First Contact/Uplift RP

If not actual Earth, perhaps we could use an alternate history Earth? If not, I would still join. I love first contact themes, but so far there haven't been any good roleplays with one, hoping this will be good!

If people want a casual Sci-fi Nation Roleplay, I'm game to GM one. I'm a NRP veteran and know a lot about how to play and run one. It would be loosely stat-based, but more centered around individual heroes each nation would have.Would that attract some people's interest?

He's looking for a fantasy roleplay, of course there's always Science Fantasy. People usually don't count that though, they almost always want high fantasy and the like. I can't be the GM, but I can tell you that Duck is a good idea for this as long as you're good with the inevitable Equestrian nation.

Yeah, you just said that military unicorns are incapable of anything but levitation. That would make the average civilian only able to hold things. Also, if Faust doesn't use magic, then what does she use? Nanobots? Those can do anything.

Uh... the EA turned into the AIF and is going to lose its OP military fleet in the sequel. It's also really big.

And yes, we are being confined to the Milky Way, at least for colonies. Huge and expensive ships can traverse the intergalactic void, but no colonies.

Well, my Mom drove all the way here to give me my backup glasses. Such devotion is probably not healthy. Anyways, I don't know why I haven't given Darkwolf mod powers. Yeah, he's got them. I will start as soon as I get home, so either 10 PM tomorrow EST or the morning after that.

As for the title... Chronicles of the Stars? No, I think that's copyrighted. Dunno. Also, we're doing reapers and the year thing if that's good with you.

Yeah, besides, logistical concerns take care of the large fleet problem. Fuel tankers would need to be constantly sent to fleets outside the nation's territory.

No, talking to someone is direct. Slightly influencing their emotions is subtle. As for the Gods issue, they have been labeled as extra-dimensional beings who have placed themselves as Gods/Goddesses in multiple cultures, so they can still be in but with limited interference. As for the ship classification, I agree with Wilson, but you can still have your own classes as long as you compare them (Like my Attack Ship, which is basically a light frigate).

Also, I like the inter-universal tear disaster to destroy most of our empires. There could still be some tears, and perhaps even a small storm or two. That would certainly make things interesting. Anyways, I'm going on a three-day field trip and I may or may not have time to post, but if I do, I will be sure to keep up with things.

Yes the aliens will be my own creation but I could not think of any other name that's better than the Race also I wanted it to be set in modern times, but yes the idea came directly from that series.

I really loved that series, I might join this later if I have the time.
