Shinzo stood in the forest looking down at his Zanpakuto "
...Fucking Zanpakuto...why the hell have I heard nothing from you? It's not like I haven't tried! What do you seriously want from me? everyone else has their damn Shikai's and I'm stuck here with a Zanpakuto that's breaking apart with each fight!...but fine...if you don't want to play ball then I'll get stronger myself! I'll increase my own strength and compensate for this lack of Shikai..." Shinzo then sheathed his Zanpakuto as walked up to a tree, his right hand held up with his palm towards his face as his left hand then pulled the glove on his right hand to make sure it was on tightly. Shinzo then let his arms fall to his sides as he took a deep breath, Shinzo then pulled his right arm back as he then placed his left foot forward.
Shinzo held his right hand open as he then stepped towards the tree with his right foot, his right palm aiming to slam right into the trunk and break it clean in two with a Tessho. Fuelled by rage Shinzo delivered a strong strike to the tree's trunk, this caused splinters of wood to fly past and leaves to fall around Shinzo as he took a large chunk out of the tree trunk "
I guess I shouldn't of expected anymore...lets see if a second strike can do it..." Shinzo took up the same position as before and delivered another strike to the tree's trunk. This time however the tree split in two, the top half of the tree fell down to the ground leaving behind a splintered trunk. It was far from what you'd call a clean cut but he was using his hand after all.
Shinzo then took a deep breath as he walked around the tree trunk to the other half of the tree "
This could come in handy in more ways than one..." Shinzo then unsheathed his Zanpakuto and held it out infront of him in both hands, he then began to focus on his breathing...keeping it steady and in rhythm before pulling the Zanpakuto back over his head and then slashing down at the tree aiming to deliver a nice straight clean cut...although the blade cut right through the tree the cut was a little bit off...there was a slight angle to it which caused Shinzo to sigh "
...not even Ten percent of your power huh?...I guess I do have a long way to go...that's why I'm starting now so the road becomes shorter...while I may stand in your shadow now, unnoticed...that will become your downfall...before you know it the cold steel of my Zanpakuto will be pressed against your precious neck... " Shinzo continued to deliver cuts to the tree, sectioning it into smaller and smaller parts...yet he left one considerably larger part on purpose...
With the tree pretty much cut completely Shinzo looked to the large part he had left..."
Just need something to tie it to my back...for a little extra support" Shinzo sheathed his Zanpakuto then looked at his sleeves "
This uniforms ruined anyway...I can always get another" Shinzo then tore the sleeves off his uniform as he then walked up to the large log, thankfully it wasn't so large that the sleeves would go around it. With a little work Shinzo managed to get the log onto his back, the sleeves used as straps to keep it on his back as if it was a backpack. Shinzo then began taking a few steps forward and already it was proving more difficult to walk and keep his balance...but this was perfect...just what he wanted. After a few minutes of just walking around and getting used to finding his balance he began to run and then began to Shunpo. He noticed his Shunpo was considerably slower with the extra weight...yet it was all about getting from point A to B as fast as possible and with the least steps...
So Shinzo had set up two small chunks of the tree a good distance apart from eachother and began by shunpoing from one to the other, then stopping, turning and shunpoing back. He continued to go between the two trying to get to each one faster than the last time and with less steps. It didn't take long before Shinzo began to work up a serious sweat but this only pushed him harder...Shinzo wouldn't let his body give up, he'd push it as far as he could! even if he only got a step closer to the power of a Captain...hell...even a fraction! it was progress...he wanted to stand against a Captain one day and beat them in combat...that was what spurred him on and on. After some time Shinzo stopped to take a break...his breathing was a great deal deeper now due to being a little worn out...but he felt as if he had made progress...he was shunpoing at a slightly faster speed than before and with less steps...this meant that without the extra weight he'd likely be even faster...
He then wiped his forehead with his right forearm before undoing the straps and letting the heavy log hit the floor. "
Alright...time to try that skill I learned about..." Shinzo walked into an open area, unsheathing his Zanpakuto as he then stopped. Shinzo began to focus his breathing once again, getting into a rhythm as he raised his Zanpakuto into the air before trying to swing his Zanpakuto around his entire body. He knew this skill was risky and he soon found that out when he received a cut on his leg, but this was expected! he was trying something he'd only read about. Despite cuts opening up all over his body Shinzo powered on, trying to get it to a point where the cuts would at least lessen. He knew this skill was far from a perfect defence but if he could master it then even more skilled enemies would struggle...let alone weaker enemies...they'd find it impossible to get through...but Shinzo wouldn't rely on that. This Skill was just something he had to learn...who knew when it'd come in handy.
After awhile Shinzo stopped and fell to his knee's...cuts had opened up all over his body and blood dripped from them, running down his body...Shinzo then looked to his Zanpakuto which was covered in his blood, he then grit his teeth as he pushed himself to his feet once again...even spilling his own blood wasn't good enough for this Zanpakuto! What the hell would it take! Shinzo then let out a frustrated sigh as he sheathed his Zanpakuto...he had to try a few more things...he wasn't done here yet...although his body was disagreeing with his mindset he couldn't just stop now! Shinzo walked over to a pile of cut wood, he then picked up a piece with his left hand before throwing it up into the air and aiming his right palm at it "
HADO #33! SOKATSUI!" A blue torrent of energy then fired from Shinzo's right palm towards the chunk off wood before turning it into nothing but ash. It seemed with this skill Shinzo had gained a good level of control but still...it lacked some speed and power...but for now it was good enough. Shinzo however continued this...he had to be sure that what he had done wasn't a fluke and that he truly did have some control...However at this point Shinzo couldn't spare anymore energy to use the Hado...he just had to deal with what he had done.
Now it was time to focus on another Kido...thankfully one that was less taxing on the body but still. As Shinzo prepared to start practice on the second kido, he noticed that it had gotten darker...and also that something seemed off...it felt as if he was being watched. Shinzo looked around him and every direction he looked it was dark..."
I've been out here for that long huh?..." Shinzo noticed a few glowing eyes looking at him from the darkness of the forest "
Fuck...I really stayed out to long..." Shinzo then felt something appear behind him which caused his eyes to widen as he quickly shunpoed forward as fist came crashing down where he was "
Tch..fuckin' hollows..." Shinzo looked at the large hollow that towered over him.
"I can't underestimate this guy...but I can't waste much time here...if I do then the numbers will get the better of me and before I know it I'll become their dinner..."As another fist came flying towards Shinzo he shunpoed out of the way and that was when an idea came to mind...Shinzo held out his left arm, his index and middle finger aiming at a tree he was shunpoing past. Firing a Bakudo #9 Horin at the tree, it wrapped around the trunk as Shinzo swung around the tree and back towards the hollow, unsheathing his Zanpakuto as he got closer. He may have been big but he was slow! and if Shinzo could get his back he could take him out! Shinzo then landed on the back of the hollows neck as he then prepared to stab his Zanpakuto through the back of the hollows head yet noticed two pairs of hands coming from behind him
"Shit! he aint as slow as I thought!" Shinzo leaped up and over the hollows head, falling towards the ground head first, yet as he passed the hollows face he aimed his left palm at the hollows face and fired off a Hado #33 that crashed into the hollows face causing an explosion which caused it to stumble back. Shinzo then flipped and landed on his feet panting heavily
"I really can't afford to use anymore Hado's...I've got to finish this now!" Shinzo turned to face the hollow as he took a deep breath, he then began running towards the hollow as it sent one punch down towards him yet with a last minute shunpo he evaded the punch, another then followed to which Shinzo shunpoed into the air to avoid it, now appearing infront of the hollows face, his Zanpakuto held behind his head in both hands as he then brought it forward and slashed down at the hollows mask causing it to split in two. After the mask shattered the hollow disintegrated as Shinzo landed...Shinzo was now panting extremely heavily and it was just his luck that the burning feeling in his chest came again "
Hah..gimme...a fuckin...break!" Shinzo clutched his chest with his left hand as he looked around at the other hollows slowly closing in on him "
I can't fight another...I haven't got the energy...I need to get the hell out of here now"
Shinzo took a deep breath before shunpoing forward, thankfully he hadn't gone to deep into the forest and due to being able to shunpo slightly faster he was able to avoid anymore confrontations with hollows. Soon he found his way out of the forest and just infront of him was the Rukongai and after shunpoing off a few roofs he stopped on one and laid down on it...sprawling out as he looked up at the sky panting heavily "
hah...that's what I call...cutting it close..." Shinzo grinned a little as he closed his eyes...the pain in his chest still remained yet he was so worn out he couldn't help but drift of for a few minutes...yet within these few minutes something happened.
Shinzo found himself in a dark area looking up at a large obelisk made of iron "
What is this?" Shinzo then turned hearing a noise but everything around him was dark...and the noise was seemingly impossible to make out...Shinzo however got a truly bad feeling from it. He then felt a heavy pressure as he looked back at the obelisk that began to glow purple "
The hell is this?" For some reason Shinzo couldn't move...he wanted to get closer but soon everything turned black. His eyes then shot open as he sat up, noticing he was still on the roof "
The hell was that?...whatever...must have blacked out for a few minutes there" Shinzo made his way to his feet, the burning feeling in his chest gone as he sheathed his Zanpakuto and made his way back to the Seireitei...he needed to rest...so hitting the spa sounded like a good idea
