I subbed because I'm interested. What's the plot, exactly?

Well I was thinking along the lines of this: The main characters would be a group of wandering adventures (people like bounty hunters,misfits,mercenaries,vagabonds,bandits and the like.) would be traveling to and fro, trying to make money. This however isn't always going to be true, as something massive is afoot... A form of magic nicknamed "The Aether" or alternatively "Quintessence" (of course, named after the Fifth classical element in medieval science.) of course since it is basically Brand New, Very little is still known about it. However, this won't stop people from hunting it down. Eventually, it becomes almost, if not, as valuable as gold itself. As the tensions between countries arise, and even an increase in sightings of strange events and creatures do too,our band of outcasts have chosen to take up arms, get to the bottom of the madness, and perhaps, in the event of their success be fabulously rewarded, not only in regaining their long forgotten dignity, but of course in the the cash they will make, finally giving them a decent life.

Is anyone interested in a steampunk role-play that has a wild west style setting, with some low-fantasy elements (mostly things like magic existing,but it is really complex to actually control, and a few supernatural beings but they aren't commonplace, things like that.)and has a more serious tone, but not in a "gritty,edgy,and serious ALL THE TIME" sense .I also want to delve a little bit more into historical accuracy when it comes to the western aspects, so I don't think there would be any climactic final showdown between the hero and the villain in a movie sense.

Weird Roleplay Ideas You're Afraid To Pitch?

Well, I have tried to pitch Rps in the past with a really weird setting. Basically, the internet as we know it is a separate plane of existence, and our world collides with it. I have not continued the idea, because I was afraid of a more negative reaction from whoever came across it. (Yes in retrospect that was kind of stupid.) That is why I would have Really long Hiatuses. That is all really have to say.
