Jax nodded, thinking that she would win in this battle of words,"Deal! I promise to allow this only if you can convince me that I deserve it." Jax sucked in a breath, and put her hands on her hips,"Okay first off, I earn what I make! How can you tell me I have honestly earned this. My exorcism money wouldn't even cover half of blade!" She paused then continued,"Second off, I am nowhere near the level that I should own a Valgotl scythe! This is top of the line craftsmanship. A scythe this precious should be in the hands of a grand master, not someone in my level." She paused waiting for his retort.

"Well you earned it because you were kind to me," Morthos told her, "isn't there some story about a god who would disguise themselves as a beggar and when someone helped the god they gave the person great riches? It's like that, clearly, I'm not a god, but becoming friends has given you a great gift." He thought that was a good enough point, the second one was a bit of a stretch but he thought he knew what to say. "As for your second point, I think the sooner you get it the more powerful you'll become. These scythes are custom made to your power level, and they grow with you. The demon blood makes them somewhat sentient, and as you grow so will the scythe."

Jax crossed her arms wanting to debate the first one but knowing she would never get him to understand that being someone's friend was something so simple to her. The second point was fair. She knew the scythes grew as she did but still. The people who owned them only received these gifts due to great feats they overcame. Jax bit her lip then spoke evenly,"I don't deserve it..because..because I want to be the best Morthos. I want to beat everyone who comes my way and even though I want to do it to protect people there is a part of me who wants it because...because of pride. I want people to look at me as strong. Not a weak human girl who can draw a fucking pentagram." She turned around, not wanting to look at him as she kicked a rock down the road, shoving her hands in her pockets,"I don't deserve it because..I'm not a good person...not when I could be better."

"Jax, look at me," he grabbed her and spun her so she faced him, then took her face in his hands to make her look him in his pure orange eyes. "Do you think everyone who walks through those doors does it with noble intentions? Lots of people just want to be powerful, and they'd do anything to get what they want. You're already better than them because you didn't accept my offer immediately." Their faces were close, he could feel her breath on his skin and he was sure she could feel his, "and I'm not sure how much this will mean coming from me, but I think you're a pretty great person." Before she could respond and before he could think himself off the ledge he kissed her. Now you've done it, idiot Morthos chided himself, she said no relationship, now you're kissing her.

Jax was about to argue when he kissed her. She paused, her arms twitching for a few seconds before she arched into him. She gripped his jean jacket to roughly kiss him back with a fire she only reserved for her sexiest moments. Suddenly she stopped and she pushed him away from her. She let out a gasp her breath choppy,"Fine! You win. I will let you buy me the damn scythe." She touched her lips then walked over to Morthos punching him in the shoulder her expression serious but flushed,"But that means you have to wear the crown of my best...friend. Friend. Morthos." She looked at him harshly, her eyes pleading with him to understand, "Please..be my friend."

The kiss ended almost as fast as it had begun and Morthos was kind of speechless. Jax was pleading for him to just be her friend, she clearly didn't want to hurt him, and Morthos understood, even if it made him a bit sad. "Right, friend, ya...ya, of course." He paused a moment as he went to open the door, "um, I'm sorry, but I'm not sorry. Is that.....is that okay?" Morthos felt bad after all Jax had done to try and make sure he got the message they were just friends, but in that moment he just felt something between them.

Jax saw that she crushed him with her rejection. She knew exactly what he wanted and the very physical part of her wanted it to. Tension had been brimming all day and the outlet was fantastic. God the boy could kiss. She was still flushed, and she appreciated that he didn't fully apologize for kissing her. He couldn't help himself, that thought made her more on edge then she thought. She shut those thoughts down immediately though. She had a plan and she was sticking to it, regardless of how much she wanted to just reach over and kiss him again. She smiled at him as he opened the door and put on a teasing face,"Don't be sorry. It was good...really good. It just can't happen again." She poked him in the nose, smirking as she walked in almost running into a small old goblin with blue skin, a green beard, and glasses, "Uh...Hello."

"Yes? What do you want? It doesn't matter, my master will have no time for riffraff such as yourself, get out." The goblin was direct and to the point, Morthos was going to say something when he heard a voice from the back call out, "Be nice Oggic, let them in and you get back to your work." Oggic just grumbled, "The master has taken a liking to you, consider yourselves lucky." Morthos took Jax's arm in his and walked with her to the back. Behind the curtain they found a man in front of a smithing table, he was bent down, working on finishing up what seemed to be a sword of some sort. The room was full of any weapon you could imagine, and tools of all sorts. The man straightened and turned around, taking off a large set of goggles. He was bald, but it looked like he shaved his head on purpose. He was dark skinned and had very nice features, Morthos didn't swing that way but he could admit the guy was good looking. "I'm Hardon Valgotl, I've been observing you outside my shop for the last few minutes since you got here." Morthos felt a little odd knowing he was being watched out there, especially considering what had happened, Valgotl continued, "You don't have to worry about making your case. You already have with your discussion outside, the real way to learn about someone is to hear them when they're not putting on a show. Jax, I'll make you your scythe, leave me your contact information and I'll let you know when it's done. Morthos, I'll discuss a price with you another day so leave your information as well."

Jax squealed at his acceptance of her, and did a strange victory dance,"Oh THANKYOU! THANKYOU THANKYOU! OH YEAH! I'M CHOSEN! I'M WORTHY! I'M WORTHY!!! EEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" She ran up to the little goblin giving every single detail of her information, and three addresses in case the information was lost. She hugged Morthos and danced about,"BEST BIRTHDAY GIFT EVER! Shit AHHHHH!!!!" She did another dance, non-stop talking the entire visit. After they finished gabbing at the shop, they finished off the last of their shopping with some new black boots and some potions for Ophelia. There last stop was at the Barber where Morthos got a haircut. Once this was done they headed back to Jax's place, opening the door to the smell of Ramen and Ophelia on the couch.
Jax felt her stomach drop as she reached the shop. Her eyes widened like disc's,"Mo...Morthos...I can't.." She looked at the shop with utter longing then back at him. She dropped his bags then walked up to him, hugging him tightly, her arms wrapping around his neck. Her voice was soft, serious,"My friendship is non-conditional. You know that right. I meant what I said, I like you too much because of who YOU are. Not because of how much money you have or what you can buy me. This.." She pulled back, putting her hands on her hips shaking her head,"I can't accept something like this...I want to. Believe me, I want to, but it's too much. I..I.. don't deserve it." She shook her head, slightly vulnerable as she stared through the window into the shop,"I don't."
Jax missed the wink Edwin tossed Morthos' way as he went inside the changeroom happy that he liked the jacket she chose for him. She took off her own leather jacket and got comfortable on a suede blue couch as Edwin fed some clothes through the top of the room,"Here are some options for you Mr. Red. I think I guessed the right size but if you need me to come in and check to be sure, I can." He handed over some black and grey jeans, some white and black tanktops and t-shirts, and some suede belts. Jax stood up getting antsy as she waited for him to try on the clothes,"How are those working! I want to see!"

Morthos was almost certain Edwin was hitting on him, he hoped it was only playful and not serious. The first thing he tried on was the black jeans with the black tank top, along with the black leather jacket he was looking very....dark. He opened the door and spun in a circle for Jax to see all of him. "What do you think? Is it too much black? I feel like it may be too much black."

Jax paused, looking him over, with all the bulk taken away, noting the pronounced muscles in his legs and arms and her eyes widened. Edwin spoke up first before she got a word in,"Oh! Black is definitely your color! Damn, you couldn't even tell you were toned beneath that bulk." Jax found her tongue,"Uh..yeah..Exactly. You look...really sexy...I MEAN GOOD! YOU LOOK GOOD! Maybe a bit too much black, but Edwin is right! It suits you!" She moved back to her seat sitting down slowly.

"Uh huh," sexy eh? Morthos did like the sound of that, maybe Jax was willing to budge on her no dating rule for the right guy. "Well let's try it with the white tank top," Morthos just took off the jacket and black tank without bothering to go back in the room, it was just his top half after all. He grabbed the white top from the room and put it on with the jacket. "What do you think? Better? Worse? And should I even try with the grey jeans or is black definitely the way to go?"

Jax's eyes widened even more as he took off his shirt. She twitched slightly looking at his abs and the small bit of hair that just came down...down...oh dear. She shut her legs crossing her arms, trying not to have a damn nosebleed as he put the white top on. "The red one is really good too..I MEAN the white one. The white one. Sorry. I am just Woooo on the ball today. I think both go well with the jacket. Try with the grey pants! Also, we need to get you some boots and some other things as well...in fact, I will go grab those!" Edwin jumped to attention,"Oh you sit your gorgeous little ass on that seat. I will grab some more options for him." Jax nodded morosely, actually wanting the few minutes to relax when he left. She turned to Morthos trying to compose herself,"How do you like it? Not too...ah...tight?"

Jax certainly seemed a bit off her normal game today, was she getting distracted by Morthos' body? She seemed to insist that they were only friends and apparently she wouldn't even bang him, so he wasn't sure what the big issue would be. Edwin was off to get more things, leaving Morthos and Jax. "The jeans are a bit tight, but aren't jeans supposed to be a bit tight? Also, I'm sure they'll loosen a bit after I break them in. Gimme a sec to try the grey ones, and no you don't get a peep show this time," he gave her a cheeky wink and closed the door to change pants. He left the white shirt and jacket on and opened the door, "I think the black shirt would look weird with the grey pants, or am I wrong about that?"

Jax bit her lip at his cheeky wink, almost a bit disappointed that she wouldn't get a peep. It wasn't fair to him, to act this way after she was the one who was so against dating. Plus she wasn't a whimpering virgin, who nosebled because the hot guy talked to her. She was the hot one usually. She just couldn't help it. He was a hottie and she was a sucker for good looking boys. Always had been. She stood shaking off her feelings when she turned around and saw him in the grey pants and shirt. She gave him an awkward smile,"I think they would look alright. I mean the white goes really well but the black wouldn't look bad either." Edwin came back with a light jean jacket, a charcoal grey hoodie, a bunch of ripped jeans and a pair of leather pants. Jax looked them all over and turned to Morthos,"He is so good! I love all of these." Edwin smiled at her with soft eyes,"I have an eye for the male form, beautiful." Jax blushed again,"You are too cute." She turned to Morthos again, "Try the jean jacket on with the darker jeans and the hoodie! Also the leather pants with the white t-shirt! "

"Aye aye, captain bossy britches," he teased as he grabbed the clothes from her and went back in the changing room. He tried on the first outfit she had suggested, the darker pre-ripped jeans and the jean jacket. He left the room with no shirt on under the jacket so you could see his chest. "Hey, what if I just didn't wear a shirt anymore and only wore the jacket?" He was joking, of course, he just wanted to see how Jax would react. He'd never thought of himself as good looking before, but seeing Jax get flustered at him changing his shirt in front of her he realized he must have something about him which made him good looking despite the red skin. Maybe she was a bit into demons? He couldn't be sure.

Jax laughed at his teasing as she stuck out her tongue,"Just get in there!" She watched him head in and tried to calm down. A few seconds he came back out and she tensed up immediately. She blushed, her eyes immediately on his chest again, then up to his smiling face. She heard his offer of never wearing a shirt again and she bit her tongue before responding,"You cheeky bugger. You totally knew you were hot didn't you! Well, you know what Sparky, I am in the need of a new bikini, so we will see how you fair then." Edwin perked up,"We have bathing suit shorts too!" Jax turned around quickly,"NO! He's fine!"

"Oh no," he said sarcastically, "I get to see the hot girl in a bikini, what ever will I do." He laughed and went back in to grab a shirt and get dressed properly before coming back out. "Also, for your information, I just figured out I was hot today watching you stare at me. You sure I'm still too good of a friend to bang?" Since Morthos had met Jax he'd found his confidence growing, apparently, a confident Morthos was just enough of a dick that you didn't hate him.

Jax blushed, pursing her lips. He was right..it was in his favor probably. She listened to him slightly shocked. Confident Morthos was...too much her type for her liking,"Oh you are trouble...." She walked up to him, close enough that it was past the point of comfortable,"Rule stands Sparky, but even if the option were on the table, I'm not sure you could handle a girl like me in the bedroom." As she was talking her eyes darted to his lips getting fairly close. She stopped only moments from kissing him before she turned, her hair smacking him in the face, as she walked back to the couch grabbing up her jacket,"Too bad, I like you too much as a friend because I could teach you a few things. We will take it all Edwin!" She turned winking at Morthos,"On his tab of course."

Jax was very close to him. Too close, turns out his bravado disappeared when girls got within a certain proximity. Interesting. He could kiss her, he just had to lean forward. Should he? Would Jax slap him if he did that? Turns out he didn't need to worry about it as Jax turned and let her hair slap him, deciding they were just going to get all of it. "Yes, on my tab, I'm gonna wear these ones out of the store," he was currently wearing the pre-ripped jeans, white t-shirt, and jean jacket. He went with Edwin to pay then left with Jax and several bags in tow. "Well that was a good trip, now, I have somewhere I want to take you, come on," saying that he started making his way to Hardon Valgotl's place where he could get Jax started on getting her dream scythe.

Jax was happy he didn't kiss her. She risked the biscuit on that one because if he did she didn't know if she could stop herself from kissing him back. She took a gamble and her confidence won out..this time. She was relieved and somehow slightly disappointed. She gave her goodbyes to Edwin with Morthos behind her, some of his bags in her hands. She was all set to head towards the barber when he suddenly steered her away from the street to another. She gave him a questioning look,"Somewhere you want to take me? If this is a bikini shop. I don't really need a new one!"
Jax looked at Morthos with a bored expression,"I wouldn't necessarily say civil. I acted like an idiot yesterday, yelling and screaming like a crazy woman, but my reasons have not changed. I don't like or trust him, and today I know why. You may not be able to see it but, that boy is dripping in demonic aura. He needs an exorcism, and I don't want him anywhere near my sister. However...Ophelia is stubborn and for some unimaginable reason, she wants him. She would never threaten me otherwise. I'm not going to tell her what to do. She get's enough of that from our mother. So I'm giving them their time. Honestly, the only reason I am leaving him with her is that I would blow my shit if he was just lingering outside our place."

She shook slightly, gritting her teeth as pain flashed up her arm,"Anyway. I don't want to think about them. Let's worry about getting you a new sexy look!" She listened to him talk about his wealth and then laughed,"Oh no limits. Your parents are going to hate me after this."

She looked around at the shops stopping at a large black building with a large sign called,'Whiskey Tailors.' She grabbed Morthos' hand then walked in with him in tow. She let his hand go and looked around at the men's wear. The place was filled to the brim with rich clothes of leather and rich denim and the store had a musk of cedar and a hint of whiskey. A large, finely toned Elf came over with bright eyes,"Hello gorgeous. My name's Edwin, Please say I can help you find something for your dad."

Jax blushed,"Not for daddy, tonight handsome. My friend here needs some new duds and if you give us some of your time, I'm sure we can make it worth your while."

Edwin eyed Morthos with a put on smile then turned back to Jax,"You walking in here already made me worth my while, now..I'm sure we can find something for him. Here let me pull out some stuff for you."

Jax bit her lip watching him walk off before turning to Morthos with a too big grin on her face,"Oh I like this place..." Her eyes suddenly caught on something behind him,"but I like this more." She walked past him reaching out to grab a black leather jacket. She pulled a size down and gave it to him with a smile,"Oh you are going to look so hot in this. Try it!"

She waited, Edwin coming up behind her with some pants and some shirts,"I've brought you some items." She kept her eyes on Morthos,"Yeah just put them in the changeroom handsome and we will meet you back there. How do you like it?"

Jax watched the fight intensely listening to Morthos evenly as he offered her an excuse for his weird behavior. She nodded accepting that he was just worried about the fight and not her. She fisted her biceps as she watched the fight, trying to keep her attention on the conversation in front of her,"Yeah..let me see how Ophelia fairs. If she's okay then hell yes I am down for that. Ophelia may have style when it comes to shopping, but I know exactly how to turn you into a fuckable bad boy." She nudged him slightly then turned back to the fight, her body on edge as she watched. She screamed out loudly at Ophelia's victory, proud of her sister like never before. The fight was graceful, like a dance Ophelia took down her opponent with grace.

As soon as it was over and she was carted to medical she saw Roxas a few rows over jump down and over to her like the wind. She turned to Morthos and he responded without her having to say anything. She was gone before he even finished. She jumped down into the arena, walking over to Ophelia. She brushed past Roxas and looked her sister over, touching her other hand for a moment before the nurse came over,"Who's in charge of her?"

Jax sighed,"I'm her sister. She just met him last night."

The nurse raised an eyebrow,"You then."

Jax walked over to the nurse, listening as she listing off some medical procedures and potions that would help with the pain. She nodded, running her hand through her hair. The nurse clicked her tongue,"Make sure she gets plenty of rest, we are going to keep her for observation for a few hours then you can take her home. Also, where is your damn sling? That shoulder needs more than a day's rest."

Jax's eyes turned into slits,"I'm fine. Give me a minute with her and...him."

The nurse shook her head,"Good luck."

Jax walked back over to Roxas looking down at Ophelia, and crossing her arms. She licked her cut lip then kept her voice even but very calm,"I don't like you. I will never trust you, but she does. The way I acted yesterday was deplorable. I shouldn't have yelled or been so indignant when I was arguing, but the reason I did it has not changed. I love her more than you can even imagine, and even you have to see why I don't trust you with her. That being said, I am not her mother. I will not inhibit her choices, because I know if she inhibited mine, I would hate her."

She rubbed her eyes and moved over to Ophelia fixing her hair, and kissing her on the forehead. She pulled out her keys and held them out to Roxas,"You like her. I must have been high off my meds yesterday not to notice but you do. Take her home and give her some blood. Keep her comfortable and give her the teddy-bear on the top shelf of her closet. It makes no bloody sense having both of us sitting there worrying about her. I will grab her the potions and I will meet you there."

She turned her green eyes bearing down on him,"As for you and I, stay the fuck out of my way and keep my sister happy, and be ready to leave by the time I get home."

She dropped the keys then walked away, noticing Morthos walk over. She gave him a small smirk,"Up for shopping?"
Jax immediately could tell something was up with Morthos. She responded evenly after his question,"Yeah! Best to research sooner rather than later."

As they walked over to SPA Jax could tell that Morthos had something on his mind. Did she say something? Insult him? She tried to think, was it about the no dating rule. He might not be into her at all..Hell, he might only like red she-devils and then she just made him seem like a lush who was dying to get into her panties. Just because she was attracted doesn't mean he was. She wasn't exactly a 10, and the scars and bruises probably made her look even less attractive. She suddenly saw herself in a new light from a new perspective and she didn't like it. She was just about to say something when she realized they were at the board and Ophelia's cursive was glaring down at her,"WHAT THE FUCK!"

She nodded at him, before half-running into the arena, barrelling past people to the seats up on the front row. She was so fucking confused, why the hell would her sister enter a fight! She hates fighting! She liked helping people but the combat form has never been her style. She watched the fight with wide eyes, gripping her knees as her sister fought the angel. She suddenly saw her sister cut and thrown against the wall and her eyes turned bright green. She shut them, calming down before opening them to see Ophelia looking up at her. SHE wanted to scream, point to the door, but deep down she knew something that most others didn't when it came to Ophelia, that if she wanted to...she was an incredible force to go up against. That is what she needed. Jax crossed her arms, a smirk curving her features as she nodded a silent agreement amongst sisters. Get up...and show him what you can really do. She waited patiently, feeling relief spring over her she turned to Morthos,"She's going to win. Plain and simple." She suddenly remembered her earlier thoughts,"Morthos are you okay? Did I piss you off or something?"
Jax laughed along with Mortho, at the thought of him exploding,"Haha! I think you will be alright. My god is generally kind most of the time. It's the priests who might treat you like shit. My sins are excused because I do 'HIS' work but they may not look at you that kindly. Haha, Also you said we snuggled right..."

She paused watching him grow nervous again, and she blushed trying not to make this conversation awkward,"It's fine. Believe me, Honey bear I have done a lot more then snuggled with a few of my friends. Just don't let it lead you to feel anything more than friendship. I know that you are so not interested in dating me, but ummm just so you know I don't do the dating thing/love thing. I have plans to be with a really strong mythic when I'm older and I can't let distractions like love get in the way. Not calling you a distraction. You're totally my type, I just like you too much to sleep with you. Well, bang you."

She blushed bright red," Gah...I just want to be honest." Suddenly the church was above them and she paused just outside of the doors,"Maybe it's best you wait out here. I will only be in there a few minutes anyway. I promise though, you can come again with me and I can show you around." She looked at him wanting to say something else, but she stopped herself turning back towards the door,"I'll be fast."

She went inside, letting the heavy wooden doors fall back behind her. She leaned against it for a minute before walking down the long corridor between the pews, her heels hitting the marble floors hard as she walked towards Father Douglas. He was a middle-aged man with brown hair and spectacles, his mythic ability was to read peoples souls and she hated that every time he looked at her she seemed like an open book. He turned away from lighting the candles, looking at her solemnly. She looked around at the few other patrons sitting in the pews and then back at him,"Look I'm sorry for..." He finished for her,"Being late, drinking, fighting with your sister, sleeping with a 'devil man' and cursing 47 times in the past two days."

She eyed him sourly,"The first one. The others I feel no shame for." He walked down the few steps, shaking his head,"Oh I know that too child. Now follow me, let us get you blessed for the day. You're lucky he forgives workers of the faith."

She followed him through the corridor,"Ya know Douglas we go through this every freaking morning. Do you get tired of being a judgemental ass or does it secretly turn you on?"

Douglas looked over his shoulder laughing lightly,"I just reflect His judgments, Jax, personally what you do is up to you. I've washed my hands of your sins years ago. They are mild in comparison to the last Exorcist in our midsts."

She laughed,"Oh I've heard of Maxus. What he did to that painting..."

He cut her off, again,"WAS AN ABOMINATION AGAINST HIS NAME...and should not have been allowed."

She leaned forward,"It was just a dick..."

"We are here!" He finished, bringing her to a small room with a stone basin set in the center of the stone walls. Renaissance paintings of demons and angels covered the walls highlighted only by candles. She walked over, taking off her jacket and shirt her expression turning serious as she turned around,"Well Let's get this over with. I have a friend waiting for me."

Douglas hissed as he began to speak in Latin, his fingers dipping into the cold water before covering the lines of her tattoo. Jax picked up her cross whispering her own prayers underneath the priests. She felt settled after a few minutes, a calm coming over her as she held her cross. She felt safe protected from the evil from around her. For a second she thought of Morthos cuddling her last night. She felt the same warmth this morning as she felt now. Fear struck her lightly and she kissed her cross. Douglas finished and then took a step back. Jax grabbed her tank-top and put it on slowly. Douglas spoke lightly his words calm,"Pride will kill you Jax. That wound on your shoulder is a testament to what you can achieve, but how deep are you willing to let the world hurt you before you reach your goals?"

She didn't look at him, just put on her jacket,"Douglas you know exactly how deep. I have to go."

She turned and he smiled at her warmly,"I do. Don't be afraid of warmth child. Wherever it comes."

Jax blushed, shaking her head, before walking out of the corridor,"Tomorrow?"

He pats her on the back,"Tomorrow. Be wise my child. We trust in you."

She nodded and then headed out the door looking around for Morthos. She found him moments later and spoke in a soft angelic voice,"I have finally sworn off booze, men and curse words. I am reborn as an angel." Her tone changed to a deep sultry rust,"I'm just fucking with ya! SPA?"
Jax felt warm. She breathed lightly, feeling cozy, as she snuggled up to the warmth cocooning her. Her slumber was good, better then what she had had for years and then suddenly the warmth was gone. She missed the warmth, even in her comatose state she felt the absence fully. She reached out subconsciously hoping to find it again when suddenly an alarm blared. She awoke immediately looking around to see sunlight shine through her window and Morthos in her doorway.

She yawned,"Morning Sunshine! Didn't plan on having a slumber party...haha!" She jumped out of bed, moving to her closet as she opened it,"Sorry about not waking you up. I figured you had a long day. Plus don't worry. I didn't try anything." She winked at him, unaware that they were, in fact, snuggling for most of the night. She then pulled off her shirt exposing a thick black cross blaring at him on her back. Her one shoulder was still covered in thick red, purple and purple bruises and both old and new scars crisscrossed on her skin. She grabbed a bra and put it on, comfortable with having Morthos look at her back. She then pulled out a grey tank, through it on with some jeans, her signature scuffed leather boots and then a leather jacket with a red devil lady on the back. The sling she was supposed to wear was discarded on the ground forgotten. She turned back to Morthos after changing,"I would offer you clothes but I don't have any. Anyway, I know that I have to rush this but I'm going to be late for church."

She smirked at him, pulling out her cross necklace from between her boobs and put it over her top. She then walked past him into the bathroom, taking a quick piss, before opening the door so she could talk with him as she brushed her hair, her shoulder throbbing painfully as she lifted her arm,"And before you ask any questions, I work there as an Exorcist. It's me and two priests, but they can't handle the big bastards so they call me in. I get a blessing before I start the day. Father Douglas is probably waiting as we speak. You are welcome to come if you want."

She brushed her teeth then spit into the sink then turned around teasing him,"Or perhaps we shouldn't. We did sleep together before wedlock." She teased him sticking out her tongue as she went to Ophelia's room knocking on the door,"Ophelia! I know you're pissed but I'm leaving so don't forget to lock the door when you leave." She listened for any movement but only heard silence and without warning opened the door to see no one. She paused listening for her in another part of the apartment but she heard nothing. She turned to Morthos, a mute anger behind her eyes as she slammed the door, "She's probably hunting." Her inner dialogue went nuts,She was not fucking hunting! She was with that greaseball. Calm down. Relax. She's grown, she can do whatever she pleases. You overstepped way too much yesterday..THEY PROBABLY FUCKED!... She blinked shivering in disgust before looking at Morthos,"Ophelia Later. Church now! You coming?"
Jax listened quietly, happy that she didn't insult him and sad again that he seemed so lonely at times. Jax didn't know what type of loneliness. No one ever judged her the way she judged him and on her part, she always seemed to make friends easily. She just did what she wanted to do and talked to whomever she pleased with unwavering confidence and friends followed. Even when she was a little chubby she was always one of the first to help the teacher or compete in sports. Being shy was something unnatural to her and being bullied was something she just never allowed happen. The one attempt led to her getting expelled for breaking the teeth of some young boy, but other than that she was always close to her family and friends. She saw loneliness through her sister. Ophelia was more timid, strong and serious but shyer when it came to people. Jax felt bad that she never even tried asking her sister about that. She paused hearing Morthos talk about getting new clothes and she smiled. She spoke softly,"Oh...I can help you with that...I'm great at..."

Suddenly she heard a snore and stopped dead in her tracks. She looked over at Morthos sleeping face and bit her lip. Must be the alcohol. She lifted up slowly trying not to wake him as she grabbed a blanket from her pillow. She placed it over him very gently, so at least he would be warm overnight. She then grabbed another that had fallen on the floor and pulled it over Hargul and herself. She snuggled back onto the pillow and then whispered very very slowly more to herself then Morthos,"I promise that I will get you friends and a girlfriend so that you don't have to feel alone like that anymore. I'm a hero you know. Saving people is what I do! It's what I'll always do."

She nodded to herself, not realizing that the last sentence said more about her own loneliness then she was willing to admit to herself. She shut her eyes letting the drugs and alcohol take her away, the dull pain finally fading away with conSciousness.
Jax didn't like hearing that he was a lonely child but she laughed when he offered to send her baby pics,"Yeah! Tell her to send some! I will show you mine as well when your's come in." She looked over at his tank top and the muscles beneath it when he mentioned burning off calories easily and then looked at his hair and pants. She blushed looking up at her ceiling,"Yeah I can see that. Your muscle definition is not exactly on the plushy side. You know if you didn't dress the way you do, people might not think you were so creepy." She covered her mouth, "Sorry...that's the alcohol talking...I'm really not trying to be rude, but if you bought some more fitted clothes, and maybe cut your hair a bit, you could probably have girls fawning all over you. You have the goods, you could just show them better."

She turned on her side, her green eyes looking at him patiently,"Seriously though, I don't mean to be judgemental. If this is your look I'm cool with it. I just have this thing where I shove my opinions down other peoples throat..So tell me when to shut up." She paused looking at his bedazzled horns,"Very Sexy Hargul good job." She shut her lips trying not to giggle, as Hargul finished up, and then moved to sit on Morthos chest,"YES HARGUL DID GOOD JOB! YOU NO LONGER LOOK LIKE SHITSPOON." Jax guffawed,"Hargul, That's so rude."

Hargul twitched his nose then shrugged, jumping over Morthos to curl in the crook of Jax's arm. His scales and plastic jeweled leotard scraped against her skin, but she patted his head whispering to Morthos,"Sorry..."
