Klaus eyed Theodora as she spoke for Mira. He was quiet as she talked, the book still open in front of him even though he wasn't reading. When she offered the whiskey again, he shook his head. "No," he repeated though at least gave explanation this time around. "The taste isn't appealing and I can only get the buzz through blood. Though if you're offering your own..." He let the words trail off and he winked at her, leaving it up in the air whether or not he really would feed off another vampire. Then, abruptly, he sat up and took his feet off the table to set the book aside, his perpetual smirk fading as he looked to her. "Let me assure you of something, love: Mira isn't embarrassed of you. She understands you're still learning. She wasn't much different under my watch than you are under hers, quite frankly."

"Adelisa, they can handle their own problems and Praetor can handle Lucian. We're leaving--now," she hissed angrily, pulling the other's arm via telekinesis and pulling her back, making a point to step forward and put herself between Adelisa and the Blackmoores.

As Praetor approached Lucian, Mira took it as her cue to leave seeing that Theodora was leaving and Adelisa was arriving. She trusted Praetor to handle Lucian and was confident he could handle himself if he had to--not that she wanted him to have to. "Adelisa, let's go. I'm aware of the problems but there were some...issues here, as well." She guided the younger vampire away with a hand on her shoulder as they walked for the exit. She let herself glance back at the Blackmoores with a frown, mostly for safety. "Tell me about the rogues as we walk," she prompted the other vampire as they stepped out into the night.

"Mira this, Mira that," Klaus chuckled. "I'm the one who turned her, you know. She isn't the boss of me like she is of the rest of you." He flipped a page, allowing her to down more whiskey in peace. Though she seemed interested in talking to him, so he obliged. "It is a terrible book. To be expected when written by a Roman brute," he agreed, nose wrinkling at even his mention of Praetor. "And why would she have locked you in the basement?" he asked instead of answering her own question.

Klaus sat in the kitchen, feet up on the table as he flipped through Dracula that had been left in Mira's office. He clearly wanted to be caught and scolded, but only one of the younger ones walked in and went straight for the alcohol. She told him that the others would be home shortly and his eyebrows raised for a moment and he sighed, "Wonderful." When he was offered a drink, he looked at the woman as she downed two full glasses. He stared at her for a moment, frowning. Then, when he felt like he made her wait long enough, simply said, "No," and seemed to turned his attention back on the book. However, he followed up shortly after with, "And what's your name, love?" despite his nose in the book.

So much was happening at once and Mira found her attention split between her own family and the Blackmoores. Embarrassment and anger boiled under her cold surface as her own started a fight with the Blackmoores. However, fear for them was also felt and probably what was seen flickering across her face. At Theodora's mention of Klaus, however, she found herself managing to relax a little. She could use some mentoring from her sire, dealing with all this. And then the rogues--she was just glad to have a reason to leave--

Theodora tried to attack Alistair, who was promptly defended by his family. The scuffle lead to Praetor drawing his blade and Alistair doing the same. She couldn't speak for the Blackmoores, so she snapped at her own, "Theodora, drop it. We're leaving. Now. Praetor, for the love of God, put it away. I will not have blood drawn here--especially for mortals to see." Her voice lowered to a hiss toward the end, her gaze flickering about worriedly. Her eyes settled on Emilia with her blades, hoping she would allow Theodora to go without injury.

She knew her family was at fault here--therefore she was at fault. But it'd be no good to scold them now. They had to leave.
