, but she was convinced she saw it. And once she did, all doubts completely disappeared.

"....Someone's in danger...!!" Eli harshly whispered to herself. She started making her way towards the front of the store, wondering how she'd be able to help. However, instead of barging in and smashing heads dangerously, Eli tightened the grip on her sledgehammer. She raised it up only to smash it back down repeatedly onto a nearby broken down car, a loud shattering thunk resonating throughout the otherwise quiet road.

"Come on!!! Look over here!!" Eli's voice boomed, immediately following the loud clattering of broken glass. The combination of both her voice and the smashed car seemed to have caught the attention of enough of the infected. The mob broke up having found a new target. Eli stood on the balls of her feet, readying herself for the incoming zombs, sweaty hands gripping the handle of her sledgehammer. She quickly glanced to her she's ides, still noticing the three figures off in the distance. But when she looked opposite of that, to her right, Eli noticed someone coming over. By the stride and the apparent weapon they seemed to be armed--A club..? Baseball bat, maybe?--Eli deduced it was not one of the crazy dead. She turned her attention back to the incoming zombs, having little to no time to spare and began to work her way through.

They were slow; she tripped the one closest to reaching her, swinging immediately after to smash the other right behind it and swiftly brought her hammer down onto the tripped zomb, making goo out of its brain. "That's 2 out of..." She caught her breath, stopping mid sentence."Too many."

Eli was in the process of changing into a loose black tee; a small alien logo on right upper right side of the shirt in white. Since it was a simple run down tshirt shop the only things Eli managed to score were barely put together tshirts. She stuffed two raggy grey ones in her backpack as well as some torn up ones she could use as makeshift bandages. Everything else was either caked in blood or completely unrecognizable.

It was comfortably empty in the shop; so cozy, in fact, that Eli kept mentally debating whether she should make it into her temporary base. It wouldn't do her any good to be cooped up in a shop in the middle of a zombie infected area. She sighed and decided to enjoy the calm before heading back out. But instead of being engulfed by the precious quietness, Eli started hearing some shuffling. But it was muffled enough she decided it wasn't anywhere--

KA-CHK

Eli dropped a metal rack as she was walking around searching for the origin of the shuffling.

"Shit..." she cursed under her breath. She hadn't meant to make so much noise. She stood still, ears peeled for anything. After some excruciating seconds, the only sound she kept hearing were the muffled shuffling of feet. Way too many. She walked around to the wall and placed her ear towards it, "maybe it's coming from the shop next door?"

Eli decided it was worth to check out so she carefully headed out the door and immediately saw the origin of the sound. The shop next door--it appeared to be a grocery shop--was swarming with a few zombs. She couldn't get a good visual inside so she wasn't too sure if there was a specific cause to this. She tightened the grip on her sledgehammer, mind racing with bundled thoughts. Should I investigate further?

Eli finally found a slightly deserted road; an area she hadn't explored through yet. It had been a long while since her last hideout, the person she had camped out with ended up running away with all her belongings. Not to mention dude also took the only spare clothing she had. It took her a lot of scavenging to get what she had now.

With her sledgehammer rested across her shoulders, Eli strutted along the edge of the road. To her luck there weren't that many zombs, but that unnerved her all the more. That's when she saw a small run down shop from the corner of her eyes. She lit up, her body language shifting from her default defense mode.

Eli made her way across the road, maneuvering through the debris and mess; she peered in from the broken window and deemed it safe enough to walk in. From the looks of it, the shop seemed to have been a small tshirt retailer; just what she needed. That's when she heard some voices, far enough she didn't know where they come from but close enough that they seemed to be in walking distance. However, instead of searching for the owners of those voices, Eli decided on looting the rundown shop for a much needed outfit.
