The song! I like Don McLean's music. :D

Bye bye miss American Pie, drove my Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry. Them good old boys drinking whisky and rye, singing this'll be the day that I die, this'll be the day that I die.
Depending on what happens I might have Sapphire drop her sixth period class in favor of something more informative. The way it's looking Music isn't really in the right format for her particular band of musical talent.
I think Lug said your allowed to change courses after the first day.
Do the contests have to pertain to our characters specifically? Do that writing assignments always have to be: 'if your character was in this situation' or 'if that happened to your character'

Also Lug, it's your turn on the Zelda RP, has been for awhile.
If we were going to create a contest does it have to pertain in some way to the World of Remnant?
Also, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is intense. I'm fairly more concerned over Spike's feels with Buffy (and her rejection over him ;3; makes me wanna give him a hug. Spike noooo) than this issue with Glory. >_> There's only a few seasons left, like when are you two going to get together? >:(

Season 6 and it is incredibly unhealthy.
What are complaining about? Your character isn't even in Music class.
Hey Shadowkiller, no offense but the band that you seem to be putting together seems rather short sighted and limited, the sections that you seem to have chosen to portray completely ignore string instruments which encompasses all of the instruments our class is currently able to play except the saxophone and harmonica. Sapphire's musical abilities are a huge part of her character and I'm not about to change that because you seem to think woodwind instruments are more important than string.
I saw this problem a lot as a Marine. There were plenty of giant muscle-bound meatheads who could barely run a mile. The protein guzzlers would just lift heavy with the sole goal of 'getting big' but their cardiovascular strength would fail as a result of not doing any cardio exercises whatsoever. I believe someone described it to me as the difference between muscle strength - how much a muscle could exert effort towards in one repetition, and muscle endurance - the ability for the muscle to repeatedly conduct an action over and over without tiring and with relatively good speed. EDIT: There also is a such thing as over-training, when you work your body too hard to the point where it goes into this emergency panic mode and begins to eat itself and break itself down in an attempt to keep you alive.

That generally happens when the amount of training your doing is disproportionate to the nutrients you are taking in. So if someone goes on an extreme workout routine without increasing there caloric intake or without consuming the proper nutrients that will allow there muscles to recover then the body will as you say enter a panic mode in which it will break down other muscles in order to free up the necessary nutrients. As far as exercise is concerned if you want to increase your endurance, speed, reaction times, and range of movement basketball is actually a pretty good way to go. Not that there is anything wrong with weight lifting of course but that is only if you are doing other forms of exercise along side it and taking a healthy enough break in between training different muscle groups. Anyways, Sixsmith, if you have us work out like that last OOC post suggests (I'm hoping most of it was in jest) then Sapphire is going to refuse and bring these things up IC.
Nope

NOPE

YOU HAVE TO DO ALL THE HARD WORK.

I WON'T TAKE WIMPY BASKETBALL FOR AN ANSWER. YOU HAVE TO SWEAT. RUN. DO 1000 PULL UPS AND PUSH UPS AND SIT UPS. THIS IS BEACON. THIS ISN'T SOME CHEAP ASS PUBLIC SCHOOL. YOUR ONLY FUTURE IS BEING A HUNTER, SO I HAVE TO PREPARE YOU. MAKE YOU ALL STRONGER D:< D:< D:< D:< D:< D:<

Too much training is actually counter productive. Maybe not for tanks like Ivan but for faster characters like mine.

Have you ever seen a body builder, they've got all that muscle racked up from the exact kind of training you seem intent on but they would fail horribly in sports like boxing. You know why? Because having all that muscle is actually impeding there body from moving the way it should. They can't extent there arms with sufficient speed and while they might have a massive amount of endurance no one that undergoes that kind of training would be able to swing themselves over a wall or do any sort of intricate climbing maneuvers. That kind of training gives you a lot of power but very little dexterity which is essential to most of the people in PE class at the moment. The characters that could afford to train like that took other classes cause there already that buff.
