I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

Hey sorry guys i am gonna have to bail...hope your rp goes well guys

Sorry to see you go, thanks for the good wishes. Good luck with everything else you do!
LIV Starfire
"Woah, captain! They're projecting some sort of energy field around us... it'll deflect the radiation and particle buildup!"
"Thank the gods for that, we won't have to worry about killing a trillion people when coming out of warp this time! Alright, I want all the negative mass we've got transferred to the warp ring! Divert all plasma to RCS thrusters, keep us on a stable trajectory!"
The ship began to move forward, strangely drifting faster and faster without any exhaust as negative mass was moved into the warp ring and compacted. As it broke the lightspeed barrier a gravity lensing effect obscured the ship, while also lighting up the skies of Char with a brilliant glow, leaving behind a trail of radiation as it accelerated away from the alien world. A message was sent to the shuttle in response.
"Thank you for your energy shield, we will arrive at Lakfakalle shortly. As we appear to breath the same gases, no atmospheric conditioning will be required in the meeting room. I thank you again for the energy shield, without it the transit would take days. However, with our negative mass reserves, we will be arriving right about now. Please prepare for landing, Archmage Duck..." Fairlan's vice trailed off for a moment, then snapped right back. "Duck de Steelhorn."

As if on cue, there was a slight lurch as the negative mass in the warp ring was ejected and the ship slowed to the same speed it was at before. It was in orbit of Lakfakalle, below it the brilliant blue shell known as the Great Barrier by those trapped on both sides of it. An invisible beam of energy erupted from the bow of the Starfire, ripping a circular hole in the shell. A shuttle was launched from the Starfire, carrying Fairlan and the ship's diplomatic officer. A single message was sent from that craft to the Equestrian shuttle as it descended through the tear towards the green land below.
"Follow us, we shall lead you to the meeting hall."

LIV Challenger, Unnamed System
The Challenger dropped out of warp, spewing a massive cloud of radiation behind it as a result of the particle buildup. Of course, that was certainly better than the radiation being ejected at the bow of the vessel. Though the crew couldn't possibly detect it due to their primitive scanners being bound by the speed of light, there were three groups making contact in the asteroid belt of the system. Of course, those groups definitely knew about the Challenger, as they had just sent a radiation shockwave behind it strong enough to rip away the atmospheres of the system's planets and instantly kill all life in the system. However, the Challenger was only interested in colonizing a planet in the system, luckily for them, one of the planets happened to be suitable for habitation. They made a short warp jump to the planet, and launched the four colony pods, carrying a total of 500 people. The pods jetted into their designated geostationary orbits, then shot an anchor down to the planet. After six short minutes, those anchors impacted and the transfer of colonists down to the surface via space elevator began. The Challenger put itself into an orbit allowing for maximum defensive coverage of the colonies, as well as an easy way to change orbits to focus on the defense of one or two.
Repair Dock A1-B Char
"Understood, hopefully you don't have any problems with our FTL technology. It folds space around the ship, in some of our species it can be somewhat sickening. Luckily, it appears our species share the right biological traits, so our space sickness pills should work fine if anyone wants them."
Fairlan walked through the docking tube onto the Starfire, and after a few minutes the gravity ring began to turn as the plasma engines warmed up. The docking port on the ship opened, allowing the Equestrian shuttle to dock.
Repair Dock A1-B, Char
Fairlan looked over at the Equestrian, such a strange creature, but somehow familiar. It didn't make sense, but he felt as if he had seen their species before. At least it wasn't the kind of familiar that makes you feel like you're about to be killed, in fact, it made him feel completely safe.
"Thank you so much, my home system is easy to find, it'll be the most isolated system in this entire sector. Forty light years from another star, the myths say that's ten times the distance from Old Terra to its closest star. Lakfakalle is the fifth planet from Kalle, my system's star. Finding it is easy, getting to the ground isn't. We can't use one of your ships, they don't have the right equipment to break through the Great Barrier. We'll need to take the Starfire, it has the correctly modulated laser to break the Great Barrier and allow us to land. Of course, you will certainly want to dock one of your own vessels to the Starfire for the journey, as its designed for bipeds and tripeds. Besides that problem, the Starfire's quarters are tiny and the beds don't have mattresses."

Starship Construction
The construction of the LIV Challenger has been completed! The original interplanetary hull has undergone extreme modifications, with the four defense platforms stabbed into the hull, creating two cone-shaped protrusions on the very front and very back of the vessel. The warp ring has been redesigned to double as an artificial gravity ring, so the bridge and crew quarters are located right next to the very device that allows the starship to travel faster than light. The central hull has become a weapons platform as well as the fuel storage, and of course the sublight propulsion systems. It is estimated that this new class of starship (Traveler-Class) is capable of defeating the entire interplanetary fleet of the LCF. However, only 125 of these vessels could ever be built unless another former Aif world is found and colonized, and operating so many starships equipped with warp drive would be completely impossible unless an entire planet was dedicated to producing fuel. As such, the Challenger and the other in construction will be the only Traveler-Class vessels produced in the foreseeable future.

LIV Challenger
The LIV Challenger has begun its shakedown cruise from Lakfakalle to Terra, then to Shuroh. All interplanetary transit will be handled by the warp drive, which will be set to half the speed of light for each jump. Afterwards, the ship will return to Lakfakalle, refuel, and sent out to deliver multiple colony pods to a habitable planet 42 light years from the Kalle System. This planet wasn't picked for habitability, simply because its the only thing in range of a ship carrying colony pods that wouldn't bankrupt the entire Federation if colonized. With any luck, it will actually be habitable.

Children of the Phoenix Contact
"You may bring military forces if you wish, but once you are close enough to Lakfakalle the defense platforms will be more than capable of destroying any threats to your people. We were recently attacked by pirates, in fact, right now we are awaiting news of the outcome of the battle. However, it is almost certain that the pirate vessel was destroyed, no craft could possibly survive colliding with a hundred antiproton streams. We look forward to meeting with you."

Definitely accepted! I love the concept!
Yep, sorry it took so long.
Lakfakalle Freighter
"I may perish with the rest of the crew here, but you will die as well. Not just you, the suicide bomber. I mean you as in the crew of your ship. Do you have no knowledge of our defense network? According to the myths, it is as ancient as the Abh themselves, forged to vigilantly protect Lakfakalle until the stars go out and the universe is torn apart atom by atom. Its more powerful than anything we've seen before. Energy shielding, antimatter weaponry, lasers, all it needs is power. Want to know something? We are the Children of Lakfakalle, and Children of Lakfakalle never give up! We will stop at nothing to stop you, no matter how much it takes!"
After he finished speaking, he fired a single shot into the soldier and made a run for it, knowing he would likely be gunned down.

Far from the fighting on the vessels, a message was broadcast into Lakfakalle orbit to give orders to the defense platforms. It was an order to fire, the first in fifty thousand years. Being self-maintained by nanobots, they were fully operational. Orange streams launched out of them, masses of antiproton particles built to fight the great starships of the ancient era. The skies of Lakfakalle were illuminated by these streams, their combined light equaling that of the very sun that the plant orbited. The streams got closer and closer to the alien ships, and along with them a message broadcast on a loop, to be sure any escape pods would pick it up.
"If we see you in our skies again, the rest of you will meet the same fate as those on this mission."

Exo-Kalle Contact
"Thank you, we are in your debt. I request a personal meeting with some of your people. Scientists, philosophers, whoever leads you. Of course, in the event that those leaders are carefully guarded and I cannot speak with them due to religious beliefs or purely practical reasons, I will not push for a meeting. Again, I thank you for your gracious assistance." He turned the camera to cover the whole bridge, showing the rest of the crew floating about. Noticing his intent, they all bowed in their respective traditional ways.
"I should probably mention that this is First Contact for us, you've likely met other species before though. Beginning spatial translation."
The crippled starship thrusted towards the Equestrian carrier using RCS thrusters, surprisingly able to dock. Fairlan had his suspicions about this species, perhaps they had been close to or maybe even a part of the great ancient empire the myths call the 'Aif'. Nobody knew what the word meant, but they were powerful enough to leave behind the great defense grid of Lakfakalle, so they must have been extremely powerful. In fact, maybe this wreck was from a ship operated by the Aif. HE shook it off for the final transmission to the alien vessel before the jump to FTL speeds.
"Docking clamps engaged, radiation shielding plates relocated to protect the bridge and emergency passenger compartment. We're ready for FTL."
He also decided to send a message to the other group, apologize for the change in plans.
"Captain Miklan here, I apologize for the sudden change, but we will be leaving with the other fleet for repairs over one of their planets. I am sending you the coordinates of our homeworld in relation to pulsars and their frequencies measured in planck time units. Pay us a visit if you wish, we'll open the shield for you."
Lakfakalle Freighter
"Oh, so you;re pirates and druglords, eh? Well, I'm sure that you are well versed int he operation of business." Said the soldier "And I'm pretty sure that it counts as bad business when you blow up your profit. Now, if you actually care about this convoy, then you obviously never learned of its cargo. We are carrying cattle and seeds to the planet Shuroh, nothing more! The only reason it is escorted is because those happen to be important to us due to the fact that Shuroh is a frozen world that is still undergoing oceanic agricultural development. Yes, oceanic. There is nothing here that can be grown or raised on land, or even in warm water. It can only be used on a world with cold water. I somehow doubt that a faction that seems to be made up primarily or entirely of one species would have any planets like that. To be honest, this entire attack has been a waste of time on your part, unless you want our crappy little freighter fleet for your own arsenal. It would be cheaper to build a new starship than refit these vessels. Of course, blowing them up will earn you no profit, targets painted on your backs, and will kill thousands. All for nothing. If that is what you want, then you will be labeled as mentally unstable and killed off for the safety of others."

Meanwhile, the whole collection of fighting ships was falling back towards Lakfakalle due to basic orbital dynamics, as the freighters had already been on their way down, waiting to reach the lowest point of their orbit to light up their engines again. Apparently unknown to the Pirates, the defense platforms of Lakfakalle would be in effective range within the hour. Their power had only been seen a few times before, but all Children of Lakfakalle knew the legends of the antiproton flame that consumed entire fleets.
Children of the Phoenix Contact
Being a bit tied up with two species speaking to him at once without any force to pull him down to the floor, Fairlan forwarded the incoming message to Lakfakalle using the Quantum Entanglement Transmitter. Normally this would be prohibited, mainly because the government wanted to make First Contact dramatic for the enjoyment of the citizens. After all, wouldn't having a starship gone for two decades appear once more above your homeworld, then send down a shuttlecraft and parade an alien down the streets be more enjoyable than getting a message from that same ship saying "Hey guys. There are aliens."?

The message was forwarded to a group specially trained for first contact, a bunch of Delphans and Boskops that were able to focus easily on the task at hand rather than the existence of Exo-Lakfakalle life. Even with the training, three of them fainted upon the news that the myths were true and two others seemed to temporarily lose their minds. The remainders, quickly identifying the second language as Greek and matching this new nation with a few lines in the myths, decided that they told the truth and opened a channel with them.
"This is the Lakfakalle Foreign Relations Center, we apologize that the one that sent the transmission you picked up is unable to speak with you at the current time, as it appears the distress call attracted a lot of friendly attention. We would be happy to form an alliance with you, the message sent from the Starfire says that their Captain is awaiting a response from one of the contacted species about a meeting here on Lakfakalle. It may be possible to initiate three-way contact here."
LIV Starfire
The Starfire sent out a message to the first fleet that appeared, while also activating its coilguns due to the fact that one of the vessels just fired a huge ball of plasma at the other fleet present. They both seemed to have translated the human languages extremely easily, perhaps indicating a similarity with their own languages. In fact, it seemed like speaking human languages was natural for them.
"Aperiens porta, fractum est gravitas generationem. Terra paulatim. Tibi gratias ago pro respondendum,"
Next, a message was sent to the other alien fleet that had responded in perfect English, while speaking, Fairlan couldn't help but feel a sense of Déjà vu.
"Thank you for responding, we too hope for peaceful relations. We require repairs, however. Is your fleet capable of providing repairs to our vessel, or perhaps bringing us to one of your own worlds? We can arrange an official meeting on our own planet with our leaders, but for now we just need repairs. Our people have almost no radiation tolerance, and we cannot make an FTL jump without the shielding that was just town off by the collision."

Piracy
The corvette assigned to protect the freighters opened fire on the alien craft with everything it had, although it was clearly incapable of taking down the ship. The convoy sent out a distress call, and five other craft from Lakfakalle's defensive complement of seven came to aid the convoy. As it was carrying cattle and seeds to Shuroh, it was an extremely import convoy that had to be protected. The new ships opened fire as well, their railgun shots streaking towards the enemy ship and in some cases puncturing its armor. On the freighter that had been boarded, marines fought back against the pirates with their assault rifles, which appeared to be surprisingly effective despite how far ahead the pirates were. One of the marines threw a grenade at the invading forces, but instead of detonating it released some sort of dust-like material that they breathed in. It was nanodust, and it quickly analyzed the brain structure and memory patterns of the aliens and them inserted itself into their ears, forming something similar to earbuds. This process allowed the nanodust to translate English to the alien language and the alien language to English. Knowing the process was done, the soldier screamed at the invaders.
"You will cease your attacks immediately! You have invaded our territory and attacked a convoy operated by the Lakfakalle Cooperative Federation! Failure to comply will result in the destruction of your ship and the interrogation/execution of your crews! Stand down immediately!"

Construction
With the attack on the convoy, the LCF has ordered new warships to be built and fitted with the Warp Drive. Instead of building entirely new craft, the LCF has moved eight defense platforms and split them between two shipyards, attaching them to already existing interplanetary craft. Due to the highly advanced energy shields on the defense platforms, the two ships will not require bulky radiation shielding plates. Two new warp rings have been commissioned, and the completion of the vessels is slated for sometime this year.
