Because we're expendable, Ivy thought when she heard what Oliver said. She only nodded in response to Vlad; seemed like an okay deal to her, she knew what she signed up for.
She was more concerned about Oliver saying they were the most dangerous juvenile criminals. The most. Did that mean her brother was dead? He would be about nineteen now; was he just too old? She supposed she wouldn't know either way.

Experimental Army

Ivy chose not to speak to the man, at least not until spoken to. She wanted to seem as cooperative and obedient as possible.

@Fubsy Just curious about where you stand on the whole "Coopercella" thing. Like I said, I'm kind of mixed/neutral about it, I'd rather see where the story goes more than anything. :D

Cooper stopped for a moment to let Marcella catch up with her. She gave her a reassuring smile; she was perfectly calm about this. She knew who she was, where she was from, and where she was going; this was just another day for her. She hoped that her being so relaxed about it all would calm down the clearly nervous Marcella, at least a little bit.

Cooper stood from her chair and followed Max, wondering if he would be able to trick the machine or not.

Ivy turned to face the man, and was immediately unimpressed by his appearance. She guessed that he was in charge, though, mostly by the way he carried himself. She glanced once more back at David before straightening up in her chair and facing the man.

I super agree with the second thing, but the first thing about Coopercella... I dunno. I'm mixed at this point. Cooper isn't very romantic in general, but who knows? I'd rather see how this all plays out before setting anything in stone. :D

Cooper eyed Maxwell with some suspicion, but didn't want to embarrass him... at least not directly. "It can be tricked?" she asked, with maybe a touch too much fake curiosity. Why else would he bring it up, she thought, if that wasn't his plan?

Cooper felt like tearing up, and almost reflexively started to laugh. "To Hell with them!" she said victoriously. She was cackling and tearing up and she felt great. It was weird being surrounded by so many different people and not feeling like an outcast, it was weird and it was amazing. "I wish every day was like this, don't you?" she asked them, glancing around to each of them, starting at Marcella, then Daniella, and her eyes landing finally on Maxwell.
