Sapphire Rode - Deli N'Doul

Sapphire was not feeling particularly comfortable. She didn't altogether like large crowds. Four or five people were already but this was shaping up to be a grouping of more than twice that. The azure haired girl ate her sandwich in silence. The door was very close, she could always make a run for it. As this train of thought was running through her mind Shiro appeared and tackled/attacked/hugged Gren. Startled Sapphire shoved her chair back standing and drawing her weapons quickly before she could properly realize what had happened.

Seconds later when she realized it was the furball acting the fool Sapphire sat back down with a notably sigh of contempt. Why couldn't he show some self control. It couldn't be that difficult. The pill bottle rose to the surface of Sapphire's mind again and she considered perhaps that for him it might be. Then again someone who relied on medication to be able to filter their actions had no business at a school for warriors.

As Gren started talking about having a night on the town after school that day Sapphire momentarily considered it. If everyone here was invited then she didn't really want to go. Of course the dynamic between her and the rest of her teammates was not exactly a good one. After her outburst on the airship and the fiasco of there first mission getting them to trust the fact that she did indeed know what she was doing might be more important than her personal discomfort. As much as she might not like to admit it her graduation from Beacon was reliant on these people for better or worse. However she had to draw a line somewhere.

"My Uncle's bar is a rather exclusive establishment. I don't think he'd welcome fifteen rowdy teenagers tearing it up." This was only a mild stretch of the truth. The Music Box was a hunters bar, generally speaking Daniel only let Beacon seniors and fully fledged hunters in but if Sapphire asked him to he'd admit her friends like he had for Oswald, Emerald and Diamond last night. The Music Box was a part of Sapphire's childhood, and at least for the moment she didn't want anyone else to see it. She'd trusted Oswald enough and he'd dragged half of his team with him. She wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Now that she thought about it how did Gren know about her uncle's bar. Even if he was aware of the Music Box there was no familial link between Daniel and herself. It was known for anyone who was interested in finding out that Daniel and her father had a history together and that Daniel was a Rode family friend but Sapphire knew of no way that Gren would know she referred to Daniel as "uncle". That was unless someone told him. Gren wasn't exactly close with Team Codex, they wouldn't have mentioned it in passing she didn't think. Was Gren looking into her? That wasn't a conversation worth bringing up right now but Sapphire decided to keep a closer eye on the boar faunus. Something about him made her uneasy.

Eight's brain was shaken out of self diagnostic mode by an almighty crash. He opened his eyes. The T-40 was just as he'd left it, deactivated. Johanna Hawkins on the other hand was not. She lay on the ground several feet from the battle droid only semi-conscious. Eight's foggy brain identified the sound that had awakened him as a rupturing plasma conduit. He could picture in his mind, with no instructions from him to guide in the safe deactivation of the T-40 Johanna Hawkins had instead taken out her weapon and shot it. Eight could almost see the plasma relay next to the flow control bursting as it was hit.

Eight looked around with difficulty but Krull was no where to be seen. It was up to him to get them somewhere safer than this while the fighting abated. Eight struggled to his feet making a mental note as he did so to never activate an EMP device while he was in range. He felt truly terrible. Despite this however he managed to make his way over to Johanna. The fighting was still going on, if they were to survive in there present condition they needed somewhere to hide.

Eight would have taken her to the medical bay, somehow pirates never seemed to expect there to be people there during a raid, only after. However as the Babylon IV was both a small transport ship and generally considered disposable by the company that contracted it, it did not actually possess a dedicated medical facility.

Instead Eight hobbled over to Johanna, though he was weakened Eight's skeletal and muscular implants granted him greater strength compared to unaltered humans. He still had the strength to carry Johanna. With her in his arms Eight hid them both in one of the storage rooms of the Babylon. It was almost an hour before the Captain's voice was heard over the intercom system of the three ships calling for a cease fire.

When the Babylon landed on planet Eight picked Johanna up again and carried her over to the Alamo. He could feel several of his implants deactivating to consider power. He needed to return to the Aurora for a regeneration cycle rather soon. Eight took Johanna to the medical bay on board the Alamo and left her in the capable hands of Starfire doctors. Then he returned to his ship. As he entered the cargo bay he spotted several other fighters most with there pilots doing maintenance.

If he had been in peak operating capacity his mind would have almost instantly categorized each of the ships present but he was in no state for that at the moment. Instead Eight released the lockout on the Aurora and stumbled into the small medical bay that housed his regeneration unit. He instructed the computer to run a complete realignment cycle which lasted eight hours instead of his usual six. As the Aurora's computer systems zynced with Eight's neural circuitry a wave of emptyness and calm sweap over him. regeneration was the closest thing Eight ever got to peace.

Looking for another opinion. I've always had a problem with the "official" timeline for Zelda that Nintendo released. Mainly the "downfall of the hero" branch of it. At the start of that branch the Hyrule Historia says:

Link is defeated by Ganondorf during the final battle of "Ocarina of Time". After this, Ganondorf obtains all three pieces of the Triforce. Led by Princess Zelda, the people of Hyrule manage to seal Ganon and the Triforce in the Sacred Realm.
Hyrule Historia

Except I'm playing A Link to the Past and this minute I'm looking at one of the Seven Sages telling me:

If a person with an evil heart gets the Triforce, a Hero is destined to appear and he alone must face the person who unleashed the Great Cataclysm. If the evil one destroys the hero, nothing can save the world from his wicked reign.
Third Sage ALTTP

Nothing in this case apparently meaning Princess Zelda and the People of Hyrule.
People confuse irony with coincidence a lot.

For instance if someone's therapist died and there death what the person needed the therapist to help work through. That would not be ironic only coincidental and kinda tragic.

It would be ironic if the death of the therapist made the guy feel better.

My examples of stuff get morbid when I'm tired.
