Most of the group Ezekiel sat with stood when the prophecies were spoken. The space around him suddenly seemed great as he looked at Jason, Leda and Kiera standing. He looked over at Janelle, wondering how she would handle her brother going on a quest. It was a complete role reversal now from when Janelle had gone on her first quest with him and Kristin months ago.
”You okay?” He asked Janelle. He wasn’t sure how he would be able to support her but he would try his best. Hopefully, the kids leaving wouldn’t have to leave until the morning so Janelle could have the time with her brother.
Ezekiel looked over at Kristin when the people who were standing left to stand with Chiron. She suggested that he should talk to Demetri. Ezekiel looked over to see where Demi sat and saw Arthur and Andy walking to the center, leaving Demetri alone.
Ezekiel ran the prophecies over in his head. Arthur was a son of Hades and Andy a child of Zeus. Demetri was also a child of Zeus but he hadn’t stood. So, for what prophecy had Andy stood for?
”Ya, I probably should,” Zeke noted. He had been hanging out with Demetri more frequently and knew how much Demetri didn’t like being alone and now the two people he cared for most were leaving. Ezekiel’s eyes wandered to Demetri’s hands and he saw the box Demetri cradled. Zeke had forgotten about the present he had received earlier in the night. It had seemed so long ago to Ezekiel now and he sighed, looking back to Chiron and the children who would leave on their quests.

Cassiopeia blushed at Rose’s comment towards her about being cute now and nudged Rose with her elbow before glancing at Red and away. Her mother was smiling. That was a good sign, right?
”Was? You still are cute,” Cassiopeia declared. She wouldn’t get an immediate response though. Cassiopeia heard shouting and turned her head to see arrows flying. Cassiopeia dodged the ones that came towards her but Rose got hit in the process. Before she could do anything, Red was on it, securing her daughter’s wound. Cassiopeia slid off the bench to the ground and rested on her knees. She grabbed her bow and notched an arrow. She looked behind her to see Layla and Rosalia on the ground.
”Lala! You good?” She turned her head back to the fighting and sat up, remaining on her knees but locked onto one of the bad guys shooting at them and aimed for his shoulder. She made her mark before ducking down and notched another arrow. She sat up once more, taking aim for one of the other five nearest them. Her arrow went wide though and Cassi cursed before she loaded another and took aim again. Miss.
”I’m about ready for some words of encouragement, Rose,” Cassi declared. Her hands shook as she loaded another arrow. To be fair, this was only the third time she had been fired at in her entire life.

Willow tried to take comfort in her mother’s words as she expressed that Willow would do well posing as a buyer. She let out a shaky breath but nodded. There was a knock on the door upstairs and Willow jumped a bit, feeling tense and worried all over again. Willow had gone to charity events with her family before and auctions, being interested in odd items was nothing new to her but pretending to be while doing something illegal, well, that was a different story.
Chesire gestured towards a closet for them to hid in and although it looked cramped, Willow was looking forward to a moment of quiet and being given time to process the events that had just unfolded in the last ten minutes or so. Willow grabbed onto Matthew’s hand, since Colby had already gone ahead, and marched into the closet with them. She wiggled around until she found a comfortable space and sighed.
”How are you two doing?” She asked in a whisper.

”Well, not really Janelle but I guess we’ll see what decision Chiron came to,” he said and frowned a little. Nancy’s yelling had been projected for the entire camp to hear, of course some would have been affected more intensely.
”Sorry, Janelle. I could try and help,” he offered, keeping his voice lower this time around. He rested a gentle hand on her shoulder and his hand began to glow as his power seeped beneath the layers of skin and muscle. Ezekiel shut his eyes as the power flowed up to Janelle’s ears and wrapped around her ear drums to soothe the sensitivity and stress they had been put under. Ezekiel pulled his hand away after, smiling a little because he healed her. At least that he could do.
Leda spoke up about the Romans’ being stuck up and Zeke shoved his hands into his pockets. Perhaps Ezekiel’s judgment had been clouded about the Romans’ because he met Nancy and maybe all of this felt worse because Nancy was involved. Whatever it was, Ezekiel would have to let it go. He looked at Leda when she asked if hit his head and he chuckled a little, shrugging.
”Maybe.” Family came in all shapes and sizes and everyone that stood around Ezekiel in this moment and those who had backed him a short while ago, were Ezekiel’s family. He had always felt some sort of connection with certain members’ and a certain belonging at Camp Half-Blood but if any good was going to come out of the earlier fight, at least it was this. At least it showed Zeke that he did have people who cared, even if he was the camp shithead.
Kristin surprised him most though by getting up and giving him a slight hug before stepping back. Ezekiel hugged her from the side, comforted but also reminded that even though Kristin was annoying, she had been his first friend here. She was at least good at introducing herself to the new people and making them feel welcome. She asked about Demetri though and how he was doing and a deep, gross feeling filled the pit of Ezekiel’s stomach. Shame filled him as he looked up, finding Demetri sitting with Andy and Arthur. He didn’t actually know how Demetri was doing. Ezekiel had been so wrapped up in his own personal guilt, he didn’t even check in with the demi-god he nearly killed.
”I’m not entirely sure,” he confessed. ”I asked Bryan to heal him though….” He’d have to find Demetri to check in. At least if he did that, he’d know how Demetri was and if Zeke got chewed out for nearly killing him, well then Zeke might feel a little better.
Chiron wandered past them to speak with the Hecate cabin and Ezekiel tried to relax. Hopefully, no one else would have to deal with an Eidolon attack tonight. Ezekiel took a seat near Janelle and the others when Chiron started to address the camp on the prophecies spoken earlier.
Ezekiel tried to listen to them as clearly as he could but his mind kept wandering. He started drumming his fingers on his leg and knee in an effort to stay concentrated. His mom used to joke about getting him into piano lessons because of how much he did it. Little did he know, it was simply because he was a demi-god and his mind and body were constantly in overdrive.
From what he gathered; the prophecies didn’t involve him this time. The second one he guessed would involve a child of Poseidon, Iris and Hades. He glanced at Kiera and Leda, wondering if the new “it” couple would tag team it.

Unfortunately, Antoinette’s attempt to enter Forseti’s mind failed. The man was far more powerful and the reality stone was warping everything within the Asgardians mind as he warped their reality. They had to shut him down. They had to get the stone from him but how.
The ground shook beneath Antoinette and she looked up in time to see the creature hit the ground near her, creating a crater beside her. The impact set her off balance and flying back. Antoinette scraped up her arm pretty good but she didn’t have any other damage yet, nor had she fallen in the crater. Antoinette considered that a win.
She pushed herself to her feet, looking up at the creature and the space around them. Her eyes began to sparkle and Antoinette thrusted her hands out in front of her. The fireworks erupted from her hands in a brilliant display before quickly fizzling out. Antoinette frowned and tried again. The second time she managed a hit but it did nothing to the creature but the third she was more successful with her aim. Antoinette hit the creature in the eye, causing it to roar in pain and stumble back in pain.

Layla gave a returning thumbs up and nod so Cassiopeia left that alone and watched Rose rejoin them. Cassiopeia shifted so there was more room for her to sit; if she chose to sit near Cassi. Cassiopeia smiled a little at Rose’s answer and nodded, picking up her cup and drank from it. She agreed with Red that it was her decision but Cassi was still worried what it might uncover for her.
”If that’s what you want, I support you.” Robin interrupted them a moment and she looked at her father, smiling and nodded. ”See you later.” She looked back at Rose and Red, trying to make some comparisons before she grinned, a thought coming to her. ”So, Red, what do you remember of Rose as a baby? Was she chubby,” she teased.

The idea of posing as buyers or sellers, then sneaking in and swapping items was even more terrifying to Willow than just simply sneaking into the place. She kept one hand tightened on her mother’s before running the other hand through her hair and sighed. She looked at Matthew in confusion as well, not understanding the reference.
”What do you want us to do then? Pose as buyers as well or hide?” Willow didn’t exactly feel like a thief or a good liar for that matter. Hopefully, she would be able to stick with her mother and do whatever Aurora was doing. That made her feel a little more comfortable if she had someone else who knew what they were doing to lean on.

"Not in the least Kris,” he said. He used a new nickname for Kristin, having never used it before so wasn’t sure how she would react to it. He looked at Leda after frowning at Kiera for her asking him what he did to piss off his Roman half-sister.
”What did I do? I yelled at them for not telling us they had already interacted with an Eidolon and so she decided to yell back at me, saying they thought the girl they had that got possessed did it on purpose, like that would be any better, then she proceeded to criticize us for not being serious and sending people to their death before they are eighteen. And that we are no better because we don’t tell them every little detail that happens here. Not that much has happened since they’ve been here and they were on the other side of the country. Apparently, them covering their asses was more important than the fact that Demi and I were attacked and then I nearly killed Demetri when I was possessed,” he said, holding his still cut up arms for evidence and nodding towards Demetri who could be seen sitting by the fire. ”Then Niah calmed us down, Nancy said they sent a messenger but Chiron never got it so that’s another problem that needs solving. Then I came over here to check in with the only family I really know, since the Romans made it pretty clear that the only reason they are here is because they had nowhere else to go.” Ezekiel crossed his arms and kicked the ground underneath him.
Ezekiel was still clearly very frustrated and needed to vent out the conversation from earlier. Of course, his was the paraphrased version but he tried to explain both sides of the conversation as much as his tired mind and soul would allow. He just really didn’t feel like being yelled at more and hoped they, Kristin and Leda specifically, didn’t tease him too much for calling them family. They fought and spilled blood together after all. How much more family could one get in this world?

Antoinette frowned a little frustrated that her companions were ragging on her for trying to help. She may not be a telepath like Guin but she still had some ability. She could manipulate minds as well as cause them to have sensory changes that weren’t really there. The creatures seemed to be leaving her alone for the moment so Antoinette turned her attention to Forseti.
It looked like Guin had made a significant amount of progress with Forseti, combined with Runa hitting her brother, Antoinette was sure he wouldn’t remain awake for much longer. Antoinette walked closer, focusing on Forseti and the space around him. She reached for his mind in an attempt to manipulate his mind and silence him. They were getting closer to stopping this but they were also running out of time.

Ezekiel was vibrating and barely had time to fully appreciate that his fellow demi-gods were backing him up and were defending him before Nancy stepped in to defend the Romans. Which did not help the situation. His gaze turned on her and he met a fire that mirrored his own. It didn’t deter him, not her yelling, not her sarcastic sorry or even when her voice started to raise to deafening tones. Ezekiel took a step back, holding his hands to his ears but his glare didn’t lessen and her words only further proved his point. Not to mention the fact that she was now bringing a completely unrelated topic into the conversation to turn it around. That pissed Zeke off even more.
He regained his ground, stepping towards Nancy again and away from Demetri to retaliate when Niah stepped in to calm the situation down. Even as Madalyne laid into him, trying to intimidate him with her alpha stare, it didn’t fully register as Ezekiel’s emotions switched from anger to fear. Fear for himself and his family. And sadness, sadness that his half-sister didn’t come to him and that they were so divided.
They had shared things about their dreams, their past lives and how to fire an arrow several different ways but Zeke didn’t know her, not really and she didn’t know him. Not even a little bit.
Ezekiel didn’t even look at Madalyne, he could care less if she was a werewolf. Honestly, he didn’t think she was a monster for it and that was a completely different topic and would probably require a licensed psychiatrist to get her through that.
”That’s the problem Nanc. This is my business. It is all of our business,” he said addressing the entire camp with his hand. ”We were attacked as well, not just you. We should have been involved in solving the problem since this happened here. Chiron is right. We are being divided and your need to have a senate to hash out Roman things that involve the Greeks is not okay. Those prophecies aren’t just yours. Those prophecies weren’t just told to you or announced by a Roman prophet but a Greek one. Which doesn’t even matter since we are practically the same with the same parents. As for life expectancy, that is not our fault. That is the Gods who use us as playthings, so kindly redirect your anger away from us to them because it is their battles we are constantly being thrown into. Their prophecies we answer and if we don’t go, then other people get hurt. People who know nothing of the truth of this world.” Ezekiel was slouching now from the range of emotions that had coasted through him and trying to get Nancy and the others to understand that they can’t do things the way they used to. His eyes burned and he rubbed them, stepping back.
Those kids Nancy talked about, Ezekiel knew some of them, patched some of them or didn’t get the opportunity to. Ezekiel knew what it was like to hold a life in his hands and watch it slip away because he couldn’t save them. He shook his head and rubbed his face, exhausted and sighed.
”I shouldn’t have yelled but it got everyone’s attention and now you can talk it out. Just let me know if we are in this together or moving on separately.” He turned to leave, he wasn’t a leader. He wasn’t Chiron or a praetor or on some high council so his word didn’t count. Bryan entered the group asking who needed to be healed, Zeke didn’t even hesitate when he answered, not caring about his own injuries.
”Demetri,” he said before he walked back towards the campfire and towards Janelle’s group. It was probably a poor character move but Zeke was so drained and people already had their opinion on him so he didn’t care if walking away made him look bad.
”We might want to sit down, hopefully we’ll have a big conversation about what the hell is going on. Are you guys okay?” He asked the group. He hadn’t even noticed that some had been looking back where he had just been, having heard Nancy’s yelling.

Cassiopeia smiled when her father agreed that they would be able to do that for her and her twin. It may have seemed childish or silly and Cassi felt a little embarrassed now that she had asked Robin Hood to sing to her but the song had been a great comfort to Cassiopeia growing up and now she wanted to hear the song sung by the people who raised her for a short time.
”Thanks dad.”
Red answered her question and Cassiopeia watched Rose and Merlin curiously. She had never thought to ask Merlin for her memories back. Cassi sat silent for a moment as she wondered if that was something she would want for herself.
She caught movement in her peripherals and saw Layla waving. Cassi waved and nodded in return before giving a thumbs up with a questioning eyebrow lift, checking in to make sure Layla was alright.
”Are you worried, what bringing her memories back might do?” Cassi asked Red curiously.

Willow held onto her mom even after they finished hugging. She said that she wouldn’t leave Willow again but she wasn’t so sure. Anything could happen in this land, Willow knew that much so far. Jafar was sending guards after them to monitor the shop so they knew who these people were clearly and someone of Jafar’s capabilities clearly didn’t need a reason to take people.
”So, we have to break into the palace? How are we going to sneak into such a heavily guarded place?” The Genie would be well guarded, Willow was sure of that. She took comfort in holding onto her mother while she listened into the other conversations.

Well, my illusion casting asks for some telepathic ability. I’ve used it once like Guin does in battle before. It is fairly new but I thought perhaps if two of us did at the same time, it might help. The creatures turned their attention on the group and each attacked. Antoinette was thrown back with a few of the others and landed on the ground. She fell back, staring up at the sky a moment before she scrambled to her feet and held up her hands. Her eyes started to glow and sparkle as she engaged in her pyrokinetic ability.
Antoinette concentrated her ability on the creature’s face and head, hoping to maim it by burning or blinding. Antoinette managed to land a couple hits of fireworks that aggravated the creature. It was all very possible that she hurt it too and Antoinette was hoping for that as she aimed for another attack in the same area. Annoying it was one thing and would make it more angry. Antoinette knew it was a risk but she had to try. She didn’t know how they were going to take Forseti down but since he was the controller of these creatures it would be best but how did you take down an illusion casting Asgardian?
Antoinette made another attack that yielded much of the same result as the first time. Well, at least she was making some progress, right?
