9.Mage/Slave- Mage

Katherin carefully made her way through the market. She hated going to the market. It was very challenging for a blind person to weave between all the people. Which was one of the reasons she needed help for this quest the king was sending her one. That and she was suppose to gather several items for the ritual they needed to return the princess to good health. Unfortunately she was new to the area and didn't know anyone. The king had given her coins and told her to buy herself a slave to help her along the way. You think he could spare a knight for his daughter's health but no he wasn't willing to weaken his guard. Not that she blamed him with the threat to the kingdom but it would have been easier if she didn't have to buy a slave to complete her task.

"It will need to be tended to. I have alteast two broken bones. Why does everyone keep saying that? I didn't even land a hit?" Katherin asked. She didn't understand what she had done that had impressed the others so much. She had managed to dodge a couple of times. But that was it. "Flying isn't that amazing. Not compared to the other. Kiiros can control fire. He had wings, a sword, and armor."

"Even here I stand out." Katherin pointed out. But she took the seat he offered. She wasn't usually this depressing. She was sore and frustrated with herself. She didn't want to push the others away. They were her one chance at friendship. She had always wanted to have friends.

"I didn't say it would be easy for you to blend in Ryouko. Just that you can. You can walk outside and as long as you don't get hurt no one would think you were anything but human. I don't have that option. I can't walk don't the street. I can't get a job or go to school. I don't have a choice." Katherin explained. She hadn't meant that he would have an easy time being a part of society. Just that he could learn and participate if he wanted to.

"Atleast you can blend in. You can do whatever you want to do. I have had to hid my whole life. I have never been around this many people. I've never talked this much....ever." Katherin explained. She had had to hide. She couldn't blend in like the others. She would never be able to blend in. While Ryouko might not have spent a lot of time around people but he had the choice to do so if he wanted to.

"I'll be alright Ryouko. I have been alone all my life. You are right that I don't like it. But I am not used to be around so many people. I don't know how to deal with all this. I think it's better if I am alone for alittle while." Katherin answered. But she stayed where she was. She didn't want to be alone.

@Xiphonic oh... No I know there are a few Tate's where the legal age is different ;) some its 16. Some it's 18. I wasn't talking about anywhere specific,
