Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Last night Luna spent it sleeping in the back of a car in the garage, surprisingly it was much more comfortable than the floor. She had a few sore spots from sleeping on buckles but for the most part, she was awake and rested. Thank goodness for the grace of make-up though because it kept the bags under her eyes from lack of sleep and stress hidden. The conversation she had with Xavier set her on edge as well as calmed her down. She still had things to learn and patience was one of them. Trust on her part was another but she was going to make the effort, this wasn’t going to work if she didn’t sit back on her own expectations and face the reality of here.
She walked over and stood by Max as Veil drew attention to him. She pressed an arm against him just so he knew he wasn’t alone. It was an awful situation and it did shine a light on all of the mutants. What happened last night was only going to further the Hellfire Club’s mission and that made their mission difficult. Luna remained silent though, even when Negasonic revealed her information and Veil talked about Lorna missing. She would volunteer to go where she was needed once the original family weighed in. Luna wasn’t surprised though that Shaw had his hand in a local business. He probably had a few on his payroll. She would most likely go with the team who went to this bar, that is if Veil deemed it wise for Luna to go. The minimal amount of cover she had was now blown as well.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Sleep was rough for Cayden, he had been busy making sure the kids slept well and felt safe. It was a full time job being a babysitter for a couple dozen kids who had just gone through a mini battle. In the morning he went around making sure all injuries still present were well. If he kept busy, he wouldn’t fall asleep, at least that was his theory. He munched on the apples provided and even drank the coffee, just to try and get some caffeine in him to stay awake. Cayden wasn’t sure where he would be needed today but he hoped to help get the kids to safety.
As for now, Cayden sat next to Spark Plug listening to the morning’s meeting. It was a bit of a review of the event’s from the night before, which was nice to hear and it seemed some new information had been brought to light. Cayden was a bit interested in this bar with the missing mutant but his head snapped to look at Havok when he freaked about hearing Lorna had gone missing. Well, it seemed the Mutant Underground would have their hands in a few cookie jars for the next little while.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The 19th Floor of Wizard Tower -- The Castle
Skills:

Cuyler shook his head, exasperated. ”You all but killed me outside when you saw my face in your grief for Arya and what I supposedly did but now you want me to kill her for the greater good?” Cuyler shook his head and stood up, facing away from the man. ”You make no sense Rowland.” As for the Darke properties of the room, Cuyler remained virtually unaffected by it. Cuyler looked over at the eerie skull again, frustrated and extremely unhappy with this entire situation. ”We don’t even know where she is. I felt her Magyk but she was nowhere to be seen. How do you plan on finding her?” Maybe it would take awhile, maybe it would give him time to help convince Rowland of a different way.
Cuyler leaned against the table and scrubbed his face. He tried picturing Arya, what she looked like before he turned his back on her. He couldn’t quite picture her evil, he had a hard enough time picturing her dead but it turned out she wasn’t dead. At least not yet. ”I know it may not matter to you but I did miss her. I tried not thinking about her but I thought of her everyday Rowland. Despite what I did, she was my friend and she cared about me. She never stopped trying to protect me,” he said and sighed.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Crypts ---> The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

Amarantha rolled her eyes at Apollodora’s protesting. That was not what she was intending and she certainly did not desire the royals following them to the vaults either. Yes she needed one of them but she didn’t need them all following like school children. Amarantha was growing more irritated, hangry if you will. The sound of blood was pulsating in her ears and she was about ready to snap both in emotion and physically snap something as well. ”Okay excellent, the door is open, you can leave now,” she said to the royals pointedly.
Amarantha hurried into the vault and started moving away sheets of fabric and opening up chests and other things. She successfully found a dead rat, which wasn’t even useful. Amarantha wondered if animal blood was just as sustaining as human blood for her would be. It would be a much more pleasant solution to her problem. ”They look like chains Luna, not glass baubles. Put that down,” Amarantha snapped as she passed her friend, on the hunt for those chains still.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace Crypts ---> The Palace Vault -- The Palace
Skills: Aura Sensing

Ahote sighed and they started to walk towards the vault. Maybe he would talk to Bruce about Fenrir. It wasn’t an appealing idea to Ahote but the man was of the world and it would be quicker information than looking into books about it. He watched Amarantha’s back as she walked stiffly to the vault, leading them all. She didn’t seem too pleased that they were following her. Ahote’s eyes shifted and he looked over at Apollodora. Her aura shone through at him, begging to be looked at. It was a different one, beautiful though. A bit of white light seemed to encompass her but all around was a blending of different colours, shifting and changing with every step she took. Her heart was pure but she held a tough exterior, pushing the boundaries with everything, including her own family. She was an outsider when it came to them, the black sheep but her intentions were good, even if she acted like she didn’t want to be. She was in conflict with herself.
They reached the vaults and Mryus opened them but before the door was fully opened, Amarantha was inside and already on the hunt. Ahote shook his head and walked in after Mryus. He looked around, not as vigorously as Amarantha and came up just as lucky. Although he found a dead squirrel, rather than its rat companion. Ahote sighed and looked about the place, trying to tap into his power to see if that would yield any results for him. His attention was drawn away from that task when Amarantha snapped at Luna. Ahote looked back at them, shocked and confused. What was that all about?

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Baxter Building-- New York City, New York.
Skills:

Antoinette fiddled with the sleeves of her shirt, thinking about Lance and all of the others from school. They weren’t all here, with the palace group but they had all been split up it seemed. Lance was with the resistance and she vaguely remembered seeing others that she recognized as well. It would be nice to be able to get in touch with them. After all, they were all on the same side again. ”Thank you Mr. Richards. Someplace neutral to rest for awhile would be nice,” Antoinette said gratefully. ”You wouldn’t happen to have a phone I could borrow do you?” She looked from him to the others that claimed this place as their home as well.
The device he would be working on wasn’t one they originally wanted but if they could get everyone they saw and knew on the same page about remembering the old reality, well then they would be halfway there. Maybe then this reality would collapse in on itself or they could create a new world with neither humans nor mutants running scared. ”Oh yes! I remember both as well, should you need more information,” Antoinette volunteered after Carolina did.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Dining Pavilion -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel’s mood soured instantly at the sound of Demetri’s voice. He rolled his eyes, watching him sit down as he made comment after comment towards Ezekiel and his father. ”Keep it up chuckles and I’ll leave you high and dry when you get some venereal disease because you got a little to friendly. Like father like son right?” Kiera finally piped in but it was with even worse advice. ”Honestly Kiera, if you want to see my muscles all you have to do is ask,” Ezekiel said and batted his eyelashes at her. Still, Ezekiel found himself sitting down and setting his tray aside and looked at Demetri expectantly. ”You have all your shots and you’ve been tested in the last forty-eight hours right?”
Ezekiel felt eyes on him, which wasn’t unusual. Most people stared at Ezekiel. He chose to look at it as a compliment but he knew it was because they were either trying to bore holes into him until he keeled over, or they were waiting for him to do something stupid so they could talk about it for the next four days. Well here was their lucky day. Still, it seemed different. He turned around, scanning the tables until he found his target. He cocked his head and nodded in Jade's direction. ”Kiera, is it just me or do the blind suddenly see?”

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Outside ---> The Garage -- The Mutant Underground, Washington D.C.
Skills:

As Luna hunted for her phone on her person, the sky seemed to open up and finalize the day. She looked up at the sky and allowed the rain to pelt her face. She was soaked in seconds and Luna was glad she at least wasn’t wearing her leathers. That would be difficult to try and pry off alone. She stood there a moment, listening to the roar of the rain drain the roaring in her head. The isolation was soothing for a time but unproductive. She shifted her weight and made her way to the compound but went around the building to the garage she had put her bike in the day before.
Once in a dry area, Luna sighed at the sudden silence. It wasn’t deafening at least, what with the pouring rain outside. Luna walked over to her bike, pulling off her jacket and shirt as she went in order to put on something dry from her pack. She used her semi dry shirt that she had been wearing to soak up some of the water from her hair. The nice part about her cutting it short before she got here was now it would dry quicker. Once she was semi warm, Luna pulled out her phone and hit Xavier’s button. It was number three on her list of recently called numbers so that made hunting for it easier.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse & Charles Xavier

Luna supposed she could have telepathically reached out to Xavier but that wasn't always reliable and the man was the one with Cerebro. She turned and leaned against her bike, waiting for the line to pick up. "You better pick up old man, I swear..."

It took a few moments, but eventually she would hear the sound of someone answering the phone on the other end. "Hello Glimpse, I have been expecting a call from you. Things do not seem to be going too well are they?" Xavier's voice responded on the other end. From his words it seemed somewhat obvious that he already knew what was going on with things for the most part.

Luna shifted at the sound of Xavier's voice and she sighed. Of course he already knew. "Not in the ideal way, no. I'll cut to the chase Xavier, the information you gave me has holes, holes that I couldn't fill with my own research but demanded being filled by certain people here. It couldn't be achieved and now my connections have been burned. Why did you send me here? These people are nothing but children who don't want to play this particular game." There was frustration within Luna's voice but the attitude was still curbed and she spoke with as much respect as she could in this moment.

"It may seem that way, but whether you believe it or not they do have their reasons for not trusting you, you are essentially an outsider to them, and trust is not something that is easily given. Try not to let that get you down, they are good people there, and likely will help you."

"I understand that but a certain degree is needed in order to get us anywhere, is it not? If you have complete lack of trust in someone from the beginning, your guard is automatically going to be up and you're going to be looking for a problem and flaws. You know how the brain works better than anyone Xavier, how easily it can manifest hate and any other emotion. That isn't the point though, I understood fully I was walking into a family who has built a very thin veil of trust within their group and with the information I carried and unfortunate public opinion, I knew this wasn't going to be like everything else but they were utterly opposed to the whole idea of it from the beginning. They weren't in it when we went for that recon mission. So I need you to tell me why you chose these people or I'm going at it alone." Luna would figure out a way to prove herself to them, Sapphire and Havok in particular if she needed to, just so that they trusted she at the very least wasn't out to get them all killed. Yes, Luna should have done more digging, hell she should have done the recon on her own first to learn how much of a pain Shaw had become to get in touch with but she also didn't think she would have been treated this poorly. She was on her own here and after the trauma of the day she was feeling it a bit more than she would normally bring attention to.

"I understand that, but you need to understand the perspectives of those you are trying to get on your side. Sapphire and Havok have their reasons for not trusting others, as does just about everyone else," he said simply, having read her thoughts once more clearly. "It may seem out of reach to earn their trust, but it is not impossible. Understanding one another is the first step towards earning one another's trust."

Luna sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "You still haven't told me why you want me to remain working with these people or why you even wanted me to in the first place."

"The Underground is a group dedicated to helping mutants who are in need of it, and the Hellfire Club is causing much of their problems. That is why, they need the help, and they need to understand that the situation is bigger than just them. That mutants will keep being in danger and on the run if the Hellfire Club continues their activities the way they have been."

Luna relaxed a bit with Xavier's words. Some of his speech made her uncomfortable but only because there was truth in it and things she needed to work on in order to make this temporary alliance work. His words on the Mutant Underground set her at ease for the most part. It seemed he was trying to convince her she would need to be the one to do the convincing. "What of the Morlocks and their recent troubles? How will that now factor into the Hellfire Club and the Hound program?"

"Of that I am unsure... Though the fact that they had some hand in the attack on the Morlocks is a bit concerning..."

"They must have found out a location for the Morlocks by capturing one of them for the Hound Program," Luna mused. Shaw and his cronies were getting more comfortable here. This whole bloody thing is starting to go all to pot but the Morlocks may be willing to help. I am sure you will hear from me again Xavier and if you gather any more information, you know how to reach me the fastest."

"It is certainly something to think about. I will let you know if I come across anything... Just remember though Glimpse, understanding is the first step towards trusting, you need to understand the other's point of view, in order to get started on the road to gaining their trust."

”Always teaching Professor. Thanks,” she said before hanging up. ”AKA Luna, get your bloody head out of your arse,” Luna translated Xavier’s words into a more hard hitting fashion. She sighed and plugged her phone in before claiming the back seat to one of the cars that remained here. It would be best if she remained separated from the group for the night and get a fresh start in the morning.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: The First Floor, Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden stayed with the kids, ready to start them moving on getting ready for their little indoor stargazing extravaganza. He smiled softly as he watched everyone else work and remained doing so even while Veil was being examined and worked on. No need to get all anxious when it seemed to be fairly under control. That would just upset the kids. His attention drifted over to the TV as Negasonic brought everyone’s attention to it. He watched it, his eyes slowly widening as a giant nail appeared out of nowhere and slammed into one of the cop cars. That, was completely not good. There wasn’t even a remotely good thing about it. The report turned worse when a man came on, preaching about deputizing the Purifiers. Seriously not good.
”Alright, I think we should all head up stairs now, what do you think? We can claim all the good spots to watch the stars ya?” Cayden grinned at the kids and looked over to the stairs. They seemed to shine a bit and he frowned, walking over and looked up. He got hit a couple of times with rain drops. Great. He tapped his foot on the step. ”New plan. Find what you can, we’re going to make a fort in the garage.”

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The 19th Floor of Wizard Tower -- The Castle
Skills:

Rowland sighed and Cuyler shifted to look up at the man. He could tell that Rowland was trying to explain this better to him, to get Cuyler to understand. It almost made it worse that Rowland was being nice and helpful to him again. After Rowland’s initial reaction to Cuyler showing up, this tenderness was just as painful as that slap to the face. Cuyler did his best to listen and understand the new explanation. There was so much he still didn’t understand about this world of Magyk and what Rowland was asking of Cuyler seemed like some sort of punishment.

”Can’t we bring back her memories? Restore her past life with the one she has now?” He didn’t want to give up on her so readily. There had to be other avenues other than killing her and what if she didn’t come back this time? Rowland’s words of her being drawn to the Darke originally in her life and vengeance didn’t sit well with Cuyler. If there was anyone the past Arya would want vengeance on now it would be the thing that killed her and Cuyler himself. "I don't want to readily accept the path you suggest without trying a different way first," Cuyler whispered. Just because they had split up didn't mean Cuyler didn't still care for Arya, didn't still love her and was heartbroken over the idea of her being lost.

Amarantha

Location: The Crypts -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

Amarantha’s hunger was still very much present and she was eyeing up the boy who had moved behind Luna before she clued into Valda having answered her. Ignoring Luna again and Ahote’s question, she shifted her eyes from the boy to look at Valda. She felt sickened that the mere desire of feeding from a small child crossed her perverted mind. ”The Vaults? Perfect,” Amarantha said. It would require a bit more hunting around but if she could cut their losses and move on, all the better for her. She looked at Apollodora and sighed exasperated with her geeking out moment with the Prince. ”Story time can be later,” she said and grabbed onto Apollodora and started to retreat from the room.

Hopefully along the way Amarantha could get her hands on an unexpecting servant or something else to sedate her need to feed. Absentmindedly Amarantha wondered if she needed to be as savage and violent as the other Biters were when they attacked the Castle or if she could feed a little bit here and there and manage just as well but what did it matter. After the Castle was saved from Arya and the impending threat of the Eastern SnowPlains, Amarantha was leaving. There was no cure for what she was and she wasn’t going to endanger those she loved any further. She was doing that enough as it was with Luna unknowingly guarding easy prey.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace Crypts -- The Palace
Skills:

Amarantha’s aura was not as strong and solid as it once was. Something had tarnished it and blacked it in a way that seemed to ooze and drip around her. It was not a pleasant thing and Ahote had never seen such a thing before. She ignored him and his prodding question which didn’t help matters. Not to mention the animalistic look she gave the small child. Ahote shifted again, blocking Luna and the boy and Mryus from potential harm. For the time though, Amarantha seemed quite concentrated on these chains and once she knew they laid somewhere else, she was ready to move on.
The story Valda mentioned though held particular sway over the Prince. Ahote thought on this story and considered Apollodora’s insight as well. ”Prince Mryus, you don’t suppose this Fenrir could be one of the potential killers of Baldur do you?” Anything was possible and they had to start somewhere. They also had to tell the rest of the royals about the end of days. That was a difficult conversation Ahote was glad he did not have to be the forerunner for.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Baxter Building-- New York City, New York.
Skills:

Antoinette remained silent on the elevator ride up, just taking in the people who were here and thinking of where they were less than an hour ago. The elevator doors opened up and they all shuffled out. Once Antoinette stepped out she was able to see the whole lab and everything it held. It was quite impressive, much better than the one at Xavier’s school. She smiled a little, thinking about Lance and what he would think of such a place. Antoinette stopped and grabbed onto Carolina’s arm. ”Lance, the Hulk was at the palace, we need to try and get a hold of Lance.” She remembered there was a lot of bad blood between him and his father and she wondered now how he was dealing.
Guin addressed Reed Richards and Antoinette looked over at their conversation. Hearing Guin say what they wanted out loud like that was a bit far fetched. Was something like that even possible? Finding these stones seemed more plausible suddenly. Still, they had all decided to come here so Antoinette would do the best she could to help. Antoinette sat down in one of the chairs Reed Richards provided to them. She curled her feet up under her so that she was sitting crossed legged on the chair and settled in.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Dining Pavilion -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel walked into the dining pavilion and made a beeline for the food table. He was starved from all the training this morning. There was the wall and then running drills, not to mention all the moving targets he had to shoot at and avoid being shot at. He was feeling rather drained and faint from the lack of food. Once his plate was piled high, he turned and went to go sit with siblings. As he made his way over though, he paused, seeing Kiera sitting alone. He rocked back and forth a moment, debating his next move before he just did it.
Ezekiel walked over to Kiera and nudged her. ”Wanna come sit with us, water girl?” Yes, he knew fully well who her father was but sitting alone was never fun and they had quite a few things in common. Oddly enough, Ezekiel had grown fond of the daughter of Poseidon. It was rather unfortunate really since Ezekiel had a thing against all the children of the big three, including the newest child of Zeus. Still, the bond of music went further than titles and positions and they had spent many afternoons sharing the love of music together.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

At the mention of Luna’s father, she snapped. ”Don’t you dare say anything about him. You know nothing, nothing of my life except what you choose to understand from the papers you selfish prat. Just because you chose to use my upbringing as a mark against me, just shows how little you care about yourself. I was sent here by someone who thought you were all competent enough to help. I wish you could see far enough past your own oversized ego that I was simply trying to help. And congratulations because I already took the blame for Veil getting shot but thank you for making that blatantly obvious for everyone else.” Luna knew a lot of the blame had been placed on her, hell she placed most of it on herself as well but the fact still remained that Sapphire attacked first. She didn’t trust and she reacted but if she didn’t want to admit to that yet, than fine, let her sit on her own high horse and claim superiority over Luna.
Luna flinched at Max’s flare of power and sudden yelling. Luna had to admit it did feel nice to have at least one person on her side even if it was unnecessary but it was true. If it wasn’t for Max, the whole mission would have been an even bigger bust. Luna was also bombarded by other information of what had happened. It seemed they had been rather busy with randoms breaking in and the Morlocks, whoever those were, showing up with their own problems. It was going to be a rather full house inside. Luna hung back though while everyone went in, she needed to make a phone call to the man who sent her here in the first place.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: The First Floor, Mutant Underground -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden grinned and chuckled at Waverly’s comment before he refocused on the kids. His eyes widened at the kid mentioning burning a tent. ”Well lucky for you, we won’t be in a tent and we have a couple people who can put out fires in a hurry. I figure, what with upstairs being converted into an open roof concept, we could rest up there tonight, look at the stars and see what pictures we can find. What do you say? I may even know a few good camp stories for you.” Cayden looked at all the kids, smiling happily. Yes, despite everything, Cayden was still smiling and happy.
The front door slammed open and Cayden looked over, shifting a bit to shield a couple of kids just encase this was another raid. He saw a man walk in, he looked familiar but he looked at Waverly when she jumped to defend, a bit more on edge than Cayden. He smirked at her and shook his head. ”I can’t remember his name but I recognize him from yesterday. He came from the same place James did. Which would be the Morlocks I believe.” The man seemed to be carrying a computer. Was that from the recon? What happened there?

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The 19th Floor of Wizard Tower -- The Castle
Skills:

Cuyler was about ready to continue the theme of attacking the Floor when Rowland led him away and up the stairs after the others had left. He followed Rowland slowly, wondering why they were on the 19th floor. He knew of what this floor was, simply because of Arya but they never ventured here. When they walked in Cuyler felt like he was about to be interrogated or punished. He remained standing, on edge while Rowland spoke. It seemed at the very least, the man believed him. After Cuyler spotted the pristine skull, he tried his best to ignore it and sat down across from Rowland. ”So you believe me then, that Arya is still alive? Thank the gods,” he sighed. The rest of what Rowland said though, didn’t sit well with him. ”Kill her to save her? Rowland what are you talking about?”
Cuyler was feeling a flush of emotions again. He knew Arya was alive and than Rowland had beaten him down with words that Arya was in fact dead. Now again, Rowland was agreeing and saying she was alive. To say Cuyler felt like he was running in circles, feeling each emotion slam into him like the training sessions on Asgard was an understatement. Cuyler held his hands in head, feeling conflicted. He couldn’t kill Arya, there was no way. That wasn’t even fathomable.

Amarantha

Location: The Crypts -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

Amarantha rolled her eyes as her questions were delayed from answer due to Valda’s demand on who Apollodora was. Honestly, would Amarantha bring someone she didn’t trust around the royals? No, she definitely would not. Still, Amarantha crossed her arms and waited patiently. Luna questioned her and she looked over at her friend. ”Nothing, perfectly happy,” she lied to her friend and looked back at Valda. ”Yes the Eastern SnowPlains. We questioned one of those vampires before things got a little out of hand. I want to keep this one around to do the same again. Titan please take him to the Barracks.” Titan frowned a bit at the dismissal but nodded before leaving. He passed Mryus and nodded to the Prince before continuing on.
When Mryus and Ahote walked into the room Amarantha sighed again. Yet more delays to her quest. Time was of the essence here. She looked back at Apollodora, surprised that her timeline was infested with vampires. Well that would have been good to know, especially considering now. Amarantha shifted and then a scent caught her nose. Her pupils widened and she look at Mryus. ”I need to leave.” Amarantha’s luck had just run out and Mryus’s heart was beating rather fast in his neck.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace Courtyard ---> The Palace Crypts -- The Palace
Skills:

Ahote nodded, agreeing with Mryus that a break to think and regroup was the best idea. They would all get a full night's sleep and would be able to better think of a plan. Hopefully by then Bruce would find his siblings and they would all have a better idea of what to do. ”I will come with you,” Ahote told Mryus. It would be good to see the rest of the royal family and ensure their safety. He had felt mildly guilty for not following the Queen and Princess through the cupboard. Hopefully his gamble to stay did not end up in getting Mryus's siblings killed.
Lennox, who had gone into a bit of a shock after being transported three years into the future had finally found his voice again (may have forgotten him…). “I’m going to head back to the barracks then if you are going with him Ahote. I will come find you again once I know the damage of the Castle better,” he said before sprinting off.
Ahote turned and followed Mryus inside and down the crypts. As they entered the hallway Titan passed with a severed head that seemed to still be alive. Vampire by the looks of those teeth. He gave a simple nod to Titan as well before they walked into the crypts. It seemed they were lucky and found who they were looking for right away, Amarantha was even there with a newcomer of sorts. Ahote smiled, hanging back as Mryus greeted his siblings. He was very pleased as well to see them all alive. Amarantha spoke up about needing to leave and Ahote frowned a bit. ”Amarantha, is everything well?” She was staring at Mryus rather intently and there was this wild look in her eye.
