Current So, as an American, what do I do when I need to choose between illegal immigration to Canada and dying in a civil war?

Up until today I've never had any trouble with my EUIV Japan games. Today I got stomped five times in a row before even uniting the country.

I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

Equestrian Space
Interestingly, the warship seemed unaffected by the EMP blast. It's plasma engines activated, trailing their trademark argon plasma behind them. The ship turned around, and a single message was sent to everyone else in the area.
"This vessel departs for Sol. The line must be held."

Sol System
The approaching gravity lens distortion grew in size rapidly as it sped towards the system, until it finally disappeared in a blinding flash of blue light originating from the warp radiation and particles. When the glare faded away, nearly the entire Lakfakalle warship fleet appeared. The Starfire took point, but it was barely recognizable. Being large in size due to its formerly primitive propulsion technology, the LCF had replaced the hydrogen-oxygen engines with the newer plasma drives, and used the extra space to add weapons.

They used that space well.

The Starfire now boasted a large central antiproton weapon, the Variable Pulse Lance, able to fire bursts of any width and height. It also carried eight turreted antiproton streamers, complimented by high-power shield breakers. The ship now had effective broadside capability, its coilguns having been replaced by shield breakers and antiproton burst cannons. However, the placement of the antiproton streamers differed radically from other vessels. Rather than being located in triangular pods on the fore and aft of the ship, they were set on turrets reminiscent of those used on ancient sea vessels. What's more, it had no visible warp rings, instead using projected rings.

Most other ships were either newly built ships of the latest class, or ships retrofitted to the most recent class (the Nikolien Class). This class had the usual four antiproton streamers, but also carried the same Variable Pulse Lance that the Starfire had. In addition, it had twelve shield breakers set up for broadside attack. In addition to those vessels was a transport vessel carrying some recaptured nanobots left over from the Ceramus war, having been reprogrammed to construct stations. Finally, there were three Freidsmekalre War Carriers, each with a full complement of ninety Pelia-class fighters.

A flurry of radio transmissions swept through the fleet, with each and every ship reporting a successful jump. An FTL communication was sent to the other ships in the system. A Delphan, most likely Fairlan, appeared on the screen of anyone watching the message. Instead of the usual uniform worn by LCF personnel, everyone visible was wearing black, pressurized nanofiber armor.

"Admiral Fairlan Miklan of the Imperial Star Forces reporting for the defense of Sol. All fleet warships have reported successful jumps, we are fully prepared to assist. Our construction vessel will begin work on antiproton collection facilities around the star of this system. This system is vital to the survival of all beings in this universe, and perhaps even the multiverse itself. You are not fighting for the defense of your enemies or allies, you are fighting for the defense of everything that was, is, and will be. This system cannot be lost. We will be victorious."
The flag of the star forces was displayed as the transmission ended.
Look, Wilson, you're good at writing. The problem is, you immediately quit whenever anyone says anything about you being the slightest bit OP. We simply can't function with you ragequitting every time that happens. If you could simply stand the constructive criticism, then we would be happy to let you say. The problem is, you never learn. I fully understand if these rage sessions you go through are part of something else IRL (like all of my more preachy than usual posts), but we just can't function with them. We simply have no choice.

You see, you don't need to be the most powerful by any means. I once played a nation that could be crushed in seconds, but it never was. Why? Because nobody really wanted to. They didn't see any point in attacking because the gain just wasn't worth the pain. That makes perfect sense in space. There's no reason to fight someone when you need to use spacesuits and stuff to get to them, exposing yourself completely. Blowing them up doesn't make sense either, because they're not attacking you, so why attack them? Had you focused on economic power instead of turning it into an RTS, then this would have never happened.

The Commonsense war has very little external interaction, only two other nations interferred properly, one of which is gone now. It's be like making a rp based on the Equiis Collective war, lol, its a constraint which pretty much means you are either humans, ponies or Orcs...

True, a Common Sense War RP would be pretty independent.

As for knowing the outcome, that can still be fun. In fact, we could even set it in an alternate universe, so we wouldn't know the outcome.

I actually have an interesting idea for a more personal RP relating to VotS.What if we created a personal RP in the Casual section that's about someone in that military, or a mercenary, or a pirate or anything along that lines and also use VotS as a dynamic setting for it.What I mean by that is that major events in this RP can affect relations or the story of someone's character in the more in-depth personal RP? You guys think it would work?

I really love the idea of a VotS personal level RP. Of course, we can;t have it be dynamic due to everything that's happened so far. We can, however, use it to flesh out the history of the universe. Stuff like the Reaper Invasion, Multiversal Downfall, Common Sense War, we could base a personal RP off of any one of these. In fact, we should. Anyone got an opinion?
Apologies. I guess I was overestimating the tree density. I also find myself questioning my use of radar, to be honest, I don;t know what I was thinking.
Actually, it was probably "Move faster plot! Move faster!". Correcting it now.
Sandy Shores
"Commander! Drone!"

Yuuki spun around and unloaded two pistol rounds towards the UAV, one shot hitting its mark and taking out one side's rotors. With no way to stabilize itself, the drone tumbled though the air until it finally landed on the ground, cracking its antenna in half and rendering it useless. Yuuki fired a shot directly at it, shutting it down completely. With the mobile command center now set up, she could communicate with the entire town using a quickly set up intercom system. Tapping a few buttons on her armband, she immediately set the Antarctican personnel to high alert, and activated the alarms set up all over the town.

"Security breach by unidentified UAV." She said into her armband's speaker "All personnel security status one! Disruptors on stun, fire on sight if the target is wearing Imperial armor, all other targets are to be fired upon in self-defense only! All fighter pilots scramble, infrared scanning mode. Any signatures must be reported to me and sent to the base network."

The Antarctican fighter s launched vertically, ascending using their heated-air plasma drive that made it seem almost as if they were simply defying gravity. Each one had a central body with the cockpit, two railguns, and four missile pods capable of holding five missiles each. That was where any sort of similarity with a normal aircraft ended, the Vortex-class fighters had two scythe-like prongs sticking out ahead of them. While serving no actual purpose, most psychologists believed that soldiers would be more intimidated by something that looked like it could chop them in half than a flying saucer.

As they launched, their plasma window shields activated, covering them in a blue glow. They began to search the area for any soldiers, prepared to attack if necessary.

I don't have any orbital offense platforms. I have point defense for missiles and ballistic weapons, and then railguns and missiles to shoot at incoming fighters, bombers, etc. Nothing that can get through the atmosphere.By the way, I'm tempted to have the Ceres Independence launch air strikes against the Empire of America. They do have the capability, and energy screens would keep them from getting shot down, countermeasures to help keep most missiles off its tail. And the loss of the central hub for the area's command and control would allow the riots and rebels to gain the upper hand.

To be honest, this strategy totally makes sense. Lasers, however, would definitely do some damage.

Honestly? I think the entire world would know about a war fleet landing in America. The Empire of America likely has noticed. I don't recall if they have satellites, but this is the late 21st century... You know, where you cant sneak war fleets around the coast line of a foreign country, especially one which is likely watching for invasion anyway... Any country which isn't now would be insane The ships entering their water would be enough to make the Commonwealths demands relevant anywayOf course, I am assuming you launched from ships, if not you skipped over half his empire. He would have detected your planes coming in, and if they flew from Antarctic they likely passed near my lands and just beyond that is the EoA so its not had to call it an invasion because you flew military planes into his air space. To conclude: Thanks to your planes, it would take a miracle for the imperials NOT to have found that base now, and another miracle for the Empires neighbours not to have noticed you flew planes into his country. And that's nit even considering satellites, which make both of those even more likely.

It was a few aircraft flying over an area confirmed to be rebel territory, the Commonwealth had no idea about the aircraft and the EoA obviously doesn't know because if they did, then the town would have been conquered long ago.
LEO, Antarctican Shuttle Columbia
Light glinted off the hull of the Columbia, her SABRE engines now deactivated. An object lay in the distance ahead of it, a half painted over display of flags visible. The SABRE engine flared up, moving the vessel just slightly faster towards the object. The reaction control system slowed it to docking speed, and three crewmembers exited the shuttle and connected it to the object's power systems. One of them entered the object, reactivating the computer and life support systems. The external lights of the shuttle activated, illuminating the object.

It was about half the size of an American football field, with a single solar panel truss attached to it. The thing was obviously a modular station, nothing of that side could possible have been launched. Multiple different flags adorned the modules, a few of them were lightly painted over. Interestingly, there was no orbital booster fuel left in the system. Considering the fact that it was supposed to have been deorbited decades ago, that was an anomaly. It also seemed like it had been taken apart hurriedly, as some hatches were open right out into space.

Once the preparations were complete, the shuttle fully docked with the station and the crewmembers took off their spacesuits inside. A bag was floating in what seemed to be the kitchen, full of books and decayed apples (interestingly not of the freeze dried variety). Random objects floated about the modules, as if it was a house in the middle of preparing for a vacation. Despite how much it looked like an unfinished job, there was nothing at all recognizable as a humanoid body, just a few grotesquely bloated and roasted rat corpses that were quickly disposed of.

The computers all displayed some kind of encoded message, repeating over and over again. "The infant has left the cradle" it stated. Of particular interest was the complete lack of biological experiments, all that remained of them were empty equipment racks. The crew activated the communications equipment and bounced a message off of hundreds of satellites in orbit, eventually reaching New Orleans.

"You appear to have forgotten something. I guess we'll have to take this off your hands then."
Sandy Shores
"Perfect!" Responded Yuuki "I'll ask for training to begin and some weapons to be delivered. Neural disruptors might seem strange at first, but believe me, they're probably the best choice. They've got no bullet drop, kill instantly no matter where you hit, and can be adapted with the press of a button to any situation. We can arm your troops with them, and march on Seattle with air support. In fact, we could even bring in the Navy."

She tapped a series of keys on her armband, calling in a mobile HQ and informing the AU of the situation through a short series of codes. Transport aircraft were dispatched as fast as possible, and headed for the town.
