Antoinette McCarthy

Location: Random Forest – New York City
Skills: Illusion Casting; Hand to Hand Combat;

The bees Antoinette casted succeeded in making Nightlocke rather angry but it didn’t terrify her like Antoinette had been hoping for. She took a step back to regroup and think of something else, but as she did, she got slammed by exploding cards. It sent her flying backwards until she hit the ground and hit her head.
Antoinette was rather disoriented for a moment before she managed to sit herself up. Her hand immediately went to her head and she pulled her fingers away to reveal blood. The amount of times they had all hit their head, it was amazing none of them had brain damage.
Antoinette shifted and pushed herself to her feet once more. The pouring rain wasn’t helping matters and that limited Antoinette’s ability. She let the thought of fire go and just tried to concentrate on taking Nightlocke out.
She kept her illusion of bees but instead, tried to shift them so that they were on fire. Antoinette saw no shift in her illusion and slowly the bees faded from existence. She looked around at those fighting and felt a twinge of self-pity and doubt. What was she even doing here? She wasn't a fighter like these people but she had to try, at least so she wouldn't be killed.
Focusing back on Nightlocke, Antoinette ran for her in an effort to attack. She missed her target but her dad's voice filled her head, reminding her what to do next. She shifted back onto her rear foot, turned and hit Nightlocke with a hook to her head. Nightlocke stumbled back from the force of it and Antoinette raised her hands to protect her face but was ready to strike again.

Mystery

Location: Random Forest – New York City
Skills: Illusion Casting - Sensory Inducement;

Mystery attempted to sidestep Guin’s attack but she still ended up on her back staring at the sky. Mystery started to laugh before she pushed herself up onto her elbows and looked at Guin. She grinned at her question and shrugged. She looked down and picked off invisible thread from her outfit before she sat up.
”Your Annie must be quite boring if you didn’t know she had this in her. Maybe I should pay her a little visit, show her what she is missing out on.” The fire around them started to dim thanks to Klara’s water. Mystery let that minor annoyance go and got back to her feet to answer Guin’s next question. ”Unfortunately, my tragic backstory is quite unremarkable and like most mutant little girls, my mommy and da were killed in front of me. Would you like to see?”
Before Mystery could show Guin her parent’s death, Haze’s counterpart was hit in the head by flying rocks. Mystery turned around, her eyes sparkling with fire and anger as she glared at Exodus. ”Back off, she’s mine. Worry about Quicksilver 2.0,” she suggested before turning back to look at Guin.
Mystery stalked towards her downed prey, a smirk on her face as she twisted her right hand around and around, weaving physically what she was trying to do mentally.
Fire poured from Mystery's mind into Guin's, however, her first attempt failed but Mystery pushed harder and broke past the barrier into Guin's mind. To Guin it would feel like her head, brain, all of it, was on fire. There was no fire to be seen but the raw sensation if it would hopefully be enough.
Still a foot away from Guin, Mystery crouched down, her hand still rotating slowly like a snake. The hand movement was unnecessary but Mystery did like adding creative flair to her attacks.
"How does it feel?" she asked, her voice a low purr.

Too soon the group was on their feet, ready to leave. Cassi opened her mouth to protest but the group was already on the move. Grumbling, she drank the rest of her coffee quickly - burning her tongue in the process - while grabbing some food off the table to eat while they walked.
The air was damp from the rain the night before but it left a crispness that helped wake Cassiopeia up further. As much as she disliked early mornings, there was nothing like waking up in the forest. It was as if the air remained pure and untouched in those precious few moments with the early morning sunlight shining through the canopy of trees.
In her daydreaming, Cassiopeia hadn’t realized they came to a stop and ran into the back of her sister. Grabbing onto her so they didn’t fall, Cassi looked around to see why they had stopped. Six men and their horses had made a small camp ahead of them. Cassiopeia was already thinking about how nice it would be to ride for a while instead of walk. Not that she knew how to ride a horse.
”Uh, if we kill six men, or knock them out, won’t that be a little sus? Plus make our lives harder than they already are. Besides, how many of us really know how to ride a horse?” She looked mainly at her twin and Rose, then Rosalia for that last inquiry.

Willow Jones

Location: Secret Passage -- Agrabah
Skills:

Matthew practically bulldozed into Colby and Willow felt a pang of jealousy at the intimacy so freely shown between the two of them. Sierra’s face briefly filled Willow’s mind and her eyes widened with shock before she shook her head, blushing fiercely. She hurried over and kissed Matthew’s cheek.
”Glad you’re safe,” she said, looking at her pack as she tucked her saree away and then hurried after her mother.
Willow was going to miss the heat and the allure of Agrabah, but she wasn’t going to miss all the sand. They needed to return to the others with the lamp and hurry up and defeat Rumpel. As she walked, she leaned in closer to her mom so they could talk quietly.
”Tell me more about your kingdom,” she asked, her eyes full of light like they had been when she was a little girl dreaming about being a princess.
Ezekiel Kel

Ezekiel very nearly ran into Demetri when he stopped abruptly and turned around. Ezekiel watched recognition cross Demetri’s face before the tears fell. Ezekiel took a step forward when Demetri took one back and then turned back around after wiping his face. Ezekiel frowned but continued to keep up while Demi explained.
At first it didn’t make any sense and then Demetri said Aphrodite wanted to mess with them. Of course, that’s why she was screwing with his powers but that still didn’t answer Ezekiel’s other burning question.
”Gods above,” he cursed before looking back at Cassian who likely heard the whole thing. Ezekiel wasn’t “out” yet, but he also knew Demi and him had been pretty obvious and then there was the whole Janelle calling him out thing. Truthfully, Zeke would have liked to approach the whole coming out thing differently but it was too late, so he was going to try to make the most out of it; especially now that the goddess of love herself was getting involved. As if this quest hadn’t already been doomed from the beginning. They reached the platform just in time to join everyone boarding. Ezekiel turned his attention back to Demetri and grabbed his arm.
”It’s fine, she’ll get bored of us soon enough. In the meantime, you seriously can’t run off like that, Dem. I know you’ve been in battle before, but this shit is serious. We are completely vulnerable out here. No going off on your own, alright? Also, you might want to shift back to a cat or risk getting thrown off the train,” Ezekiel added before letting go of Demi and boarded the train.

Ezekiel wasn't sure why he asked Cassian to join him. Maybe he was trying to listen to Nancy and do things as a team, rather than individually or maybe he just wanted him to quit speaking to and bugging Janelle. Whatever the reason was, Ezekiel instantly regretted it when he was asked what was wrong.
Ezekiel tightened his hands into fists and clenched his jaw in an effort to keep from rolling his eyes and telling Cassian to mind his own business. "I am more worried he'll knock off one of all our lives. It's his first quest and he's already broken the number one rule." They rounded the corner and Ezekiel spotted Demi at the same time the announcement was made that the train was pulling into the station.
Ezekiel was relieved and angry at the sight of Demetri. He wanted to yell at him for being stupid as well as hug him in relief that the idiot was still alive. However, Demetri didn't seem to notice or care that they were there as he pushed past, completely ignoring Cassian's words. Ezekiel watched Demetri's back, frowning before looking at Cass and hurried to catch up to Demetri.
"Why did you run off like that?" Ezekiel asked as they made their way back to the proper platform and the others.

Runa quickly jumped in front of Antoinette, for which she was grateful for as it allowed her to regain her focus. Unfortunately, it was too late for her to defend herself against the alternate Bethany. Nighlock wrapped her quickly with shadows and didn't linger in tightening the bonds even though they were loose initially.
Everyone was fighting their own battle at this point so Antoinette concentrated on her assailant. First, she used her pyrokinetics so the light broke the shadow bonds. Antoinette stood and shook out her head and limbs before creating an illusion of bees. Hopefully, this Bethany was just as scared of the fuzzy buzz as her Bethany was. Antoinette sent the bees towards her foe and had them surround her. The large swarm created an angry hum around Nightlock, ready to do more damage with a nudge from Antoinette.

"Oh, Haze. You spoil me." Mystery's eyes instantly started to sparkle and colourful fire erupted across her hands and up her arms. She looked left and right before she shot the flames forwards. They sparkled and danced as they ran along the ground to create a wall of the colourful fire blocking the groups from further attacks on each other.
Her eyes started to glow then and flames seemed to rise higher and even began to emit the small whistle and pop sounds that firework displays often had but Mystery wasn't done yet. She pushed her arms wide to create a pathway to the recently thrown Guin. She sauntered down the hallway of flames to her target.
By this point all Mystery cared to notice was her target and nothing going on around her. Which meant the rising flames that were almost level with the trees, thanks to her illusion casting, went unnoticed by her.
"I'm glad Haze met you. Maybe now seeing how beautiful her eyes could be she'll get rid of that ugly eye patch." Mystery grinned before she shifted into her attack. By now, the grass was starting to catch on fire.

Ezekiel Kel

Ezekiel looked over at his half-sister when she spoke about getting them into a functioning group if they wanted. He shuffled his feet and crossed his arms in visible discomfort. It wasn't that he didn't want Nancy's help, Zeus knows they needed it but they had worked well when it came down to it.
He had been on two quests already and even though they bickered, they had completed their quests successfully. Zeke had thought the bickering had helped them function better as a team and it seemed to have brought them closer if only for a time. The difference now was the stupid love triangle that wasn't even a triangle that was going on.
"A push in the right direction would be good. You've worked with large groups Nanc. Your knowledge would be an asset to us all." He knew Nancy didn't want to be here but maybe having her focused on them would help her compartmentalize.
"I'm going to go see if I can find Demetri. The train I think will be here soon. Cass, come with me, ya?" he asked before heading in the direction Demetri ran off in.

Cassiopeia rolled her eyes at her sister, over the teasing and decided to just ignore the comment. Layla would tire herself out eventually. Flynn was quick to make them coffee and Cassi thanked him once she had her fresh cup. It didn’t quite smell like home but it did smell strong and that was all that mattered. Cassi added some sugar to her cup before stirring it.
As she waited for it to cool, she helped herself to something more to eat. Robin joined them and Cassi smiled at her father. They would be heading out as soon as they were all ready. Cassi sighed and sipped her coffee carefully. It was good to get an early start but Cassi was also ready for a day off.

As Willow looked around the room, trying to distract herself until the others returned, something pink caught her eye. Willow stood and walked over, seeing it was a pink fabric. She reached out and pulled at the item and gasped as the pink saree unfolded itself before her. She held it up against her body and turned around to look at Jasmine.
”Is this by chance an extra you are willing to part with?”
There was a knock on the door and Willow carefully folded the saree back up before Matthew and the Mad Hatter returned. Willow looked up and sighed with relief. It wasn’t all pink sarees though. They were late because of running into some trouble so they needed to move quickly once more.

Cassiopeia groaned with Rose’s greeting. It was not a good morning. Cassiopeia peeked over the blankets and watched Rose wander the room before she walked into the bathroom. Her eyes wandered Rose’s body and watched her ass as she walked away. Cassi smirked. Well, maybe it was an okay morning.
Cassi threw back her covers and sat up, rubbing her eyes after stretching out her body and huffed as she hauled herself out of bed. Cassiopeia packed up her bag and stretched a little while Rose quickly washed up. Once she was done, Cassi took her place in the bathroom, stealing a kiss from Rose as they passed.
Cassiopeia followed behind Rose as they made their way down the stairs. Cassi stuck her tongue out at Layla and went over to greet her sister. ”It’s also improper to talk behind people’s backs.” She ruffled Layla’s hair before pushing her shoulder and took her soup to eat.
”Oh, something with caffeine would be lovely.”

The group made quick work of moving through the back streets of Agrabah to Jasmine’s hideout. Willow moved quickly into the building once the door was open. She wanted to get as much distance between her and the guards searching for them as possible. Once the door was shut, Willow took a full deep breath in and out before sitting down in a nearby chair. Then Colby asked what they were to do now.
”Take a breath I’d say. Maybe a glass of water or something stronger.” Alcohol wasn’t always the solution but sometimes it was the only thing that could cut the tension in the body and there was a lot of tension in Willow at the moment. She looked around the room and her tension increased. Matthew and the Mad Hatter weren’t back yet.
Ezekiel Kel

Ezekiel smirked at Nancy’s reply and nodded in agreement. Definitely not Cassian. Zeke and Nancy had jammed on occasion after archery lessons and they didn’t make a bad pair. Zeke had even taken the time to learn some of Nancy’s more favourite songs from the 80s.
”Don’t worry Cassie, I always have a guitar on me.” Zeke could not sing but Demetri had gifted him with a guitar that shrank down to look like the wristwatch that currently sat on his right wrist, along with the evil eye bracelet. Looking down at the watch now made Zeke sigh and he looked up, seeing fem Demi just up ahead. He needed to talk to Demetri about this and hopefully before Zeke lost it on him.
Ezekiel started to move towards Demetri when he suddenly took off. Zeke came to a halt, wondering if Demi was running away from him or if he was running for some other reason. Whatever the reason, running off as a demi god and a child of the big three was a seriously bad idea. Ezekiel glanced over at Nancy who had claimed a piece of wall to lean against and then he looked at Kristin who sat down on a bench. Ezekiel started to pat an anxious rhythm on his leg as he debated on going after Demetri or let him encounter whatever evil was about to befall him to teach him a lesson on not leaving the group.

Antoinette continued to scan the forest as she walked with the others. It was odd not really having a sense of direction to go. Even Runa couldn’t get a read on where the crystal was. Eventually she came to a halt when she felt a gust of wind go by and then a sword was embedded in the tree in front of her. Antoinette’s eyes widened and she turned to see Klara walking past the trees, upset she had missed her target. It took Antoinette that long to realize this was the alternate Klara and they were all in trouble.
The Hellfire club came forward and Antoinette shifted back to be in line with the rest of her group. Emma Frost walked forward and having her here was never a good thing. To top that off, their Bethany’s mind was starting to warp. She looked at the alternate realities Ed and Bethany, not entirely sure she would be able to attack them. This moment was so strange.

Mystery grinned when she saw the doubles of her friends, she shifted to stand on the other side of her Guin and peered curiously at the new one. ”Well, she seems a little drab to me. I was expecting, more I suppose. Do you want her or shall I have my fun?” Mystery looked at her Guin, waiting for an answer.
