Alright, I got an idea, though it does involve Gren doing (Well, did) some heavy renovations to their dormitory. Gren's computer is huge, and as sturdy as him. He could have arranged to replace one of the bottom bunks with his rig, while also setting up a bunk above his computer. Don't worry about the weight damaging his computer; it can handle it. Now that just means someone else is sleeping on the top bunk. Gren never slept in a bed yet, and even if he did I doubt anyone would want his 300lb ass hanging over them.

A quirk about Gren that IC his team likely already know but might have just now been revealed, but he prefers to sleep sitting. Reclining in a chair perhaps, most still sitting.

Well I guess we could swap it so Abel's above Sapphire and Gren's computer is below Shiro.

As for the bed situation, I also assumed out dorm set up was more like Team JNPR than RWBY. Regardless there are only three beds since Gren replaced his for his rig and workbench. Compensation for bringing his big computer into their door and taking up floor space.

Except we've been writing this entire time as though the room was set up with bunk beds and yours was one of the ones on top. So you wouldn't be taking up any extra room with your bed and I don't think there would be any physical way to replace a top bunk with a computer rig.

He was in what looked to be a dormitory. He found that he sat in the top bunk of one of the two bunk beds in the room.

Sapphire made it to the dorms and pushed the door open to there's. It was a fairly spacious room with two bunk beds, and a large window.

Sapphire sat bolt upright in bed, for a moment she didn't know where she was and on gut instinct she activated one of her daggers stabbing directly upwards into the mattress above her. In a moment she came back to her senses, today was the first day of classes. Sapphire hopped out of bed, She looked at the bed above her. The dagger had slid easily enough out of the mattress but Sapphire was relieved to see that no one was occupying the bunk. She’d have stabbed them right through the back if there had been anyone there.

I don't know about you Lug but far as I can tell the rest of us have been writing as if we have bunk beds. I know I certainly have as far back as this chapter started.

That could be my mistake but I distinctly remember on the first night after the infirmary incident that Gren couldn't find Sapphire cause her semblance was active as she slept so he went off to look for her the entire night. That morning Sapphire woke up from a nightmare by activating her daggers and stabbing into the bunk above her. Which means that had to have been Gren's bunk otherwise someone wouldn't taken two blades to the back.

Gren chose to remove his bed and instead got himself a nice set up for his computer. It was quite massive, with his keyboard, mouse, and monitor build into the rig, but despite it's bulk it was quite advanced.

I'm not sure if you've forgotten but the dorms are equipped with bunk beds Sapphire and Shiro got the bottom bunks. Gren's bed would be over Sapphire's so I don't really know exactly where you put your massive computer rig.

Then that's really good for you. You're a lot more emotionally well adjusted than anyone I know. That's still the reason that Shiro and Sapphire clash to violently.

You've never been in one of those moods? Like you just got fired or missed out on a promotion or someone swiped the last copy of a game you've been waiting a year to play and you just feel like taking a sledgehammer to something? Cause if you haven't let me tell you that then encountering someone whose cheerful about everything just makes you want to scream (misery loves company).

No one else sees Shiro's nature as a problem other then Gren cause no one else has to go on missions with him. Everyone else is perfectly aware of how much of an idiot he is but they think it's funny an adorable cause they're not the ones in danger if he does something stupid in the field. Sapphire as well as being annoyed by him sees that as a problem and Gren always the strategist sees the dangers of that. Abel's too much of a defeatist to think past how he could be improving his own performance let alone everyone else's.
