Things escalated quickly, which wasn’t surprising to Zeke. He was starting to think that being the child of the god who moved the sun around meant each child would have some sort of explosive anger. Each one of them was a product of a solar flare.
Kristin backed up when Nancy challenged her to a fight, and Zeke stepped between the two of them. He faced Kristin and pushed her shoulder gently. ”Go. I know you think you are helping Kristin, but this isn’t how you can help. I need you to go back and be the leader the others need. Go.” He said and released her before turning back to face Nancy.
”If you need to fight someone, fight me. Or we can just walk away.” He held her gaze, willing her to back down, but prepared to help let her fear and anger out.

Antoinette smiled at Mira and nodded. ”Excellent!” She didn’t really think security systems fell under the general branch of working with computers and technology. Perhaps hacking was more general across the board than she assumed. Bethany mentioned button smashing, and Antoinette shook her head. ”I think that would bring more harm. We could accidentally hit something that would lock the entire place down or alert everyone that we are up to no good.”
They continued to walk down the hall. Nothing seemed to present itself as they moved ahead. Antoinette was glad they weren’t coming across any people, but she was worried they weren’t reaching any security place yet. Time was of the essence, and they had an act of losing it.

They were separated into groups to cover more ground; hopefully, that would aid them. Antoinette turned, heading off with Bethany, Neil, Mira, and Arnold. The little tribble continued to sit on her shoulder, unaware of possible danger coming their way. She started to skip as they walked down the hallway. It was a natural thing for her, and she didn’t really notice as she looked around.
”So, does anyone here know how to disable a security system?” Antoinette only really remembered Lance and Guin having proficiency in technology. She supposed she could try reaching out to Guin to get a walk-through, but Antoinette wasn’t sure how reliable her telepathic skills were in that department.

They made it outside, but that was half the battle. Cassiopeia had to cross the crumbling, foot-wide ledge without falling. Cassiopeia gulped, not feeling overly confident. She already hated heights; being injured wasn’t helping that fear. ”Come on, Cass. You’ve survived worse than this.” With a sharp intake of breath, Cassiopeia made her slow way across the edge.
Once she hit the other side, she collapsed on the ground in relief. She knew she couldn’t rest yet. They had to escape the castle's shadow before she could get any first aid, but until the others crossed, she had time.

”I’m not sure it would hold up now that you’ve seen the real thing,” Willow said with a blush. She played with her hair before looking between Sierra and Jack. She looked at the floor, thinking back to seeing Rumple and how terrified she was. Willow had been sure they were about to be taken, and Rumple’s scared face did not help the fear factor.
”It was a sight to see for sure,” she said quietly. Willow pulled back from her thoughts and rubbed her hands on her legs. She smiled at her friends. ”What else did you do, Jack?”

Alexios was really pushing the point here. Ezekiel looked the Greek god over before he smirked. "I thought you were betrothed to Demetri? If you keep flirting with me, the gods may get angry." Truly, Alexios was paying more attention to trying to get a rise out of Zeke than getting to know the boy he was supposed to marry. He took the grape happily, feeling a sort of silent victory at getting a grape from the great Alexios. Ezekiel reached for his burger when he heard Nancy yell.
Zeke hadn't caught her sarcasm, knowing that was just Nancy’s language. It had become a constant in his life, just like wanting to hold Demi’s hand or scribble something down for a new song, but Nancy’s yelling was not. The colour drained from his face almost immediately before she even said the word rape. Ezekiel’s eyes shifted from looking at his half-sister to glaring at Cassian. There was a deep-seated rage there that had Ezekiel gripping the table instead of going for his sword.
Nancy stormed out, and Zeke came back to himself. The anger drained from his face, and he felt pain and emptiness. Ezekiel remembered how much Nancy had struggled to open up to him. At this moment, he felt like she had been violated all over again. Ezekiel shifted, grabbed his bag and put his uneaten burger inside. He knew what it felt like to have control ripped from oneself and what it was like to spend every day fighting for some form of it. As he stood, Zeke kissed Demi's cheek. "I'll be back," he promised before heading after Nancy.

Ezekiel looked at Kristin once they were outside. ”Maybe just…hang back,” he suggested. Ezekiel didn’t know how to handle this situation, but he didn’t think talking about it would magically help Nancy. There was no way he wanted her to be alone, but that was more for his comfort than hers. Being alone for most of his life, he didn’t want to feel that way anymore. He was confident that Nancy knew she had his support in all things, but he didn’t want her to go alone if she decided to stop this quest. He would walk from the quest with her, even if the gods punished them for it.

Humans. Attacking an asteroid. Antoinette imagined it was possible. Humanity had come quite far with their space travel technology, but Antoinette didn’t imagine they would soon be coming after mutants on an asteroid. No, to Antoinette, it seemed the people here had the higher ground.
She watched Fabian walk away, swinging her arms back and forth as she looked around. Sooner or later, they would run into other mutants who knew they were part of the X-Men and attack them. Staying wasn’t a good idea, but they had no solid escape plan, either. However, they did have an opportunity at an inside job.
”I say we stay. Try and figure out the ins and outs of Magneto’s plan. Then we can relay what is happening back home. Destroy the death star from the inside out, if you will,” she said and grinned at Neil. ”That’ll give you a chance to punch more people, Perry,” she added cheerfully, looking at her.

Rose showed just the right amount of concern during a fight. There was no time for intimate moments. Cassiopeia nodded. ”I’ll manage.” She had never had an arrow sticking out of her before but had a few broken bones, many sprains and a few hundred bruises over many years. She was no stranger to pain.
Layla joined them, and Cassiopeia took her offered help. ”Let’s get the hell out of here.” She shifted the bag with the laptop inside on her shoulder. After all that, there was no way she was losing it.

Willow was resting her head on her hand, listening to Sierra speak, when Jack walked over. Willow smiled and nodded at Jack before gesturing to a seat for him to sit and join them. She returned to Sierra’s explanation of Atlantis, and her eyes widened.
”Really? Wow. I suppose I should stop using Disney movies as references to this place… Although if the buildings were dry, I guess Atlantis is more like the movie Atlantis.” She looked at Jack when Sierra said he burned down a few ships. ”Speaking of, we saw Rumple in Agrabah. Your makeover definitely left its mark,” she informed him.

Ezekiel voted for ignoring Alexios. Demi wasn’t some prized calf he would fight over with Alexios, even if he wanted to snap Alexios’s arm that was around Demi’s waist. He would fade into the Underworld happily if he could deal out damage to the god of parties.
Demi pulled them in again before releasing them. Zeke really wished Demetri would just let it go. Ezekiel would live like there wasn’t a marriage hanging over their heads until there was no other choice. He looked at Demi and smiled.
”Well, thank you then,” he said and nudged Demetri before giving him a wink, resuming eating his food.

Cassiopeia bit down on her lip when the arrow embedded itself in her leg. She let out a pained groan before she snapped the shaft in half so that it wouldn’t snag on anything. Behind her, an explosion could be heard. ”So much for in and out,” she said.
Cassiopeia tried to shift her weight so she could limp out of the way. She didn’t need to be a burden or in the way any further. Once out of the way and stable, Cassi lined up for another shot to help her companions get free. With a shaky exhale due to the throbbing pain in her leg, Cassi released an arrow and hit one of the guards in the shoulder.

Willow smiled when Sierra declined to go. She was grateful for that, wanting to stay behind herself. Willow settled more into her chair and rested her hands in her lap. ”I told you about my tale; tell me more about what happened in Atlantis. How did you breathe underwater?”
Willow had always liked the Little Mermaid movie. She, like most children, had reenacted the entire thing in the swimming pool. For the longest time, she refused to swim normally and kept her legs together to move through the water.
