Current So, as an American, what do I do when I need to choose between illegal immigration to Canada and dying in a civil war?

Up until today I've never had any trouble with my EUIV Japan games. Today I got stomped five times in a row before even uniting the country.

Bio

I'm a weeaboo communist. Are you surprised?

EDIT: You probably are now, but I'm not going to tell you why you wouldn't have been like two years ago. You get to agonize over that yourself.

Adam Agata's Office
"Yeah, we've known you're a spy for the last six months or so. The Boskops figured it out, but holy shit we didn't have any idea that there was Equestrian infighting! We didn't even think it was possible, we always thought the Equestrians had some kind of crazy gene or biased education system or... something that made a differing opinion in a way major enough to cause a civil war impossible! This is not good, the destructive forces the Equestrians can unleashed upon others, released upon themselves... it would be worse than the Common Sense War. We have to stop this! We have to take a side, negotiate peace, inject them all with nanobots and mind control them, something! There has to be a way! Tell me everything you know about this conflict, what Princesses support which ideologies, who has the most power, how likely it is they are willing to compromise, the whole deal!" Fergus suddenly stopped speaking, and his eyes teared up. He started breathing heavily, and his medical nanobots were apparently completely unable to compensate.
"I apologize, Mr. Agata, I have to... I have to go." He said hurriedly, dashing out the door as fast as his shaking legs could carry him. The moment he got outside, he pulled what would seem like a nasal spray at first glance and shoved it up his nose, pressing the button on it gently with his thumb to release the medication. His breathing didn't return to normal, but he was no longer tormented by the visions he had seen when it started. It was a memory that had only recently returned, the perspectives of ten billion people in his mind, each crying out for focus. But there was no focus on them, only on a single perspective. It was from the bridge of a human-designed starship during the Common Sense War, looking out over the rolling green plains of Gliese 581g. Every time it came back to him, he cried out in his mind Do not fire! Spare them! but the memory was always the same, a strange yet familiar voice ordering the launch of the nukes, and then the other perspectives disappeared with flashes of light, ten billion people, dead.
"Shuroh... have to go to Shuroh. Have to go home."

Dmitri made a discreet hand motion, and nanobots in the air entered the Equestrian diplomat, but only to deliver a message.
"They do not attack you for having differing beliefs, they attack you for having similar beliefs. I wish it didn't have to come to this, but there is no other way. This will sound like a horrible thing to do, but you have to invade the minds of your citizens and collect their memories. I refuse to allow deaths in this war."
In the half second it took to deliver the message, Dmitri had alwaready turned to the Draconian.
"I accept your offer, if that theory is true, then the wisdom of your people is beyond that of any other. We would be stupid to not try to cultivate good relations with you."

Nexen Attacks
Human words have easily fended off the current attack attempts due to their heavy defenses, and the other Federation races have come to their aid. However, nobody expects much out of Nexen and expects their attacks to end soon. They have no idea of the scale of the civil war at this point, and think nothing more than small skirmishes have come out of it. The AIF is completely clueless.

Dmitri chuckled a bit, and turned to the Supreme.
"Oh, all the time. It's so common that half of our comedy programs are based entirely off intergalactic politics and how nobody ever agrees. Admiral McClain says its almost as bad as 21st century Terra, may we never forget that world. Its not pretty, but its reality, and the Federation can't do anything to change it."

The Empress spoke, still floating above the ground.
"You will get no help from the Abh Empire, and I doubt the Human Cooperative will help either. The Boskops and Dolphins will follow the humans, and the Ethra'Hirel the Boskops. The Federation will almost certainly not provide any assistance to the Equiis Pact in this war, in fact, the Abh Empire may provide indirect support to the Triarian Collective after what has been brought to our attention! My personal conclusion is that you have finally degraded like so many good societies in Terragen past. The Soviet Union and its fall to tyrrany, America and its degeneration into a dystopia with government observation blimps above every city, even Canada fell to a dictatorial government. It is sad, you were so pure, so noble once. What has become of you? What has become of the noble Equestrians the humans spoke of when the first Abh emerged from the artificial wombs? Where is the peace and the harmony?"

Makudan Civil War
The Federation has announced that they oppose Nexen, for obvious reasons. However, they do not know enough about the other two factions to make a judgement on who to support, if anyone at all. To remedy this, they have sent an identical message to both Elrus and Rasen.
"Please state your goals and beliefs, you could gain the support of the Allied Interstellar Federation if they are compatible with ours. Be warned that this comes with much risk, do not respond if you believe that it would harm you to do so."

Dmitri and the Boskop representative were shocked by the Equestrian diplomat saying that it wasn't their fault if harm came upon their member nation when they joined. They tried as best the could to hide it, but the Empress' eyes grew wide and her mouth dropped open slightly. Her hands hung limp for a moment, then began to clench unconsciously. Her brow furrowed, her teeth clenched, and she began to rise as more negative mass was transferred from storage to her boots. Eventually, she was about two feet off the ground, and if any Sazkarjhit present had seen the attack on Sazkar, it was a look that they knew all too well.
"I do hope." She said through her clenched teeth, in an obviously aggressive tone "That you were apologizing for any harm caused to your member nations when they joined, and did not just say that you don't even care about them. In our grammatical structure, when somebody says 'If they did not look at what harm it could bring them, then we are not responsible', it usually means that they only care about themselves."

With basically all the other diplomats incapacitated by anger, the Ethra'Hirel representative spoke to the Triarians, quiet enough so that only they could hear it.
"You have had more dealings with the Equestrians, is that kind of... miscommunication common? Or could they have actually meant that? Surely they didn't, or is that kind of thing accepted outside of the Federation?" Realizing how many questions he had just asked, the diplomat wuickly continued. "Sorry, but my people were isolated for thousands of years, and we have not integrated into the galactic community as well as the Boskops."
I'm going to assume that the Hach didn't give the Boskops and Ethra'Hirel gifts, but if they did, let me know so I can have them react in a later post.
The poetry...
I don't think there are words in the english language that describe how good it is.

The Empress smiled in a humorous way, finding the actions of the Triarians funny.
Hah! They are too blind to grasp how important seeing through the eyes of one's enemy is, they had better learn if they want to accomplish their ultimate goal.
"I wish to commend the Sazkarjhit, for being able to understand what the Empress said, few others do. However, we honestly must concur with the Collective on the Pact." Said Dmitri "The Equiis Pact does seem Equestrian-centric. Their treaty is also incredibly flawed, and do not think the Federation has ignored that. We have contingency plan after contingency plan for any relations breakdown between us and the Equiis Pact, as the saying goes, 'Better safe than sorry'. As for the ground warfare only proposition, we disagree. The law would only increase casualties, as it is much easier to get someone to surrender if you've taken out their defenses and have a way to annihilate their atmosphere." He nodded to the Empress, who then spoke.
"Since the Collective appears to only want to attack the Equiis Pact due to them being Equestrian-centric and imperialist, then perhaps we could solve the problem the Collective has pointed out instead of outright bringing down the Pact. The Pact could introduce equality laws, perhaps a renaming as well, and this could be seen by Triarian observers. The Federation would be willing to ensure fully that the reforms are in place, and prevent any violence."
Lakfakalle
"Pleasing." Said the Empress "I would like to thank everyone here for convening to attempt to find a peaceful solution to the conflict. If all are willing to attempt peace, then there is no need for war among the stars. Official negotiations can now begin, and remember, if you can see through the eyes of your current enemies, then you will love them. If everyone can do this, there will be no battles fought due to this conflict."

Dmitri went over to the Supreme group, and he bowed when he reached them.
"I am President Dmitri Saveli, I speak for the entire Federation and the human species. It is an honor to have you on one of our planets, what is it that you wish to discuss?"
Sorry for the inactivity, I spent two days making an app for an entirely different roleplay when the territory I claimed was taken by someone else. I'll get a post up today or tomorrow.
Well, if I can't claim multiple nations then I can't really write out a good history, because I'm bad with histories and they take me way too long. So I guess I won't be joining this.
Also, I could have sworn I deleted Germany, Poland, and the others from that list. Sorry about that.
App deleted because it was a pile of crap.
