I'm about to let Larach take the kills for himself in flagrant-self-serving-fanboy-marysue-badassery if the other people in group two don't do something.
Batman signature move: Preparation.
So how many slaves do we actually have? A quick headcount would help us get an idea of what we have available and all that.

Agreed. Give us a loot-list to fight over DM!
Octavius had bared witness to much this day, he watched as everyone ran about like children, most of them anyways. One thing for certain was he saw was many strengths and weaknesses, powers being used after cooped up inactivity to far too long. It was expected for everyone to play to their strengths and one-up each other while the human had nothing to show for it. No souls, no treasure, no blood on his blade. Just a potion of light curing, about as much as he would have gotten from a goblin warcamp.

Most important of all, though, was witnessing the keepers power in the form of the crimson tide of imps. He actually tried to keep a head count to track them all and measure them as a whole as to their physical strength or obvious weaknesses to fire or the like. He watched the imps raid and raze it all to ruin and finally open a portal. He tried to memorize the ritual in case he would ever need it.

Through the portal, he joined the rest to mill about, waiting the the keeper who arrived in a splendid display of power. He offered such a grand entrance a polite applaud as it deserved but was surprised that his claim was a mere ten people. Intruiged,he quietly cast a detection spell to look for any magic amidst the slaves or the items, looking for arcane or holy auras.

That could easily be an option, although any purchased items would have to either be a one-shot piece of equipment or a cheaper skill upgrade, depending on what you'd prefer.

I could easily have part of the post-mission rewards be a salary paid by A.E.G.I.S. based on your performance, with 'Employee' characters gaining a bonus due to the efforts of their business managers.

I like the idea of one shots, again an RPG type of thing. Things like grabbing the guns from the enemy gunbunnies and using 'shotgun blast' or 'full auto' then dropping the weapon.

Personally I don't see the point of smokebomb, what is the point of dropping everyones attack and defense by -1. The damage difference is the same (5-2=3 is just the same as 4-1=3) Unless AOE ignore the effect or something specific happens if you can get the enemy stat to 0

*Gags Tinkerhel before she can do anything stupid*

But the sentence reminds me of a character from the old highlander tv series, he was a kid who died at like 10-13 and so was a 500 year old man but no puberty.

Calm and careful, just keep things calm and careful. He was doing good, they were doing good, half the hostages were free and Nightingale came over to assist with healing the wounded suffering that he couldn't save yet. But no one has died since they got there so that was the most important part. The gunman weren't seeming to do that much damage to anyone or anything, it was all just distracting... or diverting.

"I still don't see who got everyone jumping like jackrabbits, none of these folks got a guitar. They might be in the vault doing something else or worse. Can Bee get eyes on whats going on for us?"

He took up another bunch of hostages to get them out of there just as the area filled with smoke. His vision was down so he couldn't protect the hostages as well this time around and his Stoneskin was almost all used up. Did he save it for when the two big bads showed up and risk it with his ass on the line?

No, he'd have to push through once more and wait until he got back inside to absorb the marble floor instead of the asphalt.

<+1 ENERGY| Inspired: +1 defense, +1 attack 3/5| Armored: +5 Defense 3/3rounds>
<Disorientated! (1/2) -1 Attack, -1 Defence>
<Action: Remove Hostages, 11 Defense>
About the Body Armour... would people be comfortable with Bumblebee keeping it as a permanent upgrade, or should she be forced to drop it at some point?

Since I was going to have brick grab it after the hostages were all gone... I say that for this fight, the armor provides the Armored status effect, granting a +5 to defense for 3 rounds OR She gains +3 to defense for 3 attacks with a -1 for each attack she is targeted by until +0. If she wants to incorporate it into her flight suit later, then she can spend the XP and raise her defense.

Perhaps GM will let her buy the increase at half if she sacrifices the item at time of character upgrade. Hmm this makes me think of ways that would make purchasable items from A.E.G.I.S. for missions like our own smoke bombs or the like.
@GenniFixed.
@rush99999Gungirl2 would have been a better choice since they only have 1 hp left, but that is sheerly metagaming.
