I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

That's a big question, how does magic work?!

Magic.

True, after all a living organism couldn't have endless energy. My guys sure as hell don't and regularly use tech to keep powered up when possible. And not to mention when a sentient uses magical field I don't think they'd be able to move or go on the offensive [my guys certainly don't] so it's fair enough; I just dunno about spamming them like that. However I don't see why a shield couldn't be overloaded by spamming projectiles at it in quick succession to overwhelm the whole matrix of how much energy is fed into it. Planetary energy shields probably would only exist on certain worlds worth setting up all the infrastructure required for that on; I can't see a developing colony having one. However, concerning the Le'r all I can ask is:Worms that eat through titanium that you can send in the swarm? And I thought sentient hyper-telekinetic spheres of flesh would be pushing it which is why I gave them logistical limits.

At first I thought you were simply poking fun at the unrealistic nature of this roleplay, but it seems like you genuinely want to play as these... things. I guess you did cover everything, and I have specifically said that weird is good. So, I guess you're accepted. I love a good xenofiction, and this is prime material, even though it is completely ridiculous.

As for the argument between Duck and Darkwolf, if it wasn't mentioned before and appears reactionary, then it's gone. Instead of saying "The crippled old man killed the spy with a a full-auto phlebotium laser plasma wave motion gun." Say BEFORE the event "The crippled old man was a war veteran, carrying a full-auto phlebotium laser plasma wave motion gun as a keepsake from the war."

Fergus simply stared for what seemed like an eternity, and tears began to fall from his eyes. He took a few moment to regain his composure, then spoke in a monotone voice.

"The Council trusts me. Bring me to Earth, if I tell them that I'm one of you, then they'll stand down their forces. There is, however, the problem of your appearance. You take the form of mythical creatures from a religion with thousands of violent fanatics. We have been trying to deal with them for some time, but victory can only come from their complete extermination. As long as one exists, they will indoctrinate more. Once the treaty is signed, will you help us take them down?"

Saturn Orbit, Sol
Detecting the vessel entering the system, the 5th Sol Defense Fleet made a burn for the intruder. A few hours later, the fleet emerged right behind the vessel. A warning shot was fired from the command vessel, a stream of molten metal traveling at 90% of light speed. A message was sent as well, coming directly from the fleet's Admiral.

"This is Admiral Seòras of the United Terran Federation Fifth Fleet. You will pull into orbit of the ringed gas giant and submit to inspection. Failure to comply will be considered a declaration of allegiance to the invaders, and your vessel will be destroyed."

"So that's what you were doing with all those resources!"

The Councilman in charge of the Wings of Gliese stood on a catwalk, staring out at a vast underground hangar occupied by a three-hundred meter spacecraft. It was bristling with odd weapons, and lacked any sort of launch system. On each side of the bow the words "Försvarere av Humanity" could be seen. The ten weapons turrets protruded from all sides of the stark-white hull, each one had the appearance of a normal Naval cannon. Countless windows covered the hull, sparks visible through them as workers completed welding the internal fixtures in place. Two heavily armed guards accompanied him, holding prototype laser rifles.

"That name is in Gliesean, sir." Said a man in a lab coat bearing the seal of the Wings of Gliese. "It means 'Defender of Humanity'. It seemed appropriate."

"What are those weapons? I've never seen them."

"She is, Sir. The weapons are Near-Lightspeed Argon Plasma Enhanced Kinetic Impact Accelerators. We like to call them Shock Cannons. They fire bursts of argon plasma at speeds up to twice that of a standard railgun using highly advanced mass accelerator technology."

"And this ship has ten of them?"

"Yes, but that isn't the strongest weapon on the vessel. It is equipped with a Tachyon Bombardment Lance. I won't go into details, but it fires a beam of FTL tachyon particles siphoned from the ship's drive core. In the simulations, this thing destroyed Australia with a single shot from orbit."

"The Drive Core? Then wouldn't it fire argon plasma? Wait... you didn't..."

"Yes we did. The Försvarere av Humanity is capable of faster than light travel. The Drive Core produces tachyon particles as a by-product of negative mass/energy creation. It's cruising speed is 1000c."

"Negative energy? I thought that was limited at 10c, you know, like the messages."

"Not if you have this much of the stuff. Sir, she's not fully furnished, but we've set up temporary bunks. We're asking permission to launch her, Earth needs this ship or else we're all dead... or worse. The aliens seem to be using non-lethal weapons. Either they are having mercy, or they want test subjects and slaves. As is our policy here, we must assume the worst."

"Do you know if these weapons will work against their shields?"

"Our fighters opened a hole in their shields using a coordinated assault with all ammunition used. This ship should be able to take them straight down. Unfortunately, we have no idea how to create anything but a plasma window shield, and that would be completely useless against directed energy weapons, as well as other plasma devices. We feel like simple armor is the only choice. Please, this ship is our only chance."

"If you believe it, then the launch is authorized. Your actions will have to be publicized though, are you sure humanity is ready?"

"You'll have to be."
Why do these roleplays always die right when I decide to put a lot of work into my posts?

"Yes, I've heard voices, had dreams, and remembered names. There was one named Lahnha, you wouldn't know her. She was a citizen on my homeworld. She taught me who I was, why I was on Earth. She said I had been chosen along with nineteen others to bring salvation to the humans. None of the humans have these powers, it is unique to the twenty of us that were chosen. She never mentioned us being gifted though, she always said it was natural, she said it was a part of my soul. I have dreamed of a jungle, no deadly gases in the air, no concrete towers, it was beautiful. It was my home. As for names, the entire rank system of my squadron is based around a non-human language. Speaking of language, what kind of translation technology do you have? It's incredibly, everything you say is in English to me."
Sol
"Thank you, Captain. You have no idea how important this is to my mission. I owe you a favor."

Fergus turned to Basil, a businesslike look on his face.

"Of course, I understand." He walked off the bridge with Basil, then turned to him just after the door closed.

"I must correct you, though. I'm not a citizen of the United Terran Federation. Just a military operative, officially listed as being on loan from an unknown nation. It's kind of complicated, I'll explain it at the meeting. Oh yes, I think I owe you something."

He made an incredibly subtle flick of his fingers towards the bridge, and a pulse of blue energy went straight though the bridge door. Moaning could be heard from the inside, along with excited screams of "They're alive!".

"I can't revive anyone, but I can heal major wounds, and anger leads to bad aim. No child ever deserved to hear that their daddy wasn't coming home."

Earth
Upon seeing the aliens, all hell broke loose in the human ranks. Friends turned on each other, some ran, some just stared up at the sky as if they expected something. Even though the Iscandarians were using non-lethal weaponry, there were thousands of human casualties, all from friendly fire. Terrorist forces also entered the fight, apparently assisting the aliens while yelling fanatical and... colorful phrases. Then more terrorists came in,a nd began firing on everyone. It was complete chaos as members of all human forces just started firing at anything that moved.

United Terran Federation News Broadcast, 1900 TST
"And that concludes our special programming for the 48th anniversary of the first Terran Global Sec-Ops victory in Westboro, Massachusetts. We wish to thank General Yuuki Sora of the Terran Federation Ground Warfare Forces for her time here and service to the human species. We will now continue with our breaking news segment. A terrorist cell in Siberia was recently taken down, reports say twenty railgun shots were fired from orbit in quick succession, completely obliterating the cell. No artifacts were recovered. The data released by the Council states that it was an operation carried out by the Wings of Gliese special task force. We asked for more information on this notorious group, but the Council refused to respond."

"Thank you, Miranda. Another story that recently came to light is the malfunction of multiple subatomic particles in the central quantum communications core on Ceres. Apparently, they are connected to two other sources, despite the fact that they are produced by splitting muons, creating only one receiving particle. It is theoretically possible to create a particle that resonates on the same frequency as one in the comms core, but nobody has ever managed to even get close to such an achievement. More on this situation as it develops."

A loud siren blared, the emergency notification system. Flashing red text appeared at the bottom of the screen, and a voice read it aloud.

"Attention citizens! Unidentified vessels have entered orbit around Mars and engaged a response fleet above the planet without provocation! All civilians are ordered to report to the nearest militia outpost immediately and away orders! This is an alien attack, I repeat, this is an alien attack! All ground forces must protect the bomb shelters at all costs, airborne forces are to prepare for fighter combat! Any spacefaring vessels are ordered to retreat to Terra and follow the instructions of Star Forces officials!

The flag of the the Terran Armed Forces was displayed, with a repeating audio transmission.

"Code CN-581. Distress transmission sent. ETA 2066. Assistance has been requested."

"You're not here for the humans?" Fergus said, his voice beginning to shake. He quickly regained his composure, and threw his rifle on the ground.

"I cannot explain my actions beyond saying I reacted the best way I could with my knowledge. You say occupation, not genocide. It was a mistake. The humans didn't kill any of you, do not harm them in any way. I will, however, state that I have killed far more than a few people. I have killed hundreds of people, at very least. All of them had spouses and children. They died too, if they were a part of the targeted group. Those that were not were taken into the care of the government. I'm still scarred by the fact that I have taken parents, and sometimes even their children if they are too far gone. It's part of my job, showing pain causes doubt in my abilities, and doubt in my abilities gives Command a chance to get me and the rest of my team ejected and thrown in a mental hospital. We can't protect the humans in a mental hospital."

He picked up his pistol and threw it on the ground beside his assault rifle, then held up his arms in the air.

"You may enact whatever justice you wish. I do not know if you condone the death penalty, torture, or even corporeal punishment in general. I ask that you do whatever you believe is right. Just don't go after the humans, they had nothing to do with this, it is my mistake and my mistake alone."

I have a feeling the sentience disruptor is really nothing more than Wilson's new and improved power-gaming tool.

If not regulated. I propose restrictions, maybe it takes down the defenses of the attacker and has a long recharge time?
Martian Orbit, Sol System
Two of the fighters were immediately obliterated, the alien weaponry vaporizing them with ease. All the weapons fire pinged off the alien ships, some of it being deflected back at the fleet. Two dreadnoughts were lost, along with countless smaller vessels. Another fighter went down, the debris bouncing off the shields harmlessly. The civilian vessels fell into disarray, many of them retreating to Earth using their short-burn antimatter jump drives. As they took no time to align with a receiving station, the crew would likely regain consciousness on the other side of the Sun. Seeing that they had no chance, Fergus gave the only order he could.

"All ships, fallback to Earth! Use the short-burn jump drives, align with a receiving station if you can, if you can't, then inform an OSA patrol vessel! We'll cover the retreat! Wings of Gliese, form up!"

The squadron fell into formation behind Fergus, the three lost ships missing. Fergus tried to flush the thought from his mind, he'd never lost a single pilot before.

"Nobody kills one of us and gets away with it. I want all weapons focused on their bridge shields, I'm going to board them. The moment those shields are down, break off and retreat. I won't survive this, but neither will their Captain."

The rest silently agreed, making a run on the bridge shields. It was a bloodbath, of the 16 that went in, only 9 made it out. However, they had just barely punctured the shields, leaving a route through the bridge's windows open. Fergus thrusted toward the ship using a burst from the short-burn drives, getting the cockpit through the shields before the hole closed. He had lost the wings, but the cockpit was all he needed. It pierced the bridge windows, staying lodged as air hissed out. The ship's emergency shields reached quickly, sealing the cracks, but he didn't need the air to be vented.

Fergus picked up the assault rifle in his cockpit, and blew off the hatch. Bridge security personnel reacted quickly, but just before they could pull the trigger, Fergus pulled his. The guards were killed in an unimaginably quick sweep. Smoke rose from his heating rifle, the coilgun took a lot of energy to accelerate the projectiles. Jumping to the tactical officer's console, he shot him int he head and took cover behind the console itself. Poking his weapon up, he fired on the gunners, killing them in another sweep. His combat skills were unheard of, with the skill of a wise old man but the agility of a young athlete. He aimed his rifle at the captain of the ship, but something made him miss her head and instead hit her right foot. Instead of finishing her off, he opened his mouth on impulse as if it was an instinct.

"I don't recognize your species, what are you doing here? Do you want resources, slaves? Or are you here for us?"

He moved out into the open, shooting anyone who dared to clench a trigger. They seemed to get the message. Shooting the captain in the leg and arm, he spoke again.

"Answer me or your captain dies! You killed ten of my people, that's ten less people who can understand my thoughts, my motivations, my feelings. Ten of my only friends. Feel lucky that I don't simply detonate my fighter's antimatter fuel cell and blow this entire ship to metal chunks!"
