Avery shivered when she blew in his ear. "It's like you want me to loose control," he growled and squeezed Kimiko's legs again.

He walked into the kitchen and plopped Kimiko on the counter top before he turned around. "Mmm, I didn't want to ruin all the progress we made. How are the dishes going? Did I stall long enough so I don't have to do them?" Avery asked, needing to move the conversation forward, so he wasn't thinking about the way she blew on his ear.

A second before Kimiko jumped on Avery's back he felt the tingling on the back of his neck that told him someone was there. Kimiko jumped on his back, shouting boo. Avery jumped and shouted, having half a mind to flip his assailant over on the table, but his wolf was a step ahead of him reminding him that it was their mate on Avery's back.

"Gods above woman! Don't do that." Avery said and squeezed Kimiko's legs. He started the washing machine before adjusting Kimiko on his back and walked into the hallway. "How the hell are you that silent on two feet?"

Avery made his way into the laundry room and started gathering piles, separating whites from darks. Surprisingly, most of the clothing is dark or coloured, so Avery only has one full load and a half load.

He shoved the darks into the washer and added some detergent.

Caden wrapped his free arm around Nero after they laid back against him. His hand rested on their stomach, and he smiled as he recognized the song Nero started to hum. Caden shut his own eyes and simply enjoyed the moment with his little imp.

Avery grinned, holding back another laugh and walked into her room. He set his clothes on her bed before he walked into the bathroom and plugged the tub. Avery rummaged around until he found bubble bath and added some to the water as it started to fill the tub. Then he walked back into Kimiko's bedroom to put his clothes away on the correct drawer.

He slid the drawer closed and glanced around her room, and couldn't help the smile that crossed his face. It was such a simple thing, having a drawer in his girlfriend's room, but it had Avery feeling hopeful about their relationship.

Avery wandered back into the bathroom to check the temperature of the bathwater. He managed to find a few candles and lit those as well for Kimiko. Hopefully Kiki would think his delay was just from him gathering dirty laundry. Once the tub was three quarters fill, Avery shut off the water and closed the bathroom door. He slipped back into the music room to retrieve his knife before heading downstairs to get the laundry started.

Avery smirked, and kissed Kiki's cheek as they passed each other in the hallway. "Was it the underwear drawer?" he asked curiously. He looked behind him while he asked her, noticing how short her shorts were and stared at her ass in appreciation before he focused on walking.

Caden broke into a grin, the worry disappearing from his face once he realized that he had stunned Nero into speechlessness as well as forgetfulness.

"Twice in one day. That's definitely a new record," Caden determined.

Avery's laugh can be heard throughout the house as he disappears to the opposite end. He changed out of his clothes relatively quickly, a grin plastered on his face. The linen charcoal pants he pulled on were lose but they kept him cool, while the long sleeved top sat more snuggly but was still comfortable. Avery slipped on some burk sandals, and pushed the sleeves of his long sleeve up over his elbows before he grabbed a pile of clothes to take to Kimiko's room.

After Caden eats his piece from Nero's fork he returned to his cake. After another bite of cake, Caden glanced at Nero who was suddenly uncharacteristically silent.

"Nero?" Caden asked, worry etched into his face despite the seeing the blush on their face.

Avery chuckled. "Yes, dear. I will go gather some clothes to put in your room. Did you clean a drawer out for me at least or do I get a sneak peek at what's in the lingerie drawer?" Avery winked before dashing out the door to avoid getting hit.

Caden gasped and looked stricken as he stared at the missing piece of cake Nero took from them. He looked from the cake to the peace offering Nero offered and then their lips. He leaned and kissed Nero, licking the chocolate from their lips.

"Even better," he said before taking the offered piece from Nero's fork.

Avert picked up the plate with the chocolate-covered strawberry on it, and chuckled.

"That would be the best," Avery agreed. "Should we do a load of laundry? The staff likely haven't done anything with having the weekend off." Avery bit into the strawberry and nodded appreciatively before he finished the other half and set the empty plate on the trolley. He grabbed the last two triangles of his sandwich and added that plate as well.

Caden smiled crookedly, his eyes shifting between theirs before taking in their face and lips. "I thank my ancestors every day for leading me to you," he said before kissing Nero again.

It was a shorter kiss but just as meaningful to Caden. This time when he pulled away, Caden turned his head to eye the other plate of chocolate mousse. "Would you mind passing that to me, my little imp?"

”Oo, yes please,” Avery grinned. He stood and turned down the volume of the amp before he unplugged and shut everything off.

Avery carefully put Caden's guitar away and returned to his sandwich.

The kiss held a simple possessive promise of unity for Caden. The word mine repeated over and over in his head, and he would challenge anyone on that fact.

Caden’s hand tangled into the loose hairs on the back of Nero's neck, pulling slightly to tilt their head back. He ran his tongue along Nero's lips before falling off to kiss along their exposed neck. Caden had the urge to bite Nero, but he didn't want to scar them like he had nearly two weeks ago. It had taken all day for Nero to heal from the cut Caden gave Nero when they initiated the binding ceremony. The only scar Caden would be fine seeing on Nero that they received from him would be his mark, indicating that Nero was his mate.

Instead of biting, Caden satisfied his need by sucking on a spot below Nero's collarbone before he pulled back and released Nero from his hold. Caden slid a finger up Nero's chest to their chin and tilted their head back to look at him.
