Writing my first IC, news article style.
Uhh, yeah. If this thing needs a fabulous title, maybe you can take this.
(didn't make the background effects though, just CTRL-C'V'd 'em out from google images and then color-to-alpha the black for not-so-obvious transparency that should pretty much help with reading the black text)
> Antimatter sublight missiles
Any type of antimatter weapons for a "weak" navy is pretty powerful, hell its powerful for a strong navy. Nor were they mentioned in your app.
Oh and any ground units with antimatter or smaller then a frigate better be damn rare.
You forget that both you and I happen to have ships that carry giant swarms of antimatter missiles. If we were going with full scientific realism, then one of your missile frigates could destroy a planet's crust.
Iron is one of the essential elements that our body needs for survival!
Oh, wow, I hadn't thought of that.
Maybe their blood is green, because they don't use hemoglobin. A simple explanation might be that tiny amounts of radium counter the iron in their bodies. Then again, I did specify cold iron as being problematic. Body-temperature iron might be fine. Possibly the tiny amounts of iron in food just isn't enough to bother them? Or maybe just "magic".
I'd just say that there simply isn't enough iron to be problem. After all, we're talking molecular size here. Lasis, being raised in a society that up until now thought that fat was unique to non-sentient species, wouldn't have the slightest idea as to how much iron is actually harmful. She's just overly concerned because getting an alien killed would look extremely bad.
But it would be really nice to see something interesting done with it, that's just the simplest way out. Not using hemoglobin seems like the most interesting to me, but it really doesn't have a major impact beyond forcing Penelope to eat specialized food without iron, which would likely take the form of the Abh equivalent of rock candy because I just have to make references to obscure events in the distant past of this roleplay.
For everyone that doesn't know, that being everyone, the Terran colonies were saved from starving by a primitive species that had managed to grow brittle crystals to produce certain nutrients (No, this definitely couldn't happen, but it's sci-fi so I can do it). These crystals grew extremely fast in every environment, and soon the entirety of humanity was subsisting on flavored water where the flavor packet contained ludicrous amounts of nutrients. The Abh just happen to eat these brittle crystals whole as a candy, because if it even gets brought up, it would be funnier to have Penelope eating a bunch of candy for all her meals instead of nutrient paste.
(As a side note, am I right to assume that this:
"Long trails of it appeared momentarily in real space, lighting up the void with faint translucent rainbows, like a soap bubble."
Means that the event is highly visible to the galaxy? Considering how large the Path would appear in realspace, I guessed it would , but I want to confirm that before having the Abh decide it's a sign from the gods or anything.)
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
NOT MY HYPER ADVANCED CHINESE EMPIRE THAT HAD WW2 TECH IN 1492!
I don't think that quite follows the rule about being serious...
This'll be a placeholder for china, japan, Korea peninsula and a few minor areas. The empire is coming..
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
NOT MY HYPER ADVANCED CHINESE EMPIRE THAT HAD WW2 TECH IN 1492!
Nor would I allow it because same level of technological development also means that there is not WW2-era tech in 1492.
joke

noun
1.
a thing that someone says to cause amusement or laughter, especially a story with a funny punchline.
"she was in a mood to tell jokes"
Yeah, there's no cutoff point centered around time or post number, its all in how people see you. If the majority thinks of you as new, then you're new.
Aaron you gotta love the spaceship.
It go
Right. No sound in space.
But hey look at the aliens aren't they so cool?
Though yes, sci-fi is a pretty common genre in NRP. Not sure if it is dominant dominant since other genres show up pretty frequently.
Oh Jesus Christ does NRP love sci-fi. The largest NRP in terms of IC posts was Void of the Stars at 751 IC posts, followed closely by Void of the Stars II: Return to the Stars, then comes From Stardust, To Stardust (If I'm not wrong, that is). All of these are sci-fi, and all of them are in the same series of roleplays.
Yep. Three biggest NRPs in terms of IC posts are sci-fi. I see that as pretty damn dominant.
Everyone, please, I think we're missing the most troubling issue coming to light in this thread
>KillAllKebab
we've got a /pol/tier shithead running around here. It might fall through the cracks if all it can manage to post is variations of "kek", "goyim", and (maybe) "cuck", but I can't see it lasting long with that username.
/pol/ doesn't actually have any brain matter contained in anyone who frequents it. Just ignore the thing and it'll go away.
10/10 Its a gif and gifs are gods. All hail gifs.
And you don't, they were always this bad. We're all just here because that number underneath our avatar gets higher when we click the post reply button and high numbers are good.
I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?
EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.
