Just to throw my own character out there for my own reference, I was planning on having a male assassin who hates his job, but is perfect for it. Also he may seem cold on the outside, but I want him to be really sweet on the inside. Ya know, the that plays with kittens (maybe not that clique). Just something along those lines. (If your comparing characters to mine).

I was going to have my character be the kind of person who does things that seem harsh for the betterment of those around them. Kind of like a tough love because one trait that I want them to have is not being able to stand seeing others suffer. If that's okay.
