Bumping because I want more people to join. uwu
Kiara pulled the string on her crossbow back and quickly loaded another bolt. She took aim at one of the creatures, but hesitated. A bitter sweet feeling set in all of the sudden. Focus, she thought to herself as she stepped back. You can't feel something for these things. When she made a move to take aim again, the diognaa she had set her sights on was gone. She huffed in frustration and looked around for a new target.
Unlike her partner, Lillah scowled at the morning light. Another sleepless night, she thought in irritation. Now would have been a good time to take one of her antidepressants, but she didn't want to draw attention to her problem. So she just picked up her bag and bat and grimaced as she followed Bane. When he would stop to check on her, she would just frown at him and motion for him to keep going, sometimes insisting, "I'm fine--let's go." Worried about Steph, she didn't want to be the one slowing them down. Still, it was taking a toll on her, especially since she was running on low fuel, and cool sweat beaded down her cheek.

When they came upon the building, she stood behind him as he crouched. She was afraid if she sat down now, she wouldn't find the strength--physically nor mentally--to stand again. "Alright, let's do it, then. You're basically an army dude and I can defend myself--we shouldn't have a problem," she said. "Not with just scoping the place out, anyway."
Kiara felt her cheeks warm in embarrassment as she looked to Samuel, pouting a bit. She opened her mouth to protest, but he addressed Lin instead. Then they were under attack. "Oh, ewh," she muttered as she watched them for a moment. Then she released the bolt she had read and grinned a bit when it went through a digonaa's head with a satisfying thump. As she was pulling the string back, though, another one came at her and she found herself having to drop the bow in exchange for a knife to stick it in the creature's head.
Kiara scowled at her older brother who returned the attitude she gave him. "Well I have a good feeling about tonight, so don't go and ruin my fun," she retorted vaguely. It's more than the environment--why am I so anxious tonight? she thought, scowling at the ground for a moment.
Lillah blinked as he tore his shirt and watched as he bound his arm. Then she winced, but gritted her teeth to keep from squeaking or something lame like that as he used the rest on her leg. He seemed to know what he was doing well enough. Between the way he carried her and the way he carried himself--always alert with straight shoulders... "Sniper School," she repeated, nodding a bit. "That'd make sense."

She drew in a breath before slowly getting up and hesitantly putting weight on her injured leg only to immediately stop. She sighed in frustration and tried again, and managed to stand there, shifting her weight. "I should be fine," she said, limping a few painful steps. "It'll get better the more I use it...And thanks." She looked to him, nodding a bit; she wasn't the most expressive of people, but she made a point to try to express her gratitude when she meant it.
I think it's still dark. Probably really early morning because Lillah and Steph were just going to sleep for the night before all the commotion. And no more than a couple hours could have passed with all this.
Kiara followed her siblings, her bow ready as her eyes flickered about. At Lin's question--though addressed to Samuel--she answered quietly. "Digonaas. But you would've known that if you were on time," she stated coolly.
Any development?
Steph doesn't even seem worried about Lillah
