@Crab... see if you can find out what she's interested in. Then ask her about it. No flirting need be involved to just break the ice. :)

Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Really not familiar enough with Mahabharata to answer directly, but I tend to be a fan of low-fantasy that can have some magical elements, but tends toward something resembling historical fiction. Definitely no "I'm a half-dragon/half-god with wings and red eyes that can smite any enemy!" But if someone wants a character that has a few spells, that's cool with me.
Would anyone be interested in a campaign where our characters are sent via ship to explore and "find the end of the world"? (slightly inspired by the Voyage of the Dawn Treader).

Along the way, we'd find various islands to be explored, each with their own dangers and wonders. We could take turns acting as GM on each new island (this would be optional. If you don't like being the GM, you don't have to be!)

I am a LARP fan! I've played quite a few different ones, all live-combat style games. From the traditional fantasy genre with foam weapons, to a Wild West game with rubber band guns, and some post-apocalyptic games with airsoft. All great fun! How about you, @ManiacMaestro?
Hi GrayFox! Would you be interested in a DnD-esque role-play? Some delving into old ruins in search of forgotten fortunes? (And getting into plenty of trouble along the way!)
I've been there... frequently. Just take a break until you miss it, then jump back in! In the meantime, other forms of role play might be enjoyable and get the creative juices flowing again (maybe a table top RPG or even a LARP?)
I haven't quite figured out what kind of character I'd like to play yet. Would anyone like to pair up and either be my +1 or I'll be your +1? :)
I'm interested!
"Never go anywhere without it," Calvin replied. "Let's bring it a bit off into the woods first," he said, pointing away from the road, still slightly worried about Straw's point. The local lord would never miss the deer, surely. But if he got wind of poachers...? Once the carcass was away from their camp, the young man got to work immediately, obviously well practiced in butchering. He handed the elf a few cuts to cook up over their fire, "these should do for breakfast."

While the work of processing the deer was going on, Straw packed up his things and re-situated them atop of pack horse. Occasionally, he glanced down the road, in the direction of Dawsbury, with maybe the slightest hint of impatience.

"Miss Cyriana? You got any salt in that pack? To keep this good for a few days?" Calvin asked as he finished dividing the deer meat into large chunks.
Wow, starting out by shouting an insult to the GM. Interesting approach.
Hi @Brink_ and welcome! Was your post set in a city/town nearby the trio camping in the woods? Or meant more as a backstory for 1 or more of the characters that might met up with Cyriana, Straw, & Calvin?
