Brick took a seat by heretic and tried to keep the fire out of his mind as he talked, slow and careful with his drawl a little thicker than usual. He worked the rock like clay in his hands to keep them occupied as well as focus his powers.
Lets skip on past the most obvious of 'what' happened up there, you did what you did and ain't nothing to do about it. What I gotta figure is 'when' is it going to happen again, can we rely on you to do that in every scrap? We got way too lucky too many times in this last dustup for my say-so, I'm just trying to get a feel for what going to happen next.

I'm willing to put my neck on the line and call a lot of heat off of you and on the music of hells bitches to make you not able to stop it. But, can you get your head around it from now on? Or, do we need to put you down if that happens again?

He really didn't want to start a conflict on a plane going mach 10, but he had to try and get things together to work with everyone. While heretic chewed on his answer for a second, he addressed everyone else.

"We got lucky folks and we were seriously caught with our pants down a few times. Even if you don't want to listen to me, at least listen to someone else on the team. Whichever mission we take next, I'd like to see two and three work together.

Now i don't feel like freezing my rocks off in Russia chasing after Baba Yaga and her chicken hut just yet. So that leaves mutants in the wild or robots in london. I say we go save some more lives against robots we know we can go nuts on, but if anyone wants to let loose and go crack some heads across the countryside, then off to Greece it is. With our luck, all those greek mutants will probably be like the stuff in books like minotaurs and harpies.

He selected London and waited for any responses from anyone. If the assistance option came up, he'd select Fan-dancer with a blush on his unmasked cheeks to help protect the people now that they had at least something resembling a second medic on the team. He also selected Ironside, if they were going to take on robots, her nanotech could be a keystone to victory, but if they are steam driven then the lack of higher tech might be unreachable to her techniques.

I vote for fandancer... for no apparent reason. *grabs camcorder*
Interesting abilities and traits. I didn't think of X energy for cost.
"I'm fine personally, but I think my main cannon is pretty much dead. Some sort of power conduit has been hit so the actuators and heating elements are operating at a fraction of normal capacity. On top of that, my fire control system keeps randomly cutting in and out and I can't fire the gun when the fire control system is offline. If there is a silver lining on this it's that my accelerator coils are mostly functional. I can't take the Anzu right now. He definitely is going to be waiting for us to come around that corner to blast us, and that rifle can definitely take either of us out in a shot...Romeo I think Mai's trying to get a shot off at my weakened armor. I need to get to cover!" I'm heading to Zone B to try and keep Mai from having a clean shot."

His synchronization rates had increased as he engages in acts of protection, but dip back down when forced into direct conflicts, a holdover from the desires to protect his people from the true enemy they were training for, for protecting the memory of his brother, the one he couldn't save. For the moment it was a simple thing, protect Archer, and as the numbers lessened, the job became easier and harder at the same time.

He saw the sniper frame take off for perceived protection only to watch the pod launch of an escaping pilot launch from the same area. clearly that meant the war was not over and she needed his protection all the more. One full burst of automatic fire and then back to primary combat. In the forest of stones, his reach melee will be of great use and there had to be more to her than just a single gun.

The thoughts about his gun had given him an odd idea froma n old image from an arms factory now long out of business, but it was still an idea he put to the side of his mind to work on as he took himself to the same path as Archer took, making a higher arc at a slower pace to get a better visual of the terrain below as well as once again provide false data for anyone else who chose to watch his approach.

"Don't get lost in here without me."

For the moment he was willing to bid vigilant patience One arm shielded and the other arm leveling machine gun for the next threat. Sadly that was most likely going to be Diver, a conflict he hoped to avoid and let another take her out so he would be spared any damage to their friendship.
For a caring medical practitioner, having to watch so many people being burnt to death and not being able to do anything to prevent it was highly traumatic, so she's currently suffering from a form of PTSD.

Will that effect her ability to tend to Flare?

Speaking of headquarters, where would people like the home base to be located? In the desert, the antarctic, orbital space station, seabed observatory, artificial island, transdimensional sentient spaceship in near-Earth's orbit..?

Unsurprising, I think a solid rock mesa in Arizona would be lovely and too shielded for detection.

Edward watched, he watched and he learned. Stomper was using his baton today, uncharacteristic of his namesake but then again the baton itself had greater symbolism in its phallic glory as he beat down on the other in an alphas display of power. The lucky bastard stood with hands in pockets and memorized the muscle movements, how stomper framed his stance, the way the arm moved in the body armor while coming down. Every detail was given the same attention as trying to solve another magicians trick on stage.

Then, beyond the scene, was everyone else. He watched to see who was reacting, guards and prisoners. Was anyone getting off on this display, was anyone looking away? He saw as someone dragged a new unconscious form into his cell after he had left. He'd probably miss chow time so Edward would have to do something about sneaking the newbie a bite of lunch if they got that far.@Minimum
@knighthawk
I see. Is that from the newest movies?

Brick searched around for a while until he found his boots...or what was left of them. The money inside was burned up from the helicopter fuel and he leather was ruined from all the fighting. He took a long sigh and sat on the corner of the roof with the armor and gasmask off to ponder his futilities for a while. Demios was right about just calling off things in the middle of a fight, he had to reach down and pull up the voice that could command a bunch of horny highschoolers to do what he needed when he needed it done.

All this fight he had been on the defensive line, trying to boss everyone around, if he wanted to lead the fight, he had to fight too. Taking up a rock, he rolled it over in his hands, manipulating the stone easily enough like clay as he fell back into his calm. he watched the armored trucks take off and cursed at himself a bit for having gone down there earlier but being too early to stop them. Note to self, pull out the sparkplug cables next time you cave-in a car hood.

As he played with the rock, he let his mind wander a bit as all the filth fall away and apparently the filth was the only thing holding his clothing together. For a moment he let the wind blow away the last of the dust as he pushed a divot into the stone and the lips of it lifted up for the displaced earth, turning it around a bit he soon had what looked like a beartrap for a rat in his hand...interesting.

He summoned up some rocky boxers to keep covered as he took stock of himself and carried the equipment back to the group a little more sure of himself.

The regular cops will take care of the regular problems. Nightingale, can you get us a pickup and an update on what's going on? Heretic, can I talk to you for a second?
