Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Cherry Bomb -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy -- Binding

It seemed that Jack didn’t have a clue about the man’s true age. Either he was good at playing dumb or he truly did not know. That would be a question for another time though as Luna didn't anticipate the mystery man leaving her mind anytime soon. Perhaps she would make a phone call home later on to ask her dad about the man. Meanwhile, the bartender retrieved the picture Luna had asked for and handed it to her. She glanced the thing over, slipping it into her pocket for another question that would need answering. It seemed they were only getting more questions than answers while being here.
Luna shifted in her seat, ready to add more questions about what was going on downstairs when the bartender announced that the bar was closing due to a supposed water pipe leak. Not very likely considering it was downstairs where their partners were. Luna watched the bar empty before she looked at the bartender and slipped into his mind and bound him to his spot. ”Feel free to knock him out or question him. He doesn’t seem to know anything about what goes on downstairs other than they can’t be down there,” Luna stated. She walked around the bar and started shuffling through papers and other things, looking for clues or signs of anything sinister going on.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: JFK Memorial Hospital -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden grinned, impressed with the big guy’s show of force. He looked around for something of equal destructive size, bobbing his head along to the music that was playing. He wasn’t completely familiar with the song but it had a steady beat to it that seemed to make the job suddenly more fun. Cayden chuckled at Waverley’s comment. ”We’re making it work,” Cayden defended happily. Cayden decided on throwing glass figurines would be his best option. As he picked a couple out, he heard a familiar voice and stopped. Cayden turned around to see Vulcan standing in front of them. They all should have guessed this would have happened. He was hopped up on who knows what and knocking him out for a good few hours didn’t seem to do anything to slow the crazy down.
Cayden closed his hands into tight fists, ready to fight when Vulcan attacked Colossus. His eyes widened as the metal skin on the big guy started to smoke. That could not be good. When Colossus told them to run, Cayden was torn on what to do but there was still a mission going on a few floors above them and they needed Waverley to keep on top of those cameras. At the very least they had a big enough distraction now. ”Come on Wave. You stay focused on the cameras if you can, I’ll guide you.” Cayden took a hold of Waverley’s hand and pulled her away from the immediate fray. He looked around the gift shop, searching for an exit other than the one Colossus and Vulcan were fighting in the middle of. No such luck was on the young mutants sides though. Cayden pulled Waverley over to a corner of the store and stood in front of her. They would have to time their escape or Cayden would have to hold whoever came after them off long enough for Waverley to continue on with her job. He loosened the leather throng from around his wrist and tied it around his hair so it was contained and out of the way.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Human Resistance HQ ---> Magneto’s Palace-- New York City, New York.
Skills: Enhanced Intuition

”Dumb no, strange possibly,” Antoinette defended. She understood the danger of the situation and the problem it was causing for everyone but Wanda was still a person with feelings, hopes and dreams. Her creating this reality was proof enough of that. Antoinette didn’t believe anyone should be treated with disgrace, even the enemy. Treating Wanda kindly could end in their favour or it could not. Antoinette would act the way she wanted to.
Klara opened up a portal for them all. Antoinette was just as surprised as everyone else at Pietro’s connection with his sister still being open but maybe that was just proof of Wanda’s human nature and kindness. There was only one way to find out though and Antoinette got off of the floor and walked through the portal. She followed the lines of the stairs up the front of the palace and glanced at each of the many windows. Her blue eye flashed as she tried to use intuition to get a sense of what would transpire here but it was completely useless. As Tony and Miranda spoke to each other, arguing about who knows what, Antoinette moved around the group and headed up the stairs. Splitting up may be a wise idea but Antoinette had questions of her own and she headed into the palace first.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Inside the Big House/Infirmary -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel smirked at Rebecca’s notes of disgracing a book by dropping it. Only she would feel that way. If this was Hogwarts, she would so be a Ravenclaw. Ezekiel moved out of the way as Rebecca took to guiding Rosie. That was his job. He reached over and grabbed a stethoscope before moving to follow Rebecca when Rosie’s eyes shifted and green smoke filled the space around the three of them. Ezekiel froze mid step and his eyes rolled as the vision overtook him. The vision he saw was a thing of his imagination. He knew the stories of this place, they all did. Everything was taught in classes or scary stories around campfires. He had never seen it other than pictures and his imaginings. It was much worse than he thought. The eeriest thing had to be the troops moving in steady formation to one location.

The vision cleared and Ezekiel stumbled forward, nearly tripping over Rosie who had fallen on the ground. Rebecca was more on top of things and cradled Rosie as she spoke her prophecy which usually followed her visions. Ezekiel heard the son of medicine bit and hung his head, making an annoyed sound in the back of his throat. ”Seriously?” He looped the stethoscope around his neck before he scooped up Rosie. She had a vision so there was no need to be cautious about moving her and he laid her on one of the beds. He adjusted the pillow under her head and even laid a blanket over her before he started to check her vitals, just encase. ”Hypnos, Athena and… Apollo,” Ezekiel repeated, hesitating on his father’s name. I seriously hope she means more than one of each. As for the mother of all monsters. I believe she is referring to Echidna. You know, Typhon’s wife.” Which would explain seeing Tartarus in the vision. ”And if she’s involved, this won’t be good. We should probably get Chiron and Mr. D.” Ezekiel knew a lot about Echidna, if Rebecca had more questions, he should be able to answer most of them.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Cassi’s Bedroom ---> Kitchen -- Cassi & Layla’s Apartment
Skills:

Cassiopeia made an undistinguished grunt in assent before she rolled over and stared at her floor a moment. She flexed her fingers, feeling the muscles stretch and roll over bone before she threw back the covers and walked to the window. She peeked around the curtain to see dark grey clouds and smiled a little. A bit of a chilly day was always the best for a hunt. She let the curtain fall away and went to her closet to dig out her hunting gear. As Cassiopeia dressed, she reminded herself to feed the cats before leaving. Cassiopeia had left her bow and archery gear in the jeep but she did grab a set of knives as well. Most of the time she left that job to her sister though. She was an artist with knife use of any kind.
”Come on kitties, time to eat,” Cassiopeia called as she walked out of her room. She was dressed in camo with a dark grey sweater underneath her jacket and her hair had been secured under a hat with a bright orange stripe all the way around it. It wasn’t a fashion statement but it would make other hunters think twice before shooting. Cassiopeia went to the pantry and grabbed the cat food before filling the two dishes for them and topped off the water. ”Should we bring sandwiches or something?” Cassiopeia wasn’t sure how long Layla would want to be out there.

Willow Jones

Location: The Diner

Willow smiled, happy that she would be getting her food. One more thing to postpone studying. Willow didn’t think much about Sierra having received a letter as people received letters all the time. She finished off her cup of coffee and pushed her text away just in time for her food to arrive. ”Thank you,” Willow said pleasantly. She took her napkin and placed it in her lap. The food smelled delicious and her stomach grumbled happily.
Willow cleared her throat and looked back at Sierra. ”Always nice to just chill out and watch Netflix. I have to head back to school after this for an afternoon class,” Willow said and shrugged. She took a bite from her food and smiled, it tasted decent for a diner. Willow’s tastes were definitely more refined from her upbringing but sometimes you could find the most amazing things in the unlikeliest of places.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: Wizard Way ---> Asgard -- The Castle
Skills:

”He wants my eye? Excellent,” Cuyler said and made an attempt at rolling his eyes which was an idiotic thing to do. He cried out and couldn’t even grab the area of the source of pain. ”The next time I shoot someone with an arrow, I’m going to appreciate the pain of it a little more.” Cuyler cursed as the nausea seemed to surge and he doubled over, trying not to lose what was in his stomach.
The bifrost opened up and they were all transported up, Thia included with her meal in tow. Cuyler dropped to his knees once they were back on Asgard. He couldn’t stand the pain much longer and was ready to just rip the thing out with his bare hands if he had to. ”What? Don’t want to watch me hand over my eye to some random,” Cuyler managed to get out. Sure if Arnora wanted to leave and continue on with the original mission she could or she could stick around and come with them. Maybe Cuyler would need the emotional support.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Dungeons -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

Amarantha locked eyes with Mryus, weighing his words and nodded. The manacles on her wrists sealed closed and she could instantly feel the curse seeping into her skin and into her bones. She took a deep breath and shut her eyes while Myrus relayed his offers. She chuckled darkly. ”I believe what are now considered meals for me is the whole reason you are locking me in here Prince Mryus,” she opened her eyes and they shone their brilliant ice blue for a moment. ”I will let them know in the morning if I would desire a final visit from someone.” Amarantha shut her eyes again as the weight of the curse wove its way into her being.
With her added supernatural ability, the wearing of her life force would not be nearly as fast Amarantha imagined but it still didn’t feel pleasant. She focused on her past trainings in order to make the process seem less evasive. As she meditated she also thought of who she would like to see. Titan, to ensure he knew exactly what he was doing and wouldn’t mess up keeping the royals safe. Ahote maybe, to ensure he stayed with the royals and didn’t leave. Mryus needed a friend now more than ever with all the responsibility he was now taking on. Apollodora maybe to see about her future, what it was like for Amarantha. Then there was Luna as well. Now that was a hard one. Amarantha wasn’t certain she wanted Luna seeing her even more degraded than she already had.

Ahote Proudstar

Ahote watched his friend while he tightened the manacles. As Myrus’s voice shook, Ahote laid a steadying hand on his shoulder. The burden Mryus carried, Ahote could only imagine. He had his own burdens back home from being a leader from a prominent family but each village, each country had their own problems and none could be compared to the other. Ahote looked back at Amarantha, listening to her words. It was true, they didn’t need normal sustenance vampires so what would Mryus do. Give her raw meat perhaps? Ahote didn’t know if that would be sufficient enough and remained silent on the subject. ”Have faith Amarantha that we will find something.” Ahote wasn’t sure how much time they had with the curse already working away at Amarantha, but he hoped they would have some time to try.
”We should leave Mryus.” Who knew how Amarantha would start to react with the curse picking away at her. It would make her weaker definitely and by that reasoning hungrier. And when people became desperate, sometimes it didn’t matter that steel chains were holding them back. Ahote turned for the door, turning his back on his friend and mentor. In the moment it truly did feel like a death sentence.

Mystique. Luna tried to jar her memory on the name while she looked at the picture and listened to Havok continue to speak. It seemed the mystery man wasn’t completely mysterious though if Havok’s brother knew of him. ”Perhaps you can call him later and get some information. If Jack doesn’t tell us everything.” Luna finished her drink and shifted in her seat. ”Oi! That one picture there, the pretty blonde, could I see that for a moment? She looks like a friend I know,” Luna told the bartender.
Jack came over and sat on the other side of Luna. She looked at him, trying to gauge his attitude and how to broach the subject. She figured being blunt would be the best avenue. Quickest too. ”I took the liberty of taking a walk upstairs and your friend, he seems a little old for you. By a few hundred years.” Luna’s eyes wandered back over to the door that lead to the basement. Something was going on down there. They wouldn’t be down there that long if they hadn’t found some thing but whether it was dangerous or not was a different question.

Waverley seemed to relax a bit from Cayden’s words and slowly, the signal of her face shifting told Cayden it had worked. He smirked a bit at the expression on her face, it was cute. Cayden looked over at Colossus as he picked up a different bear and spun the little propeller on the hat. He couldn’t help but picture him doing that as the big silver guy and it was a rather comical sight. Of course what happened next was even more comical. Colossus didn’t even remotely sound convincing in claiming to be angry. Cayden watched the shelving unit be thrown and sighed a little. They needed something that would get security to come running and maybe doctors to keep them away from the floor the drug team was on. Or team Cryotherapy according to Waverley.
Cayden tried to act shocked at Colossus’s actions while looking around, trying to think of an idea to cause a bigger distraction. He looked at another display case and shrugged. Why not. ”Really? You call that an angry smash?” Cayden picked up the display case and stepped to the side unevenly. The case swayed and he nearly dropped the awkward weight on himself but he managed to let go and it smashed lamely in front of him. ”Huh, that’s a lot harder than it looks,” Cayden said, trying to brush off his embarrassment. ”How about a throwing contest?!” Cayden picked up a nearby glass figurine and got ready to throw it into the main portion of the hospital.

Antoinette turned and looked to the man Sapphire had called out to. She did not know this James person but he had a healing ability. That was incredibly useful with this group. Now that Antoinette had turned around she saw all the new people that surrounded them. There were a lot of them and it seemed everyone knew everyone in some way or the other. How fascinating that one cause could bring so many people together. ”It’s good to see you again,” Antoinette said. She rested a hand on Sapphire’s shoulder for a moment, not minding the cold at all before she left to let the professionals tend to the wounded.
Antoinette walked back to the main group, hovering around the outside as she listened to everyone start to figure out a plan. Tired of standing, Antoinette opted to sit down and the closest option was right there on the floor. She curled up her legs, crossing them and watched the debate as they tried to decide how to approach Wanda and the Palace. ”She likes penguins,” Antoinette threw in. ”We could gift her one, lure her out somehow.” In Antoinette’s mind, the Palace gave her the upper hand. They should try to bring her to a neutral territory of some sort.

Cassiopeia Hood

”It’s just the same usually over and over. This is good though, has some good comedy. Right up there with Zombieland,” she noted. Cassiopeia looked at the letter, staring at the thin paper and shrugged. ”I guess we could but the thing says to go there in three days. Nothing is going to be there now LaLa. Why don’t we do something fun instead. Go for a hunt or throw knives at the back fence,” Cassiopeia suggested. Cassiopeia had first gotten her love for archery from their last adoptive parents. They had been young but weren't looking for a baby to raise, which was usually the norm. When Cassiopeia and Layla had first met them, Cassiopeia had taken an instant shining to them, which anyone who was in the system, knew that was a bad idea. That time though, luck was on their side and they were adopted. There was no place Cassiopeia loved better than being outside, hunting and gathering. Well, except for day's off and that was snuggled in bed with the cats and her sister.

The current episode ended and rather than allow another to start, Cassiopeia shut her computer off and shoved it away. She grabbed her muffin wrapper and crumpled it up before aiming for the trash can, which she missed. ”Hit the bullseye every time but miss a damn trash can. That’s not right.” She then looked at the letter they received and followed suit. It arched nicely but bounced off the can onto the floor. Cassiopeia groaned and fell back onto her pillows. ”I think that’s a sign I shouldn’t leave the house today.”

Willow blushed from Sierra’s compliment on her name. Relax Will, she’s just being friendly. It’s her job, she mentally chided herself. ”Oh uh, social work,” Willow stuttered. She cleared her throat and busied herself by taking a sip of her coffee. It worked on calming her back to a relative normal and Willow flipped a page in her text. ”Well you can stay if you like. Truth is I’m not a fan of studying but I have a paper due soon and a test. I love what I’m learning, just wish the work wasn’t so intensive,” Willow confessed. She was always a very open person, talked too much for her own good although she hardly noticed that.
Willow leaned back in her own seat, officially distracted and took another sip of her coffee. Her stomach growled in response, wanting something more than just liquid. She looked over at the kitchens, smelling food and wondered when her order would be up. Willow heard paper flutter and turned her head back and saw Sierra look over some paper before slipping it back into her apron. Sierra’s boss came over announcing that she could leave since they were quite slow. ”Well that’ll be nice. Free afternoon and all,” Willow commented.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Inside the Big House/Infirmary -- Camp Half-Blood
Location: Medical Know how

Ezekiel was bobbing his head away to the music pumping from his headphones. He had a tendency to listen to it rather loudly so it was no wonder he hadn’t a clue Rebecca had asked him a question. Not very good spidy senses on Ezekiel’s part. He did however, feel the guest of wind that came through the house and he had a pretty good guess who that was. Ezekiel sighed, pulling out his headphones and slipped them into his pocket. ”What, the ambrosia didn’t work?” He figured Leda had come to her senses or the adrenaline had worn off. When he turned around he gave a start, seeing Rebecca and Rosie suddenly there. ”Holy gods, like drop a book or something next time,” he said, annoyed.

Ezekiel’s annoyance faded though at seeing Rosie’s condition. She looked rather out of it and Ezekiel wasn’t sure if it was because she was straight up sick or about to have a vision. ”We’re fully stocked on our herbs and things. All natural items, things she can have if you want to brew her something Rebecca.” The annoyance in his voice was gone, completely replaced with the calm medical voice he had adapted from his childhood. Ezekiel bent down in front of Rosie and started looking over her more closely, looking for any signs of distress. Having Rebecca here or any of the Hecate kids helping out the Apollo kids was a great help, especially in times like this or serious battles. Sometimes one Apollo kid just didn't have enough hands.

Cuyler’s head spun and the increasing pain he was feeling was not helping matters. The raw meat thrown at Thia enticed her enough to pick it up and carry it a short distance to tear at it in contentment. For who Sága was to him, he should have reason to doubt her. He hardly knew her but of legend and story and as he knew now, they had a tendency to lie of who the gods really were. There was so much he didn’t know, so much his mother hadn’t shown him. Why had she kept so much from him? All she did was train him in his power. Still, he felt compelled to believe in Sága. He didn’t understand how his role in drinking the waters was going to change the world’s fate but maybe if he did this, he would stand a chance at saving Arya as well. ”Where do we have to go?” There was determination within Cuyler’s voice. Clearly he had made his decision.
The pain in his eye didn’t subside and it was seriously blocking his thoughts and fraying at his nerves. Which may be one reason why he hastily agreed to a possible suicidal plan. ”Is there something we can do about this?” He gestured to his eye, only guessing at the horrid sight he probably looked with an arrow sticking out of his eye. He didn’t even know if he was bleeding from it as all he could feel was searing pain.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Vault —-> The Palace Dungons -- The Palace
Skills: Resistance; Stamina;

Amarantha continued to hold her head up high even though defeat was coming. It took all of Amarantha’s control not to physically fight her way out of this. Even though she had accepted her fate, she was scared. The darkness, the isolation and not to mention the fact of where they were going. People had more than likely died down in the dungeons and if it were recent, that meant ghosts walked about. Amarantha feared ghosts. She never wanted to see one. It was why she never went into Lyra’s room after Puck had been killed. There were many deaths in Amarantha’s life, most at her hand and she didn’t want to face them in their after life.
Mryus informed Valda of where they were headed and then they were off. Mryus led them while Ahote brought up the rear. Two people guarding her as she was taken away. As they approached the dungeons, people Amarantha fought with and trained stood there, being ever vigilant. It was hard, seeing their faces go from shock to pity; hopefully Titan, would do well in her place. Or Apollodora if she was able to stick around. They stopped walking but Amarantha continued to stare ahead. She looked at the chains sitting in the middle of the pitted cell, measuring their length and their purpose. The curse Mryus spoke of. She wondered what it would feel like, if she would see anything, hear anything. While Mryus posed the offer to Ahote to chain up Amarantha for him, Amaratha stepped forward and into the cell. She walked over to the chains and knelt on the ground. Her combat gear shifted and sighed as she bent down to her final resting place and clamped one manacle on her wrist and then one onto the other. She looked up at the men standing in the doorway. ”Ahote, come and check these are tight please.” She twisted the manacles, taking on their weight and looked up, past Ahote and stared at Myrus. ”I trust you know what you are doing.”

The walk to the crypts was a quiet one. There was an eerie silence between all of them and even the guards they passed as they watched their former leader walk to her prison. None of them knew what she was now as the royals and him had just found out what happened to Amarantha. Ahote would tell them, if the royals didn’t get to it first. The lights from the torches bounced off the rock walls around them, casting nasty shadows that seemed to take shape and form of creatures who would like the dark and dreary such as this place. Ahote wondered what this curse was and what it would do to Amarantha.
They reached their destination and Ahote looked to Mryus when he offered to chain her. Ahote thought a moment and in that moment, Amarantha walked into the cell and chained herself. He stared at her, feeling admiration and sadness for the now ex Commander. Strength even at her weakest point. There was still a fire in her soul even if it was considered dormant from her condition. Ahote nodded at Amarantha’s instruction and stepped into the dungeon. ”Va où tu as peur de marcher,” he said to her. It was a saying from his land that he often said to himself when he was about to embark on a new journey in his life. Whether that be travel, a battle or saying goodbye. Today, it was a blessing for Amarantha and a comfort for him.
