Well, I spend 99% of my time in Freeform Sci-Fi NRPs. So I'm definitely the second one, which doesn't exactly translate well when I write outside of NRP.

I demand that they join the UN, then use my newfound political power as the man who made first contact and also presumably the Secretary General since I was ALLOWED to make contact to turn the UN into a single political entity. Humanity now technically controls a galactic empire.
