The primal urge to obsessively access your uni portal to see if your classes have been released, so you can read the syllabi thirty-seven times before class next week.

Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Stark Tower -- New York City, New York.
Skills:

The information on the size of the ship was rather daunting but at least they knew what the object in question looked like. Antoinette looked at the image of the device, trying to commit the image to memory. With the supposed size of the ship, there was a slim chance they would find the device quickly; although, they’ve been lucky before, if not in the way they expect. ”Do we have any idea where it might be approximately on the ship?” It would be so much easier if they had an outline of the ship. Antoinette could sketch the thing out or create an illusion of it on a smaller scale.
She walked back over and stood with Carolina, crossing her arms. There wasn’t much ability Antoinette had in this situation other than to ask questions. She didn’t have speed, she didn’t have the mechanics to understand a ship or how it worked but her intuition could potentially help her to get a lead on where the item might be. They would have to move quickly, that much was obvious. She looked over at Carolina, smiling softly at her friend before taking her hand in hers. At least they could do this together this time.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Chinese Place -- Wichita, Kansas

”Well we can cut it down,” Cassiopeia stated. ”Donate some of it to the orphanage or shelter,” she suggested. She sat down across from her sister, taking up the other menu and scanned over the different options she could choose from. She was probably going to order a meal for two for herself so there were leftovers for the following day. ”What are you getting?” Cassiopeia always liked to get something a bit different from her sister so there were options for them later on.
She poured herself a glass of water from the pitcher that was already on the table and sipped the refreshing liquid while she attempted to make a decision on what she wanted. Now that Cassiopeia was out of the house, she was glad to be doing something a bit more productive than laying in bed all day. Granted, she wouldn’t have completely regretted doing that either.

Willow Jones

Location: The Diner
Skills:

Willow sighed when the girl took off with her money. She looked back at the ruined paint on her car and tossed her school books inside her vehicle before running a hand through her hair. Her parents were going to be so upset but Willow wouldn’t have called the cops, even though her parents would have insisted. No, Willow wanted to help kids like that and it didn’t always require punishment, sometimes they just needed someone to listen to them. Willow moved to get into her vehicle when she saw Sierra waving at her, gesturing for her to come back into the restaurant. Well, she was already going to be late for school and in trouble with her parents, may as well play hookie for the afternoon.
Willow closed her car door and locked it again before walking back into the diner. She sent a quick text to her mom, letting her know that someone had keyed her SUV. She wasn’t going to say that some kid did it, that didn’t seem entirely right to Willow. ”Hey, do you think I could get another coffee? I know you are technically off now…” Willow said to Sierra when she walked back in. Clearly she knew what had happened to the car and the coffee wasn’t Starbucks grade but it would do for the moment.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Inside the Big House/Infirmary -- Camp Half-Blood

Once Rosie was brought awake, Ezekiel helped her sit up a bit, stacking some pillows and offered her the tea straight away. ”What do you remember?” he asked her curiously. He stepped back a bit, giving Rosie some space and looked over when Mary started to grow some peppermint. Ezekiel grinned, being a demi-god was pretty cool, when your life wasn’t being threatened. Peppermint was a well known herb that could have immediate benefits in helping with headaches and other body aches. It was an essential herb, right up there with lavender.

”Thank you,” Ezekiel added to Marygold before she left. He then looked at Rebecca. ”May I?” He wanted a couple leaves to rub between his fingers and break apart to put it into Rosie’s tea. The rest of it he would attempt to make a salve to rub into the back of her neck and temples. ”How important do you think it is to have to go the arena?” Ezekiel asked Rosie and Rebecca absentmindedly.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: Sinister’s Lair -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy -- Binding

”Certainly, one other thing Veil. That astral presence I was speaking of, it’s Emma Frost.” It was poor timing on Luna’s part for when they rounded the corner they had a much bigger foe to deal with. Still, the thought of Emma Frost being here, even if she wasn’t fully here was unsettling. This place was definitely part of Shaw Industries and possibly Frost International. At the very least she had a hand in it and was currently here doing god knows what and if she was projecting herself here, she knew they were here.

Luna huffed and ran fingers through her hair. If Luna could get close enough, she could attempt to take him out but there was the whole claw thing. Taking down Sabertooth from a distance would be the best bet. Spark Plug showed up then and she glanced over at her. ”Welcome, I’ll try to keep him in place if you want to try shocking him,” Luna suggested. She stepped around Veil and narrowed her eyes at Sabertooth and attempted to enter his mind to bind him in place.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Roundabout Gift Shop - JFK Memorial Hospital -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden managed to find the Aspirin but he wasn’t about to go and pay for it. After all the gift shop was completely destroyed. He grabbed a couple bottles and hurried back to Sapphire. The other’s were starting to talk of the sirens drawing near and they didn’t have much time. Cayden opened the bottle and handed a pill to Sapphire. ”Here,” he said, tucking the bottles into his pockets. ”I can carry him if you can’t big guy,” Cayden offered Colossus. He wasn’t sure how much damage was truly done, or how quickly he could heal. There had been a lot of silver blood.
Cayden looked at Waverley when she said that the plan to throw the cops off their trail had backfired. ”Right, well guess we are treating him on the move then.” Cayden still wasn’t thrilled that they were going to try saving him in the first place. Sure, he wasn’t a killer but this was the second time Vulcan had come after them and this time he nearly succeeded in killing one of his friends. Not to mention the serious damage Cayden sustained, which wasn’t making him feel warm and fuzzy at the moment.

Antoinette McCarthy

The plane ride wasn’t so bad. Antoinette sat near the window looking out over New York City and the strange clouds swirling above. The city itself didn’t seem any different, which was strange considering everything that had happened within the city only a short month ago. Antoinette sighed and pulled her sweater up around her face and huddled into her clothes until they descended on top of Stark Tower. Carolina had been helping Antoinette get a better grip on her PTSD and she was able to sleep through the night at least three times a week now which was good for her but the evidence of her struggles was still plain on her face her loss of weight as well. She was cold most of the time these days.

Antoinette followed the rest of the X-Men and her friends into Stark Tower. There were several familiar faces along with a few that Antoinette only ever saw in magazines or on TV. Her eyes widened when she saw Thor and Captain America. She latched onto Carolina, tugging on her arm to make sure she was seeing them too. To have so many of them in one room was equally exciting yet terrifying. Antoinette was used to that feeling, it seemed their lives lived in that strange realm to begin with.

Talk within the room quickly shifted to a new threat on Earth and she looked out the window watching the purple clouds shift to reveal eyes. Antoinette moved to the window, getting a better look at the strange thing while talk continued on about who it was and what the mission was. She leaned against the window, turning her head only when Mary spoke up about them being the ones who would be shot into space. It shouldn’t be surprising, they were expendable as sad as it was and most of them had survived the M-Pox as well.

”The device, on Galactus’s ship, what does it look like?” Finding it would be tricky but knowing what it looked like would help them all immensely and then they would have to decide who would be the distraction. It always seemed like they needed a distraction.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: The Well of Mimir -- Asgard
Skills:

The sound of Arya’s voice in Cuyler’s ear was pristine and perfect. If he shut his eyes he imagined he would picture her, draped in the candle light from his ship, singing to him as he would often ask her to right before they fell asleep. His heart ached for her and he fought the urge to turn into a waiting embrace that was not there. That weakness seeped into his muscles and although the hooded figure asked him a question, Cuyler did not hear. The waters were calling to him, rippling underneath their un-moving feet in lazy patterns. Cuyler peered into the water, his arms relaxing as the waters themselves seemed to call to him. He only managed to pull away when he felt the sensation of the waters calling him to dive in, to drown. Drowning had always been a fear of Cuyler’s. He would not walk into it willingly.
The hooded figure asked yet another question to which Cuyler heard clearly and paid attention. He stood straight and looked the figure in what he assumed to be the face and spoke. ”I seek to drink from the waters of Mimir. I offer my eye as sacrifice.” Cuyler gestured to the arrow that still stuck out from his eye. He became nervous that he would now have to pluck his own eye out but he supposed that would be part of the deal. How would one even pluck their own eye out? It didn’t seem pleasant at all. Then again, getting an arrow shot in his eye wasn’t pleasant either. On the upside, Cuyler was getting used to only be able to see from one eye.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Road ---> Chinese Place -- Wichita, Kansas
Skills:

Cassiopeia smirked to herself before smiling merrily at her sister. She tapped her fingers along the steering wheel to the beat of the music. As long as Cassiopeia drove, she dictated what was being played on the radio. So it was something slower but it had a deep beat to it that was oddly energizing yet soothing at the same time. ”I think smaller game yes but we could get lucky and find a deer today. That would keep us both tied over for the whole of winter,” she noted.
Cassiopeia pulled up to the Chinese restaurant and shut the car off. Her stomach grumbled with the anticipation of food and Cassiopeia was unbuckled and out of the car before her sister. ”Who’s the slow one now,” she taunted as she headed into the restaurant. Maybe they would get enough for leftovers. Leftover Chinese was always the best.

Willow Jones

Location: The Diner
Skills:

Willow was about to open her car door when she saw the markings on her car and gasped. This vehicle was far from cheap and it would cost a fortune alone to redo the paint and it looked like whoever had marked up her car, cut down enough to get to the metal underneath. A noise caught her attention and she saw a girl humming to herself and still going about keying her car. ”Hey! What do you think you are doing? Willlow stomped around to the other side of her car and glared.
She held out her hand and beckoned for the kid to give her whatever object they were using to deface her car. ”It’s freezing out here anyways. You should go inside. Go on, get yourself a hot chocolate or something,” Willow stated and handed the girl five dollars. Of course Willow was still furious, she was sure her parents would pay to have her vehicle fixed but she was definitely going to be late for class now and although attendance wasn’t taken, her parents would likely know and she would be in trouble for that. Willow knew she should have just stayed at school but she just needed to get out of the stuffy place.
Ezekiel Kel

Location: Inside the Big House/Infirmary -- Camp Half-Blood

Ezekiel wasn’t sure he wanted to go to the arena, after all he did have the nice excuse of having a patient. He looked over at Mary when she spoke and he sighed rubbing his face over his hands. ”I truly am sorry Rebecca. Just, I’m getting tired of being pulled in different directions because of our parents and I just snapped. It was nothing you did,” he reiterated. It was to be expected that they would all be going on these quests and putting their lives on the line daily because of who they were was dangerous, but Ezekiel was still a fifteen year old kid and was bound to snap on the occasion from the stress and fear of it all.

He looked over at Kiera then back to Rosie, watching her eyes roll and shift under her closed lids. ”I wouldn’t say it’s anything special, after all, we all dream but she could be seeing the vision again or hopefully something happier. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about it unless she starts thrashing around or talking in her sleep,” Ezekiel said and shrugged. The kettle shut off, signalling that it was hot and he added the hot water to the herbs he had gotten ready for her headache. ”There isn’t much to do Kiera and Rosie doesn’t know you yet so I wouldn’t want you doing any of the heavy lifting if there is any. You may as well head to the arena. You too Mary, if you want.” He took the cup of hot tea and set it on the table next to Rosie’s bed.

Luna Braddock - Glimpse

Location: The Cherry Bomb (Basement) ---> Elevator ---> Hallway 4 -- Washington D.C.
Skills: Telepathy

Luna shook her head at Max’s outburst. She had to admit, that was a bit of an overreaction to the entire situation. Havok’s thing was humor and to use it to break the tension. Some people must have felt it endearing or a comfort in situations such as these. She looked to Veil and nodded before she shut her eyes. ”Including our seven, there are the two bartenders and another four warm bodies. Plus an astral body, which by my visual count, she said, opening her eyes to look around, "means there are more here than we can see,” Luna informed them. Not to mention the astral body one, how interesting that was to her. The others started to shuffle off to this elevator. Luna looked back towards the stairs and sighed. Veil was right. Shaw probably knew they were here by now so what did it matter if they fell further down the rabbit hole. Xavier did send her on this mission after all, she may as well try and gather as much information as she could and send it off to him before her mind was cut from his forever.

Once the elevator opened up, Luna stepped out into a circular room. It was vast, surprisingly so for being so far underground. Several hallways opened up from the room and Luna decided to take one at random. As she walked down the length of the hallway, she tried looking for anything on the Hound Program or her uncle. The specimens in water that she passed in the circular room were of interest but only told Luna that they had found what they had or rather, she had been looking for. After coming up empty, Luna headed back towards the circular room and tried a different tactic. Astral bodies generally meant a ghost, if she could find a way of communicating and getting their story, that might help her cause. Luna shut her eyes and reached out for that specific astral presence.

Cayden Proudstar - Moonwalker

Location: Roundabout Gift Shop - JFK Memorial Hospital -- Washington D.C.
Skills:

Cayden flinched when James walked over and pulled his hands away. The burning sensation was so strong, he couldn’t stop fidgeting from the pain until it slowly subsided thanks to James’s incredible healing skills. Cayden breathed a sigh of relief once it was gone. ”Thank you,” he said and took the offered hand and stood. He saw Vulcan drop, Waverley standing just behind him and Sapphire running to the man who tried to kill them all and made an effort to stop the bleeding. Odd. Cayden looked at Waverley a moment before he looked at Colossus and walked over to him. ”Alright there big guy?” Cayden had been pretty worried with Colossus taking a beating like he had back there.
Cayden looked over at Sapphire and watched her work. She shouted for some Aspirin and Cayden sighed but wandered into the gift shop. The place was a disaster but Cayden did his best at poking around the place to look for the well known label. Shouldn’t they call the doctors or something like that and have them handle this? After all, they were basically fugitives and if they got caught, Cayden didn’t expect them to be getting out so easily.

Cassiopeia Hood

Location: Parking Lot -- Cassi & Layla’s Apartment Building
Skills:

Cassiopeia smirked at her sister when she harassed her about unlocking the car door. ”Patience young grasshopper,” she teased before she stuck the key into the driver door and unlocked her door. Once she opened up the door she hit the unlock button for the rest of the doors. Cassiopeia then walked to the back of the jeep and tossed her pack inside. Now it was time to get some food and her stomach was already growling with the anticipation. ”I sure hope we catch something when we are out there. We could use a bit more meat in the freezer.”
With their stuff secured in the back, Cassiopeia got into the driver’s seat and turned the car over. She adjusted the heat and the volume for the radio before buckling in. Even though it was an older, much older, vehicle this Jeep still heated up nicely. ”And away we go!” Cassiopeia backed out of the parking stall once Layla was inside and turned out onto the main road and headed to the Chinese restaurant.

Willow Jones

Location: The Diner
Skills:

Willow smiled a little at Rose’s compliment and set her phone aside after texting Sierra. Rose turned to her friend and told her something about finding something about her birth parents. Willow couldn’t imagine being adopted. With training to be a Social Worker and being a couple years in now, she would have to shadow people every once in awhile. Children in the system, it was hard to see and harder to see when they were mistreated which was more often than not. Willow was very determined to help as many kids as she could.
She smiled and waved goodbye to them both when they parted from her side. She hoped everything would be okay for Rose. Willow finished the rest of her meal, not really tasting it as she shoved it into her mouth. She then threw some money onto the table before she gathered her things and stood. ”Bye Sierra, I’ll text you later,” she promised before dashing out the door. She walked over to her vehicle and pressed the button on the side of her door handle that allowed her easy access into her car. Willow would have to hurry if she was going to make it back to school in time.
