Hey guys, if I were to write up a Interest Check for a Firefly RP would any of you be interested in joining?
Sapphire Rode - Cafeteria

Sapphire felt slightly nauseated seeing what Aurellius did to his hand. While she didn't have a particular dislike of blood or guts, in fact they weren't really an unusual sight for her, the image of the boy digging into his own arm with a carefree nonchalant look on his face was enough to make her puke.

Thankfully she was able to fight down the gag reflect and soon enough Diamond had the wound covered with her handkerchief which Sapphire was glad off. Diamond quickly changed the subject, Sapphire guessed no one really wanted to dwell on what exactly Aurellius had just done to himself.

The view that Diamond took of a Huntress's job was an incredibly narrow one. Sure they were both trained and expect to fight the Grimm but that wasn't all they could or would do in there careers.

"If your sitting eating lunch with us is any indication the police aren't exactly effective. Tell me what would happen if someone as skilled as Goodwitch decided that the laws didn't apply to them anymore. Just took what they wanted, whenever they wanted. You think the police could deal with that? No of course not. They'd send another Hunter or Huntress to deal with the problem and that is precisely why we need to know how to fight humans cause the number of people who actually know how to use there auras and there semblance isn't exactly limited to those attending Beacon. And for the record a cops salary is a pittance compared to what Hunters make."

Sapphire had apparently run afoul of the partner to the boy she'd called simple. He was a bigger guy, she could take him down pretty easily given how slow he was and after watching his sparring match how uncompromising of tactics he'd been. No matter what had happened all he had done was shoot at his opponent even with the arena exploding around him. She thought his name was Ivan.

Sapphire could have drawn her gun on him easy, it wouldn't have been particularly difficult but she'd already resolved to give her rib at least a weeks rest and besides some loud mouth who thought that victory just naturally belonged to him wasn't really worth her time.

She shrugged nonchalantly at his accusation that her teammates wanted nothing to do with her. It was true enough, her first impression hadn't exactly been exemplary and it wasn't like she really cared in the first place. "So I'm not naturally gifted with social grace. At least I can do more than just fire my gun over and over and over again without considering that my opponent might actually adapt to that tactic. By the way I really enjoyed your fight watching you get smacked around by someone half your weight was the biggest laugh I've had in a good long while."

Sapphire could have said a lot more on the matter but she was interrupted when a large white object came flying through the air aimed directly at there table. Sapphire didn't have time to register exactly who or what it was, the moment it made contact with the Sapphire slapped her wrist bracelets together activating Morpheus and Phobator, which she'd retrieved after sparring class.

The second the object was down Sapphire realized it was a person and aimed for a weak spot closest to her. She grabbed the person's arm applying Morpheus directly to the wrist just over a major vein. It was then she looked up and realized who it was. Sapphire sat back down in her seat collapsing her daggers back into there leather bands. "Ah fuzzball, you looking to get yourself killed?" Sapphire rolled her eyes. What could she possibly have done in her life that she would be punished with this idiot for a teammate. "If you'd wanted to offer us food you could have, I-don't-know, walked over here and asked like a normal person. Then again your landing looks like it sent everyone's lunches to the floor so we might as well take your leftovers."

Sapphire herself had lost the remainder of her milk which was currently pooling in the cracks of the table as well as her sandwiches. Everyone else's lunches were in varying states of disarray. Tiger boy's semblance must have really fried his brain but good to have him thinking that launching himself halfway across the lunch room was in any way a good idea.

She turned to look at Ivan who seemed to think that Shiro and the others being generous was somehow a commentary on her being unable to control her team. "Aww, come on Ivy if they want to be generous who am I to stand in the way?"
If you want suggestions I've got a couple. Semblance: Hawk's Eye Sixth Sense Omnipotent Sight Shield: Aegis, The shield of Athena which has Medusa's head imprinted upon it. Strikes fear into all that see it, was later given as tribute to Zeus. Svalinn, a shield which stands before the sun and protects earth from burning (Norse mythology). Ancile, the shield of the Roman war god Mars. Spear: Ascalon, the spear that St. George used to kill the dragon. Vel, a divine javelin associated with Hindu war god Karthikeya.
The lunch tables aren't team specific and Sapphire isn't really all that friendly with her own team.
@Prince of Seraphs Oi, sorry, didn't notice sapphire talking to Dee X(
Forsythe
I also never noticed @Prince of Seraphs.
SirBeowulf
What am I invisible?
@Prince while we're on the subject, 'Abel' is not spelled with a 'd'. I haven't seen you bring up his name IC in a while, so I don't know if you're still doing that.
Lugubrious
I know, I keep posting it like that cause Sapphire isn't actually aware of what his name is. She making the best guess on something that doesn't really concern her overly.
A chuckle was elicited from the man as he caught wind of whatever the other two at their table had been talking about. Something about their own semblances. He had no clue why the girl had joined their table, but he shrugged, letting Diamond speak to them for a few moments. He began his own little show as Saphire left.
SirBeowulf
Hey Beowulf, firstly Sapphire is still at the table she didn't go anywhere. Second Sapphire is spelled with two Ps, Sapphire.

"Diamond right?" Sapphire asked her name before continuing to respond to her question. "The whole point of those sparring matches is that they weren't fair, there were no rules besides a basic time limit and some stuff to prevent anyone from getting really hurt. When the real fights come no one is going to care if there semblance is more battle worthy or fair then yours, they're going to try and kick you ass anyway they can and that was exactly what Glynda wanted to see in these sparring matches. If you aren't going to give it your all then Beacon isn't the place for you."

Sapphire continued to ate listening to conversations that were starting all around them. Diamond's response to her question about foster care peaked her interest. Sapphire had known a number of street kids, not well given how untrustworthy they were but well enough to know that not many of them ever gave up anything freely or without gain for themselves and that included personal information. The answer that Diamond gave her seemed carefully chosen and mostly devoid of any real information, it was the kind of response that Sapphire usually gave when asked about her family. It meant that Diamond was hiding something a lot deeper but then again it wasn't really any of Sapphire's business. While finishing her mashed potatoes Sapphire decided not to comment.

The next conversation Sapphire became interested in was the one a few boys were having a couple of seats away, mostly giving excuses for why they had lost there sparring matches. The thing that really caught Sapphire's attention however was when one of the boys questioned why they needed to learn how to fight humans when there enemy was the Grimm.

Sapphire was almost incredulous. "Hey kid," she said tapping him on the shoulder. "Are you stupid or just plain simple?" She asked. It was impossible that he could actually think that the only thing they would ever fight in there life was the Grimm. "Of course we need to know how to fight humans. The Hunters aren't the only ones with semblance or the power of aura and not everyone uses that ability for good. What happens when we have to face off against a group like the White Fang or a criminal organization of aura users. If you don't know how to fight your fellow humans you won't last day."

Sapphire went back to her lunch.
Well I've changed my classes before in real life school several times, so I don't see how it would be that different. So as Co-GM, I shall use my powers to grant you the ability to change classes whenever you see fit. That is until Lugu comes here to wack me upside the head and tell me I've overstepped my boundaries.
Guess Who
You know I'm a Co-GM too right? In school of course you can drop one class and pick up another easy but I want to know if I could take music one day, english the next, and computers after that and just choose between all the options of one period from day to day depending on how Sapphire feels. Or like right now she'd got a broken rib so she might not want to take PE and instead opt for (Target) Practice but once her rib heals she may want to take PE instead. Can I mix and match as the mood strikes me?

Sapphire smiled a bit at Oswald's refusal to divulged the functions of his semblance. Even now he was on guard, they were after all from different teams. It was more than conceivable that they might end up fighting side by side but it was equally likely that they would again be forced to face off against each other again. Whether it was in a routine sparring match like today's combat class or in something more guerrilla style like in the Emerald Forest. Of course it wasn't like he knew the specifics of her semblance either. From the information he could have gathered during there last match his best guess would have been that she could become invisible which was close and yet so very far from the truth.

Sapphire couldn't be sure if he meant the challenge seriously or if it was just a way to avoid giving up his semblance but it didn't matter to her, if he wanted another fight she'd give him one. "That a promise?" She asked with a certain fire behind her eyes.

As she listened to Merlin's explanation of dust Sapphire continued eating. It was as far as she could tell accurate but incredibly dumbed down. Likely because he assumed there was no one at the table that actually had any experience with dust. He probably thought they just bought there ammunition and didn't give the substance another thought.

"That's not exactly all there is too it. Raw dust as he says is quite unstable but it is also more powerful. Dust rounds while they aren't likely to explode on your belt don't quite have the same power as raw dust does. Then again even for someone trained it is very easy to lose control of unrefined dust. There is a certain mental component to it and it packs a hell of a punch but it is very very simple for the storm that your controlling to become a force trying to destroy you. It's like owning an untamed dog, it might protect you or it might bite your hand off." After that Sapphire cracked open her milk and took a long swig before starting in on her mashed potatoes.
Hey, when choosing classes is this a permanent set up. Like if I choose music for sixth am I stuck with it for the rest of the semester?
