Captain Abriel looked on in awe as the Equestrians used their magic, amazed at how similar the power was to that described in the ancient legends.

"Our myths describe beings with such power, and it was said they could even use it to bring an inanimate body to life. That power had the same name, Magic. However, they were bipedal like us, and are said to have looked just like humans. Of course, it couldn't have been them, humans are too closed-minded to have done the great things the Magic users once did."

Interestingly, the brown haired man she called Jinto took no offense to this, despite obviously being a genetic human.

"So, our language is universal?" Said Jinto "The chances of that being true are quite literally nonexistent. I mean, it's unlikely for an alien species to even be capable of speaking our language, much less already being fluent. Perhaps those religious-"

He was interrupted by the shrieking of an alarm, and the lights of the station went red. Captain Abriel ran over to a wall and hit the intercom.

"Why in the name of the goddess did you activate the alarm!?" She said. After a while, she responded to an answer nobody else heard. "Well then shut it off! They're not shooting at us, now are they? ... Yes, their claims are probably true. We just made contact with a species that using literal, actual magic in the place of hands. An interdimensional war is more probable... Repeat please." Her face took on a look of shock, and her skin went pale. "Take that joke as a serious statement then. Power up the streamer network, let's be ready."

She left the intercom, and turned to the Equestrian diplomats.

"There's a ridiculously large fleet knocking on our door, telling us to leave our homes behind because our system is going to fall under attack from extra-universal forces. And you have no hands and use actual magic. In the event that I am wrong, forget everything I am about to do."

While most people expected her to divulge secret information, Jinto promptly covered his ears.

"JINTOOOOOOOO!" Screamed the Captain at a deafening intensity. Jinto took his hands off his ears, and the Captain waited for a few moment.

"Ah. Well then..." She said, turning bright red "Either one of us is sleeping very, very well, or this is actually happening. Because neither me nor Officer Linn is the legendary hero of the Ancient Crusades, this is probably real. In case you know of the alien species that just entered the system, tell us everything you know. In the meantime, I'll try to stall them."

She once again moved to the intercom, this time hooking it up with the station's comm system.

"This is Viscountess Abriel Paryunu of the Humankind Empire Abh, my full name is Ablïarsec Néïc Dubleuscr Bœrh Parhynr Lamhirh, and I would prefer it if you referred to me as such. We are technologically capable of interstellar travel, but we are currently in the process of constructing out first starship which will be incapable of surpassing the speed of light. The evacuation of non-military personnel is impossible for the human factions as all infrastructure on the planet would collapse and it would be completely useless for whatever defensive plan you propose. The Humankind Empire Abh is capable of ordering temporary military service based on one's social rank, standard citizens can be called to duty for two months, and the Emperor or Empress is always considered on active military duty. Erm... would you be willing to discuss the subject face-to-face? Or face-to-wherever your eyes are, or face-to-wherever your non-eye sensory organs are? Or maybe face-to-faceplate?"

Imperial Capture
"I am from the Deimos Colony in the Prime universe. I had the privilege of seeing the great Terra up close." Said the Admiral, now having accepted her fate. She knew that there was no way out, even for her.

Haven City Port, Antarctic Union. 20 Days Ago
The blue glow of a plasma shield covered the port in a quarter sphere, a fleet of twenty Antarctican warships stood prepared to depart for the outside world. Only the veteran soldiers of the group had a skin color other humans would consider normal (Either a heavy tan or normal darker skin colors). The rest of them had pale white skin (Or the darker skin of their parents), having never seen the light of day in their lives. It was 0900 Hours, but the sky was dark and filled with stars. It was the day on which the sun never rises, and the city dwellers stared up at the stars through the plasma shield in awe, having never seen the sky before.

"I heard we'll have the Chairman coming with us." Said one of the veterans, speaking to an older one.

"Yeah, the guy's a city dweller though. I wouldn't expect much from him." Said the other veteran.

"Sssh, here he comes!" Exclaimed the soldier, looking down from the conning tower of the AUS Perseverance, one of the Navy's Zumwalt-Class Destroyers.

The two saw the Chairman on the dock, looking up at the sky in wonder. The other veteran laughed quietly to himself. The Chairman, obviously, didn't hear it. He was wearing extremely long formal robes, thick and white in color with gold outlines as well as two gold triangular patters on the front, connected with a single gold line. The sleeves were impractically large, hanging down far below his arms.and allowing one to see his white military uniform he was wearing underneath. He stepped onto the gangway, taking great care to not get his robes snagged on anything. After reaching the deck of the Perseverance he walked up to an intercom terminal.

"Attention all hands!" He said "This is Chairman Fergus McClain, we will depart for the North immediately! This expedition will attempt to contact outside nations, if there are any left after the inevitable world wars that have occurred since our isolation! Today, we leave Antarctica, today, we leave the cities!"

A cheer went up as the ships left dock and headed out of the plasma shield, circular holes appearing to let them through. Helicopters escorted them as well, holes also appearing for them. All in all, the force totaled 30 helicopters, 15 Zumwalt destroyers, and five resupply vessels.

Coast of South Africa, Present Day
"Chairman! Unidentified vessel, it's a speedboat sir! Orders?"

The fleet had encountered a lone speedboat off the shore of a particularly isolated area. It was obviously quite far from any Naval base, and didn't seem to be transmitting any known codes.

"I want all of our lights on it, fire a railgun round over their heads to show them we mean business."

The loud vreeeeee of a railgun charging could be heard for about thirty seconds, and then the darkness was cut by the superheated plasma from the round's sheer speed like a knife through butter. The speedboat was illuminated for a few seconds as the round sped past it, heading off into the distance until it fell into the ocean. Spotlights went on, bathing the speedboat in light. A loudspeaker amplified the Chairman's voice as he called out to the unidentified vessel, with his own ship's laser weapons pointed right at it.

"This is Chairman Fergus McClain, identify yourselves and state your allegiance!" He yelled. The destroyer was close enough that those on the speedboat could see him, he had a pale white, yet fragile looking face, and was wearing a stark white military uniform. His expression showed both curiosity and the knowledge that he was in complete control of the situation. Thinking about the stories he had been told as a child, he continued.
"Are you Americans?" He said, horribly botching the word "Americans", emphasizing the 'I" far too much and pronouncing "-cans" as if he meant the hollow cylinder of metal type.

Hey, isn't the nordic model, if you are referring to countries like Norway, not really all that socialist? Norway in particular is pretty capitalistThey have something called a 'Social Market', which has a lot of capitalist qualities. They are more capitalist than socialist, just a slightly more cuddly form which won't slit your throat and dump your body in the river like the US.

Yes, updated app. I originally had it as straight up Nordic Model, but switched it to a more regulated version. Just didn't update the economy section.
Nation Name: Antarctic Union

Territory: The Antarctic Union has claimed all of Antarctica, though cities are far apart.

Government: The Antarctic Union is run by a Council of elected representatives, with a figurehead Chairman. They get paid as much as someone in the upper middle class would be paid in today's USA.

Military: The Antarctic Union military is relatively small (With about 90,000 ground troops), however, it's size is made up for by it's technology and training. All Antarctic union troops are equipped with Neural Disruptors (AKA Electrolasers), which are about the size of a modern assault rifle and are highly configurable, with settings from stun to kill, and rapid fire to sniper fire rates. They are built to be able to hold any attachments with the correct configuration, making Neural Disruptors some of the most versatile weapons ever built. Due to this extreme versatility, only one model is made. Just two other infantry weapons are produced, they are a compact railgun rocket launcher that uses a larger payload than other rocket launchers, and an armor piercing heavy railgun for tearing apart enemy tanks and bunkers with a single shot. The AU military also operates tanks, which primarily use extreme velocity railguns. Their air forces have shielded bombers and fighters. However, they are known to stall during sustained railgun fire, and instead rely on missiles. The Antarctican Navy is composed of captured American vessels, which have been updated to have much newer laser weapons, and the larger ones are armed with spinal heavy railguns that are capable of tearing an enemy vessel in half with a single shot. However, the spinal railguns drain weapons from laser systems while charging, leaving the ship vulnerable to air attack until after the railgun fires.

Numbers:
50,000 Infantry troops
1,000 Tanks
500 Fighters
300 Bombers
150 Battleships

Neural Disruptor:

Due to it's nature, Infantry using the Neural Disruptor are often accommodated by recharging vehicles or packs.

Economy: The economy of the Antarctic Union runs on a modification of the Nordic Model, and has been extremely well stabilized internally. The above-ground wasteland is deceiving, as underneath there is a wealth of natural resources including Iron, Coal, Oil, Copper, and Uranium. Antarctica's primary industries are in R&D and general manufacturing.

History: The Antarctic Union is an offshoot of the United States of America, formed by a group of rebels who saw the USA as oppressive and warmongering. Knowing there was no chance to stage an open rebellion, they created an underground network in order to create anti-government sentiment wherever they could, especially in the Navy. After multiple years of sowing rebellious thoughts in soldiers and citizens, they gathered everyone at the largest Naval ports in the US. On September 23rd, 2021, the rebels attacked three USN ports with the support of personnel from within, and successfully took over the fleets stationed there.

They immediately sailed the vessels out of port, and when the Air Force came to respond they were easily shot down by the lasers that had been recently deployed by the Navy. They gave the order for the rebel pilots to turn on the loyal ones, and the battle ended after multiple hours in a rebel victory. Knowing that they would be unable to find international support for the rebellion, and that they would never be able to fight the USA alone, they set sail for an uninhabited part of Antarctica. Once they reached it, they found an incredibly tall wall of ice, which they latched their ships onto.

Using stolen equipment, they began to dig into the wall and all the way through the ice to the dirt below. Using parts scavenged from fifty of their ships, they began to build a city underneath that dirt and an actual dock at the wall of ice. Finding untapped natural resources while hollowing out the area to build their city, they started mining operations, securing their ability to expand in the Antarctic. By 2040, their population had expanded significantly due to underground networks set up across the world in third world nations as well as nations the Antarctic Union considered oppressive, such as the USA, Russia, and China. Those networks were disbanded by 2050, as very few people thought of hope when they heard "Hey, wanna move to that huge block of melting ice with no ozone layer?".

In 2040, the surface outposts of other nations began to be flooded by freezing water and bombarded by UV rays. Feeling obligated to save the now trapped researchers, the Antarctican Navy was dispatched to take the researches to their underground cities. This was the first time anyone outside of those informed by the underground network had encountered the Antarcticans, as they had everyone involved swear to secrecy to avoid being discovered by the USA. Obviously, they couldn't let the researchers go, so they forced the researchers to stay. Over time, they calmed down and adjusted to their new life, contributing to the research projects being funded by the government.

With a much larger population, they began to construct new cities and railways to connect them, all taking place under the surface where they didn't have to worry about radiation or flooding. Switching to become more of a nation, they instituted an official democratic government and laid down laws in the Antarctic Constitution. The economy became free, but pay and the treatment of workers became heavily regulated by the government. With this Socialist model, civilian industry began to appear and kept the Union moving forward. At this point, the USA and other nations became little more than a memory passed down to children, who never knew anything but the underground cities which they could never leave.

By 2070, they had become perhaps one of the most advanced nations on Earth technologically. They invented a plasma shield, used to surround vehicles and armies and protect them from attack. However, it consumes too much power to be used without dedicated vehicles, and when the army or vehicle it protects fire, the shield temporarily opens to allow the outgoing fire to pass through. A single well-placed shot (or a hail of badly-placed shots) could get through this hole and destroy the vehicle generating the shield. In addition, enough fire can dissipate the shield and it will open for infantry troops by design, as allowing an enemy soldier to hit the plasma was declared a war crime by the AU government (Due to the extremely excruciating death it would cause).

Also in use now are Neural Disruptors, which disrupt the target's neural system, and can stun them or kill them depending on the setting. All settings cause no pain, and it is considered the most humane weapon in existence by the Antarctic Union. However, it is completely useless against mechs and vehicles, at which point a tank, rocket launcher, or railgun must be used. They are beginning to build spacecraft, and obviously wish to expand. Despite this, they have still not yet recontacted the world outside their underground cities, and most do not even remember anything aside from the underground cities.

Other:
Flag:
Each star represents one of the original seven underground cities, the red represents the (somewhat) Socialist economy, and the blue is used with the red to show their American heritage. It is also used to represent their scientific progress, as blue is often associated with knowledge in the AU.

The AU also holds a manufactured population of AIs, which are programmed to act as normal citizens. They are not currently sentient, though they are learning AIs and can hold short conversations, though they learn slowly, and most act like a month old baby would if it could talk. The only things they do well are purchasing items and working, which is programmed. Their AI programs are, however, increasing in power.

THE BARON ONCE AGAIN RETURNS TO HIS BELOVED HOMELAND!
Unknown Planet
Having picked up a transmission, the Delphan Mental Collective had ordered a diplomat to be sent to the origin of the transmission immediately. In a purple flash a blue-skinned alien mammal with antennae appeared in the room, her eyes glowing purple for a few moments after her appearance. She held a primitive gunpowder assault rifle, and wore a gold and white uniform. There were two people in the room, apparently surprised about something. The alien being spoke to them, holding her assault rifle in a position that would allow her to raise it in a moment's notice.

"I am Kuuyi Oras of the Delphan Mental Collective, member of the Lakfakalle Cooperative Federation. A pleasure to meet you, though I very much want to be somewhere else right now, so let's make this quick. We need allies to fight off an invasion of this universe, we already have found a way to calculate the enemy's movements, now all we need are a force to counter them. You assistance would be greatly rewarded." She said, and her eyes glowed purple once more.

A video clip appeared in front of the alien who seemed to be in power, like a hologram, but somehow projected using psychic power. It showed the battle of Lakfanikolien and images of multiple Lakfakallian warships, as well as the LIC Kelsof.

"We may be a primitive nation aside from leftover Aif tech, but my people have artificially augmented our natural psychic abilities to be able to harvest the psychic power of other beings and use it ourselves. We plan to use this power to manipulate the minds of those in the invading empire, forcing them to rebel. However, their military will still be a problem in this universe. With our psychics out of commission inciting rebellion, we will need the best warriors we can find, armed with the best weapons we know of. We hope you can provide some of those warriors."

Triarians (Imperial)
"Why yes, we genetically augmented ourselves to become psychics a century ago. We come from a system called Sol, in a universe we call Prime. I have no idea how large our population is, that's kept in the central computer on Terra. The Imperial Star Navy division assigned to this universe consists of a mere million warships, with only a single developed galaxy, we don't need anything more. I do not known the numbers of the entire Imperial Star Navy, again, that information is kept on Terra. We have dominated multiple thousand biologically distinct races, they are not allowed to field any armed forces and thus no info is kept on their force limits. Industrial output data is kept on Terra. We are a Type VI on the Kardashev Scale. We are infinitely superior to your people, and have conquered far more powerful versions of the Triarian Collective than you. You will be swatted like a fly. Nobody is capable of resisting us."

The moment that the Democratic State of Mons heard that the aliens were going to send diplomats to the other two nations, they immediately sent a message refusing to allow any diplomats to land in their nation. Apparently, they were simply that arrogant. The Ismenius Camian State also refused to allow the diplomat to dock, but said that they were "Having technical difficulties" and did not want the diplomat to dock for their own safety. Although it was obvious they just didn't want them to dock because they offered to meet with the Democratic State of Mons, they still went to the trouble of coming up with an excuse for some strange reason.

The Humankind Empire Abh, however, welcomed the diplomat with open arms. They were met with a group of Abh diplomats just after they exited their spacecraft, floating in the zero-g of the docking section.
"Welcome to Ikhayasha Station." Said one of them, who was wearing a military uniform of multiple different shades of purple. Interestingly, his hair was brown instead of the common blue. "I hope you are a more inclusive species than the humans are. We have prepared a meeting room, luckily, we don't use chairs like the humans do. You'll be able to sit down just fine. Actually, you might be laying down. Or maybe you don't have words for those actions because of your biology."

"Jinto, leave this to me. I was trained for this." Said an Abh woman, dressed in a light blue uniform that was obviously meant for formal occasions. "Viscountess Abriel Paryunu, at your service. You may also refer to me as Captain Abriel. I apologize for Officer Linn's speculations. He was not trained diplomatically. As he said, we have prepared a meeting room. If you follow us, we can have a formal meeting there. I believe you will be happy to get to a place where there is gravity."

"Say, how do you even build starships? You don't have any han-"

"Jinto! First Contact grammar, please!" She quickly turned to the Equestrians "I apologize if Officer Linn's question sounded like he was ordering you to answer him, he used a figure of speech that is not supposed to be used during first contact in case it offends the diplomatic party."

Message to Sazkarjhit Authorities

Good Evening,

We currently have a nanobot swarm standing by for orders, we will order them to search for Switch immediately. However, they are not programmed or equipped for combat, so we will have to send a fleet to take him down. With any luck, they will find him quickly and without trouble. The moment he is found, the information will be transmitted to you.

May Star Fire light your path,

NASA has built a Heavy SRB factory, using up one of it's parts on it. It has also constructed three heavy liquid fuel tanks and three dual-nozzle liquid fuel engines. They have declared their intention to be the first to the Moon, and Wernher Von Braun has proposed the construction of a spacecraft in orbit of the Earth through multiple launches. They have stated that the first launch will be the drive system for the craft, the second the Habitation module, and the third the landing craft. However, since it will require a crew of multiple people, they have begun researching larger space capsules. Ideally, they want to send a crew of four, but will settle for a crew of three if it is needed to reach the Moon first.

Parts: 4 Heavy Liquid Fuel Tanks, 4 Dual-Nozzle Liquid Fuel Engines, 1 Reaction Control System,

Infrastructure: Public Launchpad, Vehicle Assembly Building, Directional Antenna,
I apologize for not posting an update today, I'm slightly overwhelmed. If Duck could do this one, it would help out a lot.
