It can just straight up be laziness: "I don't want to have to read all that." I'm guilty of this sometimes. Though, I agree, it's also the fear of "Shit, what if I can't write that much to match?" And I mean, regardless, it depends on the RP and the people and there are a lot of factors here to consider. Basically, long intros are sometimes better and shorter intros are sometimes better. Just gotta take it case by case, I think.

Full Name: Jasmine Grace Banks Jasmine references green (and I mean Banks basically means money which is green too amiright). Nickname: Is commonly referred to by just her last name. Gender: Female Age: 21 Birthday: December 12 Astrological Sign: Sagittarius Color: Green Species: Lynx Faunus Nationality: American Animalistic Traits: Her nails can extend into claws for particularly dangerous hand-to-hand combat and her green eyes flash in the light. She has little fangs (that I want just because I think they’d look cute but they serve like no purpose IC , lol.) Then the typical traits for faunus: good eyesight in the dark, heightened senses, etc. She also finds herself shaving more often than human or witch women. Aura Color: Orange-gold Soul Appearance: In color, it’s a mixture of green and gold. There are lynx ears coming off the top of the soul. Class: Weapon Weapon: Primary form is a glaive, decorated in jade and gold. The blade curves sharply, though not too terribly for a typical polearm. The other end of the pole is pointed into a spear for extra danger. Her secondary form is a sniper rifle, powered by aura and can be enhanced with dust for particularly difficult Grimm. Partner: Zarbaha, her Meister. Separate, these two can be pretty intense, but together they're straight up intimidating. Potential bullies, to be honest. They've been partners for a few years already and have grown very close as friends. They're almost always together, which probably isn't atypical for Weapon/Mesiter pairs, and they're always watching out for one another. (I need to add this to Zar's but I don't feel like dealing with the formatting quite yet, lol.) Small Biography: Becoming a weapon—literally and figuratively—was essentially decided for Jasmine. Her siblings all fight Grimm, her parents met at an academy to collect demon souls. Granted, Jasmine has bragging rights: she’s the first of the family to be accepted to the prestigious Vitus academy. Personality: With a family like hers, Jasmine is driven to succeed. She knows where she wants to go in life and she knows how to get the resources to get there. However, she is a weapon and therefore stuck in the “subordinate” role, so she has a bit of rebellious streak as well. She doesn’t necessarily avoid confrontation, but she prefers people to get along and will speak up if she’s uncomfortable. Overall, though, she can be the life of the party and loves to live, laugh, and boast about how much better she is compared to you. Weakness(es)/Fears: Difficult to work with due to her personality (not to say she doesn’t like working with people because she does) and can be impatient. Willing to suggest and take big risks at the chance of a big reward. Jasmine has a fear of large predatory animals despite arguably being one (wolves, big cats, etc). Themesong: Frontline by Pillar Other: Likes to dress in big boots and leather jackets. Tends to wear tight, semi-revealing clothing and it isn’t unusual to catch her chewing gum. Heterosexual. Likes thick eyeliner because she thinks it makes her look intimidating. (Please note that she, like her partner, is not white. Won't have someone else white washing my own character, kthx~)

Seems like we're losing a lot of people when there wasn't much interest to begin. Do we still go through with the Roleplay? And yes, of course, you have permission to edit your characters anytime before the Roleplay. Also, of course you're accepted Kidd. You always have phenomenal CSes, but I'm sure you know that by now. And Sapphire, I do like your character, but what color is Jasper supposed to refer (does it relate to pink/mahogany?). I do apologize for my absence. Unneeded family drama, you see.

It would be nice to have more players. I've bumped the interest check in hopes of getting more people interested, so we'll see. And thank you! <3 I'll post her in the characters tab sometime today, gotta skip off to class now. And it's okay, stuff comes up. I'm sure we all understand. Hope everything's alright now. :)

"Don't lump me in with you," was Klaus' response to the comparison of kill counts. He wasn't too fond of bragging of his killings of other vampires; while he disliked the majority, he didn't go out of his way to kill one unless self defense was a reason. It was this attitude, among others, that prevented him from joining the Kingston family. His gaze flickered between Mithias and Praetor, his arms crossing over his chest as he stood to the side. Meanwhile, his ears were open to Mira, making sure she didn't encounter trouble at the front door. Mira stared at the strange person before her, studying his unique features as he studied her plain ones. "Well I'm the head of the family, so you come at a good time," she said despite the exchange of bitter words going on in the kitchen. "I'm Mirabelle Kingston--just Mira is fine. Come on in, Mr. Heidrich," the woman added, stepping aside to lead the other vampire in to where the two ancients were squabbling in front of the guest. "Preator, do try not to intimidate our guests--" she paused, eyeing the golden eyed stranger as his jaw dropped in some sort of awe. Then she grew silent for a moment, her gaze flickering to everyone in the room. It was a bit of a full house so she would have to handle this gracefully. "Praetor, will you please help Mr. Mathias Heidrich here? He's seeking asylum within our family and I'm inclined to give it to him after you ask him some questions and make sure he's a good fit for the family. "And I didn't catch your name," she added, her blue gaze following on Mithias, "but perhaps we could take a walk? I'd like to give Praetor and Mr. Heidrich privacy as well as you and me." Then her eyes flickered to Klaus pointedly. The older vampire sighed and pushed away from the table. "I just got here and you're kicking me out. Luckily for you, I'm thirsty anyway," Klaus provoked, flashing a grin at Praetor before quickly leaving bounding out the kitchen and then out the front door.
