Bio

Posting and replies will be limited due to my upcoming transplant on the 22nd of June. I apologize to everyone waiting on me in advance.

Suppose I can say a few things about myself.

My name's Josh, I happen to enjoy roleplaying(obviously), a bit of gaming now and then, and watching anime from time to time. I'm typically hanging around here somewhere, or sitting in Chat. If you want to speak to me there, feel free. Wouldn't be opposed to VM's either. You can also add me to Skype if you so wish, I'll put that up at the end. I typically do 1x1 roleplays, though there are group ones I do, provided the plot is interesting enough. Anyways, suppose that's all for now.

It wasn't long until Kyden showed up, "I know what it is, Kyden, I have eyes too." he replied coldly. The roar prevented any further discussion between the two, only Kyden shouting orders out before taking off after the dragon, "Fool boy's going to get himself killed..." he muttered to himself. Kito watched as the dragon shifted it's focus from them and onto Kyden, for the moment, it seemed like the lancer's plan was working. He heard his name and looked back down at a stirring Calista, "I'm right here." he replied. When she asked about her staff, he began to look around, unable to to see it anywhere near him. Moments later, he heard a crack, turning just in time to see a coeurl-like creature swallowed up by the ground. Kito instantly reacted when she stepped backwards, prepared to catch her if she fell back, "Kyden's dealing with the dragon that appeared not that long ago, as for Sarina, I haven't seen her yet. It's likely she got blasted further away from us. In either case, I need you to do something for me, Calista. It's not safe here for any of us, I need you to find us shelter so we can figure out what to do next. I think I saw some buildings close to Moro Zera, maybe one of them is abandoned?" he suggested, lifting his sword onto his shoulder. He made his way towards the battle going on, "If you find Sarina, make sure you get her to safety as well. I'm going to save our lancer." he added before his body was engulfed in an orange glow.

Kito arrived just in time to see several more creatures emerge from the portal, all of them pursuing Kyden, who had somehow been put on the ground again. The dragon roared loudly, it's massive tail sweeping the charging creatures, killing or wounding them severely. It was apparent that the dragon was indiscriminate about who it attacked, friend and foe were equal game to it. Kito cursed his luck again, just what he needed, a dragon that was unpredictable. Of course, he also knew this dragon wasn't typical, and not just due to the fact it was enormous. It's attacks were calculated, as if it had extremely high intelligence. If that were the case, then was it possible that the inhabitants of Doria didn't know their world as well as they thought they did? Was it possible that there were monsters equal to this black dragon sleeping in the darkest parts of the world? This realization hit Kito hard, and it was in that moment that he finally understood why Ultima had led him to this place, to uncover the secrets of Doria. His own solution for absolute power had to be buried in those secrets, it all made sense now. Without wasting more time, Kito surged forward, blade at the ready. The dragon's red eyes turned to the male, a claw striking into the earth in an attempt to kill him, only to have been evaded. The male was now running up the arm, his blade glowing a bright yellow as magic was charged into the weapon, a second attack from the other claw coming. It missed, and Kito's sword entered the back of the dragon and continued downwards, allowing gravity to carry both sword and wielder until he landed safely.

The wound on the back exploded outwards as lightning bolts erupted from where the dragon had been cut, it falling forward to the ground, it's back still sparking here and there. Before Kito could savor his victory, the dragon's wound healed almost instantly, proving exactly what Kyden had said. The dragon was out of their league. "Kyden! Find Sarina and Calista! Get them to safety!" he shouted, turning to face the rising dragon. It let loose an ear-splitting roar, it was clearly angry and wanted blood. It took to the sky, something forming in it's mouth, something orange. It circled Kito several times before opening it's massive maw, a large orange ball revealing itself as it grew even more larger, eventually becoming a solid beam of orange light. The light shot forth faster than Kito had expected, hitting close enough to him to injure him and be sent flying, rolling along the ground like a ragdoll. The dragon landed over him and charged up again, this time letting the attack go in the form of a ball, obliterating what was left of the man. Satisfied, it finally took of for the sky, heading east across the ocean. Though his body was destroyed, Kito's consciousness still lingered. It was eventually pulled up high away from the planet, and away from Doria, until it was no longer in space either. It was now in a realm unseen to mortals, a realm where the Goddess Ultima resided, a place of complete and utter darkness. It was here that Kito's consciousness was given a form more suited for Ultima's Champion, a body identical to his mortal one, but contained within it was the Goddess' Power.

"Kito. Kito, wake up." a voice called from all around him. Kito's eyes opened, "Am I...dead?" he asked. There was a chuckle, "Not exactly. You did die, but I remade you into my champion. I suppose it was a good thing you tried to take my pet down, it certainly made it easier to make you a new body, instead of having to wait for you to die on your own." the voice replied. "New body? What do you mean?" he asked, slightly confused. "You see, the human body you had is gone, destroyed by my pet. You remember him, right? The dragon? Well, thanks to him, I was able to give you a new body along with some of my powers." it explained. "Your powers? Are you trying to tell me that you're a God?" the voice scoffed, "It's Goddess. And yes, I am one." it corrected him. "Alright, then who are you? Eden?" he asked. "DON'T MENTION THAT NAME IN MY PRESENCE AGAIN!" the voice roared. "No, I am not her. I am called Ultima." the voice replied. "Ultima? The same one whom I've been hearing for most of my life?" "The very same, Kito." she replied. Kito looked around, "What is it you want me to do in exchange for this new body?" he asked. "Simple. Corrupt Eden's temples, create wars, uncover the truth about Doria's creation. You can do all this in whatever way you see fit, it's entirely up to you. You have the thing you've wanted most, absolute power, the power of a Goddess! Now go, my champion, sow the seeds of destruction!" she told him. Kito's body returned to Doria, roughly in the same shape it had been before the dragon landed the killing blow, though the male was still unconscious.
Six years. That was how long Shin had been gone for, and it was to no surprise that many of his clansmen didn't know who he was when he arrived several days ago. His family was in the dark about his return, he wanted no contact with them, especially when he had to focus on his missions. The commotion from outside was starting to disrupt Shin's inner peace, making him almost spill the sake he had just been brought. Had this happened when he was younger, perhaps he would've lost all sense of reason and confronted the individuals causing the disturbance, and likely gotten himself killed in the process. Carefully lifting the mask that hid his face, he brought the dish to his lips and drank it before setting it down on the counter, lowering his mask back into place. He slowly stood from his seat, making his way toward the door several feet away, "Sir, your sake?" the owner asked. Shin stopped for a moment, "Give it to someone else, I won't be returning." he replied before walking out. The first thing he saw were a group of ronin hassling a nearby sake stall to his right; he knew who these scum were, the Kabuki Mono. He heard more of them, it seemed there were also Matsudaira Samurai now getting involved. Shin cursed his luck, it was one thing if it were just the samurai, they were easily dealt with. But the fact the Kabuki Mono were here as well, things were certainly going to get dangerous, and from the looks of the naginata one was wielding, there were going to be casualties. It was here that he spotted the woman behind the samurai, she was giving orders to one of them, and it dawned on him who she must be.

This confrontation meant more than a simple skirmish, if the Kabuki Mono managed to get their hands on the woman, there would be no end to the conflict between the Matsudaira and the Kabuki Mono. It would engulf everything. However, despite this knowledge, Shin had no intention of assisting the clearly outmatched samurai. They were his enemies, and as such, he would leave their fates to the ronin. He turned to look in the other direction, finding his escape route, the crowd of people who were busy going back and forth between shops. With the samurai and ronin distracted, Shin made his way into the crowd, taking care not to bring attention to himself, stopping at one of the untouched stalls. He pretended to be interested in what was for sale, though keeping his eyes on the inevitable conflict that was brewing, he knew Lord Sutomu would want to hear what happened, even if neither the Sutomu or Fuma were involved. Shin knew it was entirely possible that several of his clansmen were already here and watching, after all, it wasn't like he was the only shinobi the Fuma had. He discreetly lifted his hand and slid it into his outfit, his fingers finding a pair of the poison-tipped darts he carried with him. Should his clansmen enter the conflict, he would be ready to assist them.
Armond listened to Nayash, "Well, some would argue memory loss as a type of illness. Irregardless of that, you are still not up to par, and I fear you might injure yourself further should you collapse suddenly." he replied before listening to her speak once more. Illurath, she had said that name, he was sure of it. "We received reports of a woman asking for a man with that name, last we heard, she was headed this way. I can only assume that's you, Miss. You said he was a hooded man? I wonder if he's the same man..." he trailed off, losing himself in thoughts of his own. He was quickly brought out of them by the woman he was watching over, she had apparently regained consciousness as he thought. "Food? I'm sorry, but I have none with me, and those who went hunting haven't returned yet. I'm sure they will return any moment now." he replied. He looked upwards as Mara called down, warning everyone of potential falling debris or bugs. He was about to turn his attention back to Nayash when he heard a familiar voice from outside, "Speak of the devil." he said, turning his head back to Caelyn. Just when he thought he couldn't be surprised even more by the group, the woman offered him some friendly advice, even after the fact he had threatened her friend. "Your words are kind, Miss, far too kind for someone like myself. I know I was harsh before, and I have no excuse for how I acted. I've been looking for someone ever since I found sanctuary in Bale, a man who stole something very precious to my family, and framed me for their murder. I guess I've been so consumed with finding him, that I've grown ignorant of others, and perhaps even a little racist." he admitted.

He shook his head, "I know it's no excuse, but it's the truth. Anyways, I'm sure you're starting to get cold, I'll go get some firewood. I think I saw a pile of chopped wood to the side of the cabin when we were coming in, I'll go collect some and start a fire." he said, standing. He walked out of the cabin and to the side of it, picking up several dry pieces of wood and bringing them inside. He noticed a fire pit in the middle of the room and set the wood down, looking around for some dry hay afterwards, finding some near the door. After grabbing a handful and setting it under the wood, he reached into his robes and produced a small red crystal, tossing it onto the wood. The crystal shattered and flames ignited the wood, "If I had made it in time, I would've been of some use with a couple of Burn Outs. But after hearing it was a giant scorpion, I don't know how useful these things would've been against it. Doesn't matter now, they serve as a good fire source." he said out loud. He moved back to Caelyn, offering her some help, "Let's get you closer to the fire, Miss, I'm sure you don't want to get cold laying there." he said.
Yeah, no problem.
Name: Shin Katsu

Faction: Fuma Clan

Position/Profession: Fuma Clan Assassin

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Appearance: Shin

Items: Two small parrying daggers, six throwing knives, a dozen shurikens, black assassins robes with a concealed hood, protective face mask, five smoke balls, seven darts with poison laced tips, and one black katana with a red dragon engraved on it.

Abilities: Agile and acrobatic, stealthy, capable of blending in with crowds and his surroundings with ease, proficient with poisons, close combat, and ranged combat.

Personality: Shin is a very closed off individual, socialization is something he deems to be unnecessary and only delays what needs to be done. He rarely speaks, and when he does, it is very quick and very precise. Aside from his clan and the Sutomu Clan, he views everyone else as an enemy, as he was brought up to believe.

Biography: Shin's training began at an extremely young age, as it was believed the boy held a natural talent for becoming a ninja, like others of his direct family. This was not the case though. As Shin grew into his teenage years, it was discovered that Shin had an unnatural affinity for poisons and how best to use them. It was here that his training regimen was drastically changed from becoming a ninja, to becoming an assassin. While his new training was brutal on him, he didn't once give up, his goal of being a great assassin keeping him going. His family, though understanding of his desire, pleaded with Shin to reconsider his choice. After several years of this, Shin made a decision of his own, he would go and train with the best assassin Japan had to offer.

His training became even more difficult after that, and his mind began to sharpen, slowly starting to sever emotions any assassin had no use for. Shin spent the remaining six years training with his sensei, learning how to blend into the crowds perfectly, along with seamless exits through the use of shadows. The most difficult part of his training was learning to use the katana, it was heavier than anything else he was used to using, so he often found himself injured after training. Eventually, he got the hang of it and trains daily to keep his skills with the weapon sharp. Then came the day his sensei received a letter, it was addressed to Shin, and had the stamp of the Sutomu Clan to seal it. Upon opening and reading the letter, it was learned that his clan, the Fuma, were being called upon by Sutomu to aid them. This was the moment Shin had been training all his life for, the reason why he honed his skills, so one day he could serve as an assassin. Now that the time had come, Shin had no regrets about his choice, he was going to assist the Sutomu Clan. Period.

Relationship: Somewhat known within the Fuma Clan, though due to his long absence among them, it is assumed Shin is dead. His sensei is good friends with one of the Sutomu higher-ups, hence the reason they were able to locate Shin.
No worries Myst, I understand.
Doria. A world that has never known war, a world that was at peace with itself. A world untouched by evil. In a single moment, that all changed, evil now had an eternal foothold in a pure world. A massive black portal now existed where Eden's Supreme Temple once resided, a place once revered as Holy Ground, was now festering incomprehensible evil. The sound of the howling wind was all Kito heard at first, the wind that came from the nearly identical looking Doria on the opposite side of the portal. After finally coming to, he slowly opened his eyes, finding the landscape had changed drastically in a matter of minutes. The native animals were nowhere to be found, and strange beasts were emerging from the portal, they were clearly dangerous. Slowly gathering his bearings, and his weapon, Kito searched around him for his three companions. Seems the blast was stronger than originally thought. he thought to himself. Though his policy was typically to leave the others to their fates, Ultima had insisted he protect his followers. With a scornful look on his face, he began trudging towards the portal, intending to defeat the creatures before things got out of hand. However, things didn't go as he had hoped, the creatures were significantly stronger and faster than Doria's own. By the time Kito arrived at the portal, he was face to face with a massive black behemoth. Near the portal was one of his companions, Calista, if he recalled her name correctly. She appeared to still be out of it, thus reserving the male to engage the beast in battle, even were he to only delay the inevitable.

The massive beast charged him, allowing Kito to evade easily, the large sword in his hand starting to glow. As the behemoth turned to face him again, Kito was already approaching, both hands lifting the sword. The blade pierced the beast's hide, the energy built up inside the sword becoming released into the behemoth's body, though it appeared to be unaffected. It's tail came around and slammed into the male, sending him through the air and landing near Calista. Getting to his feet quickly, Kito held a hand out, "Heavens smite thy enemy! Thunder!" he shouted, not budging from where he stood. The behemoth stopped it's assault, becoming focused on dodging the randomized strikes of lightning from the sky, in which the male was able to maintain. Turning his head, "Calista! Calista, get up! All hell has broken loose and we've lost the other two! Come on! I can't hold this thing off forever!" he called, trying to get her to come to. At this point, even the lancer would've been welcome help. Before another thought could pass through his mind, Kito witnessed an even more dangerous creature emerge from the portal, a gigantic black dragon. It stood on it's hind legs and let out a loud roar, it's massive red eyes searching for a target, finding the distracted behemoth. It was picked up with ease, despite the thrashing, the massive dragon devouring it right there. In that moment, Kito knew what true fear was, and that there were things in the world that could crush him without a single moment's hesitation. Luckily, the massive dragon ignored him and decided to take to the sky, leaving him alone there with an unconscious Calista. "What in the world was that thing?" he asked out loud.
I'm in such a great mood tonight, I'm going ahead and launching the IC, even though we're missing histories on two sheets.
