14. Accidental Family

Griffin woke with on though in his head. He hated Los Vegas. He hated everything about it. He had only come to this cursed town for one reason. His best friend had called him asked him to come. Zack rarely asked him for anything so he had come. He had stood by his best friend's side as he got married. The red head had done the same for him five years go so he was glad to return the favor even if it meant going to Los Vegas to do it. He groaned as he rolled over. His eyes jerked open when his hand came in contact with someone else. "What the..?"

Roxy had chosen nothing. Mostly because the scientist beside he hadn't let go of her after dragging her from the knifes. His fingers dug into her thin arm. She ignored the pain. It was minor. She glanced at Isa stopped beside her. She wondered what the man thought of the scientist's possessiveness of her. Few of the others had noticed. But she doubted much got past this man. He was the kind that saw everything. He would make a good soldier.

Roxy headed for the knives. Tall the weapons were training weapons and designed to do no real damage. She longed for her real knives. She reached out to take one when Vlad grabbed her hand. "Not you." she sighed as the scirntist pulled her away from the knifes. They might not but as good as hers but she had proven that didn't matter. She had no one to blame for not being allowed to touch the knives. She looked around to see what else she could use with confidence.

Roxy looked around. She had decided to stay in the dorms. She needed a break from her parents. They would only fight if she went home. She had enough fighting. She wanted something more then shadows and shouting. She hoped to make allies if not friends and that meant being here. She needed as many chances to met and be with the other as possible.

Vlad snapped his fingers and one of the guards near the doors headed out of the gym. "Now you will get to show off alittle. Next we will do weapons training. You may start with the weapons that you are already familiar with. But eventually you will learn how to use all the weapons. I will not accept any accuses when it comes to your missions. You will complete them by any means necessary."

13.Beauty and the Beast- Beauty

Katherin hesitated at the edge of the woods. The woods were exactly a good place for a blind person to go but she didn't have a lot of choices. The king had sent her as a sacrifice to the beast that lived in the wood. Rumors had it that the beast had been taking girls and attacking boys that got too close to the woods. She didn't know how much of that was true. But if she could safe a few lives by giving up hers Katherin was willing to do so. As a blind orphan she didn't have much of a life anyway. With that in mind she entered the woods.
