Up until today I've never had any trouble with my EUIV Japan games. Today I got stomped five times in a row before even uniting the country.

Bio

I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

In other news, I will be visiting the national science expo in D.C, and I may or may not have internet access. If I do, I will post as much as possible.
They don't see it like that, the Seeders are believed to be a tiny nation, and the AIF of course controls multiple galaxies. They don't see any threat.
Peace Talks
Fergus jumped after hearing that the ship was falling, and sent a transmission to all the humans on the planet using his neural transmitter. As many tractor beams as possible were locked onto the ship, pushing it upwards. Ships in orbit tried to pull it back into space as well, and droves of atmospheric transport craft flocked to the underside of the massive ship. Their negative mass floats pushed up against the behemoth, trying to slow it down before hitting the shield wall. But it was no use, and the ship continued to careen downwards. People jumped out of the transports trying to slow it down, passing through the shield wall with their own tuned personal shields. The ships continued to hold the flagship up, and it began to slow down. Of course, due to the properties of the negative mass floats, the slower it went the less quickly it slowed down. It finally impacted the shield barrier, crushing the transport craft underneath it and breaching the hull in multiple places. At that point, the ship began to slowly move upwards due to the tractor beams, until it came to rest just under the clouds. The tractor beams kept on it, as repair drones were launched to patch up the hull.

"That god for that shield wall, if it hadn't been there we'd all be dead!" Exclaimed the Empress
"I have confirmation." Said both Fergus, Dmitri, and Emily all together, creating an almost disturbing group of voices. "Emergency craft are being dispatched, and Abh marines are boarding the vessel to provide protection for its crew. Disaster averted, the inhabitants of this planet want us to continue with the talks and allow them to deal with the ship."
Emily spoke individually after the message "By religious tolerance we mean you have to allow others to believe what they want to. Basically, it makes it illegal to convert any individual through underhanded means such as brainwashing or mind control. And of course, no wars over beliefs. You can still hate other beliefs with extreme passion, but you cannot act on that passion unless those who share that belief act on their passion first. Also, you're entirely right about the origins of most religions, but some seem to have stemmed from actual events. Most religions in modern nations that are not theocracies seem to have just survived because of the fanatic believers of them, or because of extra-dimensional beings."
Well, you're not being scary enough. The AIF is more than capable of fending off what they believe to be the Seeders, and so far they seem like a small nuisance.
Universes that allow habitation should be extremely rare, and only one should be readily available. That way we can avoid our own species surpassing the gods that created them for now.

Also, sorry for shorter IC post. Not feeling my best today.
Peace Talks
"It wasn't just us, all the Federation species helped make this peace a reality. Without any one of us, the whole thing would have never happened. The Dolphins chose the perfect planet, the Abh insisted that we be diplomatic abut it, and us humans... I suppose without us the Abh wouldn't exist and the Dolphins would be stuck on Terra." Said Fergus "I have always believed that those different from us can teach us better than any of our own, and perhaps we have reached the point where we can teach a single lesson: Combining differences can create unparalleled strength." The Dolphin Leading One and Abh Empress nodded, while the humans transmitted a burst of energy between their neural transmitters.
"The Allied Interstellar Federation will abide by such a law, and we agree that it is needed." Said Emily. After listening to the proposals put forth, she responded. "Eugenics without killing is perfectly acceptable to us, so long as those sterilized are permitted to adopt. For some reason, most people feel the need to have a child. I agree with the Triarian statements on slavery fully. The Federation would like to propose that religious tolerance be enforced as well, and that warfare over religious beliefs be prohibited."
While all this was happening, Fergus heard a voice in his head. Similar to the neural transmitter, but just slightly different.
Hang in there, we're almost ready

Hach Evacuation
Shocked, the Dolphin quickly began to move up and down, creating ripples to appear on the interface board. A message was sent out from the Dolphin ship, reaching all the other ships of the Federation. Audio clips could be heard outside the tank.
"Are you sure? Not teleportation?"
The Dolphin made more movements, and there was a longer delay.
"That's not technology, do exactly as they say. There should be committee for this stuff."
The Dolphin made a final series of movements, shorter than all the others. The response couldn't be heard, but the Dolphin soon spoke through the translator.
"The fleet is on its way... um... would asking which god you are be considered offensive?"
Peace Talks
Emily spoke, apparent having been chosen as the main negotiator for the Federation.
"These are Peace Talks, you know, where we try to resolve things peacefully? As in, not by yelling at each other about how superior you are? Look, the Federation does not find the actions of the Makudan in any way acceptable. However, we are simply taking this chance to stop a war for the sake of intergalactic safety and help thousands of innocent species. If we couldn't do either of those we would watch the fireworks and then turn your former colonies into monuments about how horrific war is! For the Makudan, we hope to make it possible for you to cease your unprovoked attacks on other species in the name of expansion and instead find a way for you to expand peacefully. As for the Equiis Pact, we're trying to prevent you from attacking the Makudan for the sake of having a minimal amount of deaths. So stay civil and stop threatening each other!"

In the background, Fergus and Dmitri exchanged a surprised look at each other when the other diplomats mentioned the size of their empires. They began to whisper to each other, beginning with a comment from Fergus.
"Did they just say 20 million?"
"Yeah, and we thought we were the smaller nation here."
"Should we tell them?"
"No, let them think they're top dog. If we have to fight them then we'll want to surprise them. If they don't suspect our huge fleets then they will not be ready for them."

Message to the Triarian Collective
A communication ship has arrived near a Triarian planet, the ship is covered in micrometeorite impacts and scanners show signs of drive system residue. It is clear that the vessel has had a long journey. The ship transmits a message to the Triarian planet, and it appears to be a constantly updating consciousness clone of Fergus McClain. Whatever the message, great care had been taken to send it.
"Greetings, first of all, you have permission to partake in peace talks. Second, I believe your nation wished to speak about a second-generation Draconian you found on an escaping vessel? Sorry for the wait, it's just that the existence of remaining Draconians in Federation space is highly confidential. I wish to begin this discussion by saying how sorry I am for the evils the Draconian Empire committed during the war, but this last Draconian isn't like the others. He was never exposed to the original Draconian culture by Federation personnel, and all interaction he ever had with other Draconians was closely monitored. He had no family to hide him away and teach him of the old ways, and we observed him every second of the day. He has never even been involved in violence aside from his escape from Draco and Colony 257, both times he didn't harm anyone himself."

Project Yuanon
Project Leader [REDACTED], Lab 21
"We have mapped the universe known as 'Fath' by the Abh. Every Yuanon in our universe that is an open gateway seems to correspond to one in Fath. We have begun to activate other Yuanon in our space, and each one seems to create a ring of others in surrounding systems. Fath also appears to be a compressed version of our own universe, and the speed of light seems to be much higher. Our warp drive should work there as well, thus allowing extremely fast travel between systems with an activated Yuanon in them (Named 'Sord Gulark' by the Abh). Being in another universe, this method of travel would be untraceable."
Seeder Threat
The citizens began destroyed anything they could get their hands on, and all the fuel depots on the planet exploded with extreme force, each one destroying an area the size of West Virginia. The troops stationed on the planet took up arms against everything that landed. Missiles were launched down onto the planet by the orbiting ships, destroying as much as they could. Desperate measures have been taken to build up defenses against the Seeders, with every shipyard producing as many ships as physically possible and clones being made to crew them. The training of tractatori has also been put into overdrive, now with a focus on combat applications of their powers. All Federation ships have prepared to jump to other planets that might be attacked, and the AIF has declared a state of war on the scale of planetary destruction.

Lance Empire Contact
"Thank you. We will contact Mars and have them send a diplomatic team. Hopefully we can scrape up a few people, most of them are out trying to improve relations with the Equiis Pact and keep them and the Makudan from destroying each other. Oh yes, you will like the new contact that just entered this system, your two nations share an extremely similar social structure."

New Contact
A Federation starship has come across a species traversing space is a huge ark, the leader of the species has said that they left their homeworld to escape another species with much greater physical strength. The new species shows many similarities to humanity, but there is significantly less racial diversity, as all of them have dark skin. Another strange trait is that their brains have much larger than the normal human's, giving them a strange resemblance to the "greys" of old human fiction. The AIF has offered to allow them membership and allow them to live on Federation planets, the idea is currently being debated.

Peace Talks
The inhabitants of Hépíng jiějué went about their daily duties, mainly the production of shield systems. While they were pacifists, they needed some way to defend themselves, and thus the incredibly thick planetary shield was constantly being added to. However, as holes in the shield appeared they stopped their work and stared up at it. The Equiis Pact and Makudan ships were arriving, being let through the shield by the orbital shield station. The three ships were brought in to land by the tractor beam emitters at the spaceport, and their crews were met by Dmitri Saveli, the Abh Empress, the Dolphin 'Leading One' (in a robotic avatar, of course), along with Fergus and Emily.
"Welcome to the planet of Hépíng jiějué." Began Emily "It is a great honor for this planet to house the negotiations between your two empires. I hope we can find a peaceful resolution to your conflict."
The Abh Empress then spoke. "It should be noted that acts of violence are prohibited on this planet, so please do not start fighting. It would result in a rather unpleasant situation."
Lance Enpire Contact
"Oh, you were the first wave... there's something you should know."
The human stepped closer to the mic, and took a deep breath to relieve the stress.
"There was a war a decade after you left, we called it the Common Sense War. The hundreds of religions began to fight among each other. Initially it was just riots that the police could put down, but then one of the Christian extremist factions got their hands on a nuclear missile and destroyed an entire city. Then the Alliance just broke apart, barracks on Earth became battlegrounds as the members of different religions began attacking their former friends, and in some cases family. The war ended with the destruction of Gliese 581g, and everyone realized what they had done. A doctrine was created, it stated that humans were an inferior species and all beliefs were equal. Recently, that doctrine fell apart and another war started, the Doctrinal Conflict. It too ended with horrific destruction, but this time it was an entire star system. How peace was brought to the factions is highly classified info only the Council and Admirals are privy too, and then only if they get their access approved. Another doctrine was created by the same name as the last, the Common Sense Doctrine. It stated that humans could never be redeemed for the evils they had taken part in, and religions cannot have any sort of leader and must put into their religious texts lines that that promote equality. So far, it seems to be working just fine. Due to your absence, the doctrine does not apply to you. Actually... there's... sorry, I just can't-"
"It's okay, I'll say it" Said the Abh, and the swoosh of a door could be heard as the human left the bridge. "Earth was destroyed by a hostile species. Mars is the new homeworld for us Terrans."

Message to the Makudan and Equiis Pact
"The Allied Interstellar Federation wishes to invite the Makudan and Equiis Pact to send diplomats to the planet Hépíng jiějué for peace talks. It is an old colony of ours that has served as the location of peace talks throughout Terran history, and it is thus considered the most neutral place in all of the Federation. I must tell you that no weapons are allowed on the planet, and military uniforms are considered rude to wear in public places there. Should you choose to accept, Dmitri Saveli will be there to mediate."

Seeder Threat
AIF space has been cleared of the Seeder invasion fleets, but orders have come in to build excessive defenses in the event of another attack. Among these new defenses will be Orbital Antiparticle Stream Cannon (OASC) emplacements. These will essentially be huge orbital particle accelerators placed around stars that produce antimatter using captured solar material. Once an enemy fleet enters the system, they will fire the antimatter using the accelerator, creating a stream of antimatter headed towards the target at relativistic speeds. Construction ships have already been sent to begin construction of these platforms.

ATS Frybar, Transport Assignment
Plumes of hot plasma rocketed out of the ship's drive systems as it reached the halfway point, beginning the month long slowdown burn. Normally a warp pulse would be employed for such a routine interplanetary mission, but the properties of the cargo being carried were unknown and a warp pulse might destabilize it. Therefore, subwarp propulsion was being used for the transport between Europa and Mars. However, ten minutes into the burn the Yuanon being carried suddenly changed somehow. It turned into a beautiful cloud of blue light that engulfed a thousand kilometers. The bridge lost all communications with the cargo bay as the ship entered the other universe theorized to exist and provide the Yuanon it's power. The ship's shields were brought up, and inspection drones were launched within the bubble to asses the damage. The ship had been pulled into another universe, but this universe was nothing like the one they knew. There was simply nothing there that the scanners could detect, not even radiation. One of the inspection drones hit the shield on it's way to the cargo bay, identifying that it was unprotected. it took a picture of the damage, and the crew was shocked by it.

The cargo bay was no longer three-dimensional, it was completely and entirely flat. Not like a piece of paper, it was truly two-dimensional. There had been ten people working in it at the time, and whatever death they had could not have been pleasant. The shield was the only thing keeping the ship together, apparently cutting it off from the rest of the alien universe. The Yuanon was off to the left of the ship, and it re-entered it in an attempt to get home. It was expelled fifty kilometers to the right of where the accident occurred, right into the Jupiter-Mars civilian Krasnikov tube. The cargo bay just ceased to exist the exact moment it entered the 'normal' universe, and the fore and aft sections rocketed through the tube and were expelled in a highly elliptical orbit above Mars. The aft section fired multiple towing cables at the fore section, allowing it to pull it towards the target space station. Once an interview with the crew had been completed, international news channels operated by Federation-based networks got a bit of he story. The following is a section of that broadcast.

"A high-security Abh transport was broken in half during a subwarp transport mission in the Sol system! The ship was carrying sensitive research data and objects from Europa to Mars, and one of the sensitive objects caused some sort of anomaly to appear inside the starship. The crew claims that they were transported to an alien universe, what's more, they claim that universe only had two dimensions! They even have a name for this strange universe: Fath, which translates to Plane Space. All the info that has been released about the object that caused all this is that it has been named a 'Yuanon', and is a fourth neutrino 'flavor'. The ten closest inhabited systems to Sol have sent reports stating that clouds of light similar to the one produced by this 'Yuanon' have appeared in their systems as well, apparently having laid dormant for billions of years. Modern shielding technology seems to create a 'space-time bubble' in Plane Space, allowing ships to travel through it unharmed. New updates as situation develops."
Guess I'll have to get working on that inter-universal drive and holing up inside my own space then!
