I am still trying to figure what I want to do with Quill.

I also have to ask who has not been invited that would show up, for either OOC or IC reasons. I can only speak for my characters but Ferron respond would probably be "I may show up for the second one if that there ever occurs." and Quill pretty much only wanted to go because he wasn't invited.

For a few brief, fleeting moments, Quill was content. The nagging, bothersome questions had ended. All that was left was a tranquil horse ride across the ice and snow. The stranger had also given him a name, Renvo. He doubted that was his real name, but Quill was never much for real names, even barring the current situation. A chosen name always felt more important than a given name.

Then, Renvo ruined the whole scene. He had to bring up the end of the journey. Quill never minded having a journey come to an end, but he never really liked to talk about it before it happened. Quill also tended to avoid the machinations of the gods, they were always to messy and complicated. However, his curiosity had started to get the better of him, however it was going to get further entangled into this mess, he would need great protection against detection.

As they traveled across this land, Quill used his divine presence in order to sneakily weave power into his clothing so that no being could see his true nature. He would love to change his eye color, but Renvo had already seen his true eye color. Not only that, but he simply did not know how. However the power of travel is forever fleeting, but it should last at least a day or two.

While a part of him wanted to simply see him part ways without any consequences, a greater part of him wanted to see what lurked ahead.

He began to casually speak to himself with full intention for Renvo to hear him, "I am fearful my journey would end in an abrupt manner. Maybe it would be better for the relic to be lost to time itself, but what if a cruel or mad god had managed to obtain it. I am fearful of what they made do with my master's tool. But how is one mortal suppose to oppose the will of the god."

He then paused, and feigned as though he had caught himself speaking aloud, "I am sorry, was I speaking aloud. Sometimes my lips follow where ever my mind wanders to. It such a bad habit."

With Quill, I am mostly just going with the flow, and have some vague ideas of where I want to take his story.

But with Ferron, the plan is that I am just going to have a summary post at the end of the time-skip where he has set up the infrastructure for the dwarven colony to be able to function without him around, and this is going to lead into him starting to interact with the other gods and start to pull them into the project.
Right now, neither of my gods trust Gammaton. Ferron, because he trusts nobody, and Quill because he values freedom above all else, and the law is just a barrier between him and what he wants to do.

Quill was smiling as the trinket was thrown into the air. He often enjoyed his own creations. However, he was internally screaming. Perhaps this was the time to tell the truth, however he already gotten this far. In addition, this was no time for hesitation, he would need to move forward and worry about the pesky consequences later.

He needed a god who would foolishly give gifts to mortals, and then possibly forget about that mortal. Which sounded like something that he might have done, but he couldn't use his own divine name. By time the horse had fully formed, he had constructed his story. He was pleased that stranger focused on the gift and the god, and then he was asked what his name was. In his haste, he forgotten about a human name.

He reached for the other man's hand to help him on the mount. He could easily mount a horse. He could also fly if he had wanted, but that seemed inappropriate at the moment. He used this brief time to think back to his former travel companions. Most of their names were a blur, but one stood out and he surely would not mind him borrowing his name, "My name is Gerald."

He then remembered that while he taken that name from a human, that human originated in a different place than here. Location was sometime a difficult concept for Quill to grasp, however he could work it into his story, "I am sorry for my deceptions, but I hope you see they were necessary. The truth is that I am rather far from home. The gifts bestowed upon come from the most generous god, Ral. My worship is the reason that I have ventured so far north. I had heard rumor that one of his most divine relics was hidden within the frozen landscape. As a loyal follower, it is my duty to ensure that such a powerful relic is not abused. I did not know if you were in possession of the artifact, and that I still don't know. However, if you do have it in your possession, it must be in good hands."
From Anu relationships : "Iarus- "Oh Deception, so honest with what it is."

One of the first thing Iarus does in the story is that he changes his domain to something completely different.
Well, right now they were made with divine power of deception, and now there god is attuned to fear.

Something else I am curious about that might can't be answered OOC is what happened to the domain of deception. What exactly is a domain.

Quill acted as though he thought a mortal should, though doing so saddened him a bit. There was a lingering thought that he had was imitating those mortal who learned about his divine nature and never quite treated him the same after. However he had no time for meddlesome thoughts, and merely pushed them away into some deep corner of his mind. He was mostly silent, except to quietly thank him for the safe passage. He tried to avoid eye-contact, except whenever the other man engaged it.

Whenever the entity showed how strong it was, that it was either a god or an avatar of one, another nagging doubt entered Quill's mind. There was warning bells in his mind telling him that could go terribly wrong, however there was also a deep curiosity about where this was leading. And so he followed the god or godling.

Travelling should have made him at ease, however he felt something that he had never felt before while on a simple walk, anxiety. The blizzard was of little concern to him, however as they traveled his doubt and curiosity mingled together to create this most awful of feelings, and while normally he could go on walks for decades without issue, he simply wanted this journey to be over-quickly. However he could not use his divine power, not overtly.

He begin to think of a solution to this problem, and he remember how the god keep looking at his eyes for some reason. And then he remembered that golden eyes were not a natural occurrence. At first this caused him to internal panic for a second, but then he realized that this work to his advantage. While the god was preoccupied, he had quickly and stealthily created a bag attached to a belt hidden under his heavy furs.

He meekly called out to the authoritative stranger, "I see that you are curious about my oddly colored eyes. I was suppose to keep this a secret." he said, before creating an exaggerated paused, "You seem trustworthy. I have had an encounter with a god in which they deemed it appropriate to reward me with these gold eyes, however they also granted me another gift." he said.

He slowly and carefully pulled out the bag that he had just created, and pulled a tiny figure out before going to handing it to the stranger. "It is a divine artifact, you throw it on the ground and it creates a strange creature called a horse, that adapts to where ever you are. I was too scared to try this before, but the god said that riding on the horse was much faster than walking."

He then quickly looked away, as he was trying to desperately create a story should the stranger inquire further, perhaps he should have done that before he had handed him to the figurine, but he would have to make due.

Is it possible to split two divine chords once they have fused, and if that is true, can you split a single divine chord into two weaker divine chords.

Quill was preoccupied with his own half-formed thoughts, he did not even notice the gargoyle that had landed near him. He was stirred from his thoughts when he heard some shout. He quickly glanced around, and noticed the construct and the authoritative stranger. It hardly took a second for Quill to adapt, as he had wandered into something more interesting.

He felt the air begin to chill, however it took him a moment to react, as he begin to shiver and bundle his arms around his chest. He had traveled with many humans, and he grown accustomed to imitating their mannerism. He begin to shout towards the figure, and slowly approach him as though he was truly impeded by the snow and wind, "Help, it seems as though as I have gotten lost. I was sure it would only take a moment to regain my bearings, but as I focusing, this monstrosity had sneaked upon on me." He did his best to feign fear and desperation, and if you would ask Quill he would say he did so masterfully. However, Quill had claimed many things that were not quite truthful.

He paused, and slightly stumbled for effect, "I am just a hunter." he said, padding his travelling clothes as though he was looking for something. His hand motions became more frantic as he did not find anything. "Oh no. Oh no. I must had dropped my gear. How will I feed my village." he once again paused. He then looked towards the ground and took a deep breath. "Azhriel have mercy on my soul."

While Quill's actions may confound the priests of the other gods, his followers would know exactly why he acted as though he did. He was bored, and so he did something that would relieve his boredom, even if just for a moment.
