Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Glenn's brow furrowed as he considered Roan's worry about the two boys following them. "Hmmm..." he replied, giving his left ear a small pull at the same time he chewed his lip, thinking hard about the question. "His father ain't always nice either.. Ms Dotta don't like it much when he comes around. Always drinking too much and looking to start trouble. Peyton's father, I mean. Dax's ain't bad."

"Hey is that all we got, Roan? I'm still hungry," Glenn said after finishing his bread and cheese rather quickly.

Awesome. :)

I'm thinking we lost Illogical Jim. Does anyone want to take over the elf character? Or should we kill him off in the encounter with the drow?
Glenn, accustomed to working hard on Ms. Dotta's homestead, didn't seem to mind chopping and gathering wood for their campfire. He found some that was suitably dry, chopping and splitting it into nice sized pieces to last through the night. "Your head feelin' any better, Roan?" he asked as he dropped an armload of wood next to the firepit and began gathering some dry leaves, tree bark, and small twigs to use for tinder. It wasn't long before he had small flames cracking and popping cheerily.

"You think Peyton and Dax might be after the treasure too," he asked, perhaps finally realizing the reason the cousins had started trouble with them earlier.
I would be interested in doing some kind of adventure fantasy if you're up for it. :) I'm not always a super fast poster, but usually don't bail on RPs.
This sounds neat. I'm definitely interested. :)
Straw watched with some amazement at the ferocity with which Hugh went after the bandits, attacking with such swiftness that the bandits barely fought back. The old man didn't move as Hugh brought his wrath upon the highwaymen and seemed almost startled when the large warrior hurried back over to the downed woman, trying to save her life. So far as Straw knew, their little group contained no healer and he did not expect the woman to last long. "I'm not sure if we can do anything for her now," he said slowly. He seemed about to set a hand on Hugh's shoulder, but thought better of the gesture.

The woman's eyes fluttered open as the warrior snapped his fingers in front of her face. Then she gasped in pain as he pressed down on the wound. Her eyes focused for a moment on the man trying to save her, "the ... potion," she said in a barely audible voice before her eye lids threatened to close again.

"Of course," the ever-calm Rhyldaer responded as they walked back toward their temporary living quarters under the ancient ruins. "I'm sure Haelerin will be pleased to spend more time with our guests before we depart."

"And Althea," the archer added in response to the dwarf's query, trying to position herself to make Orin's efforts to unbind her hands easier. "Thanks," she said as the rope came loose. She brought her hands in front of her and rubbed them together to bring back circulation to her cold fingers.

As Harper started to regain consciousness, Althea felt some relief that the girl was not too badly injured. "We're here, Harper," she said in a tone that was meant to be comforting, even though she was still fighting to stay calm herself.

Unaware that Haelerin was right outside the cell door, using his keen ears to eavesdrop on their conversation, Althea squinted her eyes, trying to get a good look at the dwarf. "How many of the drow are there? And do you know what they want with us?" she asked, already fearing that she knew the answer. Rumors of drow taking other races as slaves made them feared and reviled throughout the civilized world.
I have future thoughts for the rider, but that's it for the moment, I think. So you're it! :)
Glenn nodded, seeming very serious, as Roan asked him to keep the map a secret. "I won't," he promised.

The sun was headed toward the horizon and the rider, whose name was Sibley, stopped the horse and took another look back over her shoulder. "Don't be silly," she told herself, "there's no way he could catch up this quick." She dismounted and led the horse off the road, walking until it was difficult, but not impossible, to see the road through the trees. "Looks like as good a place to spend the night as any," she said. Leaving the tired animal saddled should she need to make a quick escape, Sibley unrolled a thin blanket for her bed. "But, I think, no fire tonight."
As Roan started down the path, the girl gave her mount a light kick with her heels to get the horse moving again, ensuring she kept distance between herself and Roan. "Okay, well, ah, thanks, I guess," she said, then kicked the horse harder to prod him back into a trot, continuing her quick pace ahead of the pair.

Glenn stepped out onto the road, breaking half of a small bush apart in the process. "You think that brigand's after her?" he asked, looking back toward the fork in the road, but for the moment, the coast was clear.
