"I won't give you a reason, nor will I ever." Shina replied.

Shina has dealt with many threats, but if this one became one, it would be over for her, and knowing Scarlet, her too. She hated thinking about that, how Scarlet would willingly fight at her side, and even die if the time comes. She couldn't help but overthink it, why did they have to exist in the same place together, life would have been so much easier if they never met.

"Look, I suggest we talk more about this once we're out of here, I can't promise I'd be fully keen to answering your questions right now." Shina replied.

"Come on Scar, let's get through these two days." Shina stated, gesturing Scarlet to follow her.

"Yeah, right." Scarlet replied, her voice was low, it was kinda awkward being present at that point.

As they walked through, it got warmer; Scarlet didn't expect the city to look like this, but Shina on the other hand kept walking like it was a normal Tuesday in the middle. Scarlet hurried along, making sure to steer Shina away from anything she can't sense.

"Hey, you been here before?" Scarlet asked, kind of seriously but not really.

"No, I just don't see Hell as that much of a threat." Shina replied as she kept.

"... What?" Scarlet, baffled by this just couldn't say much.

"What? It's not like I'll allow myself to get hurt here." Shina stated.

"Yeah but-" Scarlet said.

She was cut off by a gangly demon or whatever he was, he seemed like a normal human but he had a glowing tattoo all over his body, he had a scruffy beard and fangs.

"Well, aren't you two pretty, where are you two going?" He said, his voice was scratchy.

"Where we're going does not have anything to do with you." Shina replied.

"Oh, you're gonna be like that." He said in a rather sad tone that obviously faked, "Fine then." He said with a smirk.

The man held out his finger and poked Scarlet right on the head, he then whispered. "32 hours."

"What did you do to-" But before Shina could finish, he vanished.

"You alright?" Shina asked.

"Yeah, that was just weird, his finger was sweaty and rough." Scarlet said, wiping whatever was on her head with the loose sleeve of her shirt.

"Alright, let's avoid as much things as we can." Shina offered.

"Got it." Scarlet replied.

They walked, but Scarlet wasn't at a 100% anymore, something was definitely off.

Scarlet was surprised, she placed her hand on the small foldable weapon on her belt, but Shina stepped in front of her, gesturing her to stand down. She turned to Smoke's general direction, but his anchor to the physical world was so weak that she could not see very well, she was staring at his shoulder from what it look like.

"Uncle? As far as I'm aware I was told I would have no family here. I've stayed in the Ringed city for years and never have been told that you were here nor have you ever existed." Shina stated.

She gestured for Scarlet to move as far away as she can, join the others if she can, this interaction is not for her. Scarlet had to, trusting Shina never went wrong, so why break the streak; she walked off, making sure to keep an eye on them as she made distance.

"I know what you did, for all I know you caused me to turn into..." She gestured herself, "This." Said Shina.

Was this pushing it? She glanced at Scarlet then turned head back to face the masked man.

"I've been working in the Ardnasil Company in the Skyline for 3 years, and I was never told you existed, but after Death said your name... I figured that after all those years of me not being able to sleep because of that name, it must be true you live." Shina replied, rather aggressively than before.

"So what now? Are you going to kill-..." She took another glance at Scarlet, "Nevermind, forget I even said anything." Shina continued.
Scarlet and Shina were at the counter, paying for what they bought, Scarlet had this feeling still looming around her maybe it was just from the cold touching her so suddenly. Shina couldn't help but smile, teasing the shorter girl was always something she loved doing, and since Shina is much more famous throughout the Ringed City as a weapons designer than the Scarlet who works at a workshop in the middle, it is much more easier for Shina to get around (And get free stuff).

As Scarlet extended her hand to give the money, a green outline appeared around them and they were suddenly somewhere else, a metro, yeah it looked like a metro. Shina didn't expect the sudden teleport, nor was it her who did it but they came face to face with some skeleton prick when they got off the train.

They weren't the only one there, there were others as well, a tall chick in a dress, a drow of some sort, a whole lot of different things; but, Shina was facing someone specifically the man with a smokey aura, his presence was barely there, but she knew he was there, it was like she knew him or something but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

"Shina? You alright?" Scarlet asked.

"Yeah, I just thought I know that guy." Shina replied, shaking her head, it didn't seem odd for Shina to shake her head she was quite social even for a Cirath.

Shina watched as that same guy, stepped forward to defend everyone, but that tall chick had other plans, walking up herself and yelling at the skeleton thing with her eyes glowing or something, the two didn't know what he was until that point. Shina couldn't feel his presence at all and it was annoying her, but as soon as that thing spoke and said ”What’s up, Dah’k? Finally died, have you?” Shina suddenly shifted, her stance got lower and she started to feel a bit nervous.

For Shina, that name echoed in her head for a long time now, ever since her becoming of Cirath, but she didn't know who or what it was, but now that gave her enough information for her to know that she should stay away.

"Scar... Stay by me." Shina let out, in all seriousness.

Scarlet felt her seriousness and she knew that she did need to stay by her as best as she could, though she was less capable than her, she shouldn't be counted out. Shina moved her hand and wrapped it around Scarlet's wrist softly, making sure she wasn't hurting her. Scarlet had to heat up her veins so that it wouldn't feel so cold when Shina held her wrist.

"Shina... I-" Scarlet tried to say.

"Hush! I'm having trouble right now." Shina replied, rather seriously.

"I can help you." Scarlet pleaded.

"No, you can't, not this time." Shina shook her head and turned to face her.

Scarlet then just stayed quiet, maybe she couldn't help, maybe Shina can help with this. ”Welcome to Hell!” said Death, and Shina tightened her grip on Scarlet's wrist, she began to grind her teeth like this was a situation she shouldn't be in, she almost felt like she dragged Shina down here with her, but maybe not. ”I’ve installed an app on your phones that will contact me when you open it. It's like an alert system. Only use it if you need me to come save your asses from anything or if you just wanna talk to your Uncle Death. I also gave those without phones a temporary one. Have fun and try not to get killed!” Shina then fished the temporary phone out her pocket and handed it to Scarlet.

"You know I can't use this, you hold it." Said Shina.

"No I can't take it, it's bounded to you." Scarlet replied.

"Right..." Shina muttered.

Suddenly, two people spoke after Death had left with a "So, how's it going?"

"Well, things could be-" She was cut off by Shina who just pulled on her arm.

"Why are you so hostile all of a sudden? These people could help us." Scarlet whispered.

"I've never been wrong to you right? Just trust me, you don't want to get caught along with them." Shina whispered back.

Shina was rather intelligent, she knew that trusting so many people may be a bad choice, for both their statuses. Especially since she knos who one of them is.

Shina was out in the middle, specifically in the middle shopping centre to get some groceries for food, she wasn't really keen on doing some groceries in the skyline since she didn't want anything high end, like half a pound of fish that cost like $2000. She enjoyed the middle, much more than anyone would like, she was stood there in the produce isle in the grocery of the shopping centre, she wasn't wearing her visor but instead wore a beanie and a black eye mask, this kept most her features of being a Cirath out of the way, but other than very obvious blue skin it may not be the best disguise, then again it wasn't a disguise it was more of a casual look for the Cirath Weapons designer, she wore a black hoodie, jeans, gray gloves and white high tops.

Shopping had it's problems, she could still see where everything is through her heightened senses but she can't really read or decipher anything on how it looks, but she knows the general gist of something just by the texture and how she senses it. She had an assistant with her, someone to read and say if the thing she's buying has gone bad or something, it was short girl, dressed all formal like a secretary, even though Shina herself said it was unnecessary for her to wear anything like that but the girl insisted.

"Melissa, Is this still good?" She asked, holding up fresh iceberg lettuce.

Melissa took time to examine it, then replied. "Yes ma'am it's good."

"No need to be formal here Melissa, we're friends after all, please call by my first name." Shina stated as smiled at her, being formal out of work is something she didn't see fit.

"Oh uhm... If you say so... Urr... Shina." Replied the girl.

Shina clapped her hands and nodded at the girl, she then placed the lettuce in her basket then moved on. Suddenly, after a few more isles down, Melissa suddenly pulled on Shina's shirt and said. "Ma'am- I mean, Shina, it's Ms. Emberlee, you told me to always inform you when we see her."

Shina smiled and nodded, "Thank you Melissa, you can go home now if you want, Scarlet and I are going to have quite the chat."

"Are you sure ma- ur, Shina?" Melissa asked

"I'm sure." Shina replied

"Sure, if you say so... Be careful on your way home." Melissa said.

"I will, thank you Melissa." Shina promised.

Shina then walked over to Scarlet who was looking at a carton of milk, examining it and mumbling to herself. She then held out her finger and poked her neck.

Scarlet was in the dairy section, Jacob needed milk for some reason and she didn't know why, but she was gonna get it anyway. Though all of a sudden, something cold touched her neck, she flinched then turned to see what it was. It was Shina.

"Hey, what the hell!" Scarlet exclaimed, as she rubbed her neck.

She didn't like it when she did that, but she does very often, way too often.

After quite some time of working, Scarlet finally finished the repairs and slight upgrade to the large jet engine, she was covered in oil and grease and it was just a big mess. She moved her goggles up to her forehead and wiped her sweat with her forearm, even though her powers involved flame, sweating is still a normal function for a human such as herself. She pushed back and slid her chair backwards, examining the engine from afar to see if there was anything wrong, doesn't look like it.

"Hey Scarlet!" Jacob called out.

"Yeah?" Scarlet replied.

"You done over there?" Jacob asked.

"Uhh, yeah pretty much." Scarlet stated, as she looked at the engine.

"Alright, can you go to the shopping centre and grab me these things? We're running low on those." Jacob asked, holding up a piece of paper.

"Why can't you do it?" Scarlet asked, raising her brow as she turned to him.

"Because I have my hands full, and I don't like leaving you alone here while it's working hours, remember that time with the frogs and-" Jacob said, but got cut off by Scarlet.

"Alright, that's enough, I'll do your damn errands." Scarlet replied.

"Sweet, here you go." Jacob said, holding out the piece of paper.

Scarlet looked down at the piece of paper, it seemed pretty average so it doesn't look like it would be too much of a hassle but the stuff on the lists has her practically roaming the entire shopping centre to find the perfect one, should be fine, as long as there's no drama.

Scarlet quickly changed out of her dirty workshop clothes into average casuals, black jeans, gray shirt, red and black flannel, black boots and she even kept the goggles on. After she had gotten dressed she made her way to the shopping centre to Jacob's silly errands that a 4 year old can do. (Probably not true because like, 4 year olds don't have cash.)
Scarlet Emberlee

Scarlet was doing her average work in Dashwood Workshop and Smith, creating and repairing for something to show the world. The building of the workshop was right at the middle of the middle so it had customers going in and out everyday with barely any break time. While Scarlet worked on larger projects, the owner of the workshop, Jacob Dashwood worked on much smaller things. The two would have chit chat while working and today was no different. Scarlet continued to work on the large engine she was supposed to finish today, goggles to protect her eyes, but yet she was wearing a dirty tank top with the upper half of her jumpsuit strapped to her waist to form some sort of belt, and a pair of gloves and boots really fit it all together.

"So, you moving to the Skyline at any point?" Asked Jacob

Scarlet shook her head, "No, I already told you that I'm fine here in the middle." replied Scarlet.

"Come on, we can be neighbors!" Jacob said, playfully giving Scarlet's bare shoulder a punch. "You have more than enough cash to move there." He added.

"I already told you yesterday, and the day before that, and the day before that, that I like it here. Imagine Scarlet Emberlee wearing a dress and drinking wine like a prissy little princess, no thank you." Scarlet stated making a mock high pitched voice when she talked about the princess part.

"Maybe with that attitude, I think it is best you stay here." Jacob replied.

"Exactly, now if you excuse me, I only have 46 minutes and 22 seconds to get this engine running before that pilot picks it up." Scarlet stated.

"I'll leave you alone." Jacob replied.

"Much appreciated." Scarlet thanked him.

Scarlet continued, her veins had a feint glow as her hands moved at a rapid rate, fixing the engine as fast as she could to fit the time limit she was given. Though during this time she couldn't help but think what it would be like in the Skyline, she visits every now and then whenever Jacob invites her over to play a quick game on his console in his house. Scarlet was lost in her thoughts, was Jacob right? Maybe living up there could improve her chances of meeting someone to settle down with... Scarlet then shook her head, she didn't want anything to do with that, Scarlet is fine by herself and she'll settle down once she's old or something. Her mood then shifted, she was happy again once she thought about how well this engine is going to turn out once it's done, or it could blow once it turns on, no matter what happens she'll see that pilot fellow more than once.
