Not true, counter is nullified if the unit in question is killed.

True, forgot about that. Good thing Lethality has one of the smallest trigger % rates in the game with Skill/4.

I refuse to play against that. Lethality on it's own is bad enough, but that's outright cheese-mongering cheating.

Yes but as an Axe using Lord, you'll have access to Counter, so he'll kill himself with that Lethality as well.
I was just making sure that it was known that it should be that way.

You're right, I shouldn't have used that example. I just wanted to explain how diaries should not contradict each other when noone has acted to change the future. Also, lets all stop the whole argument and just pretend we never happened. And ooh ooh, I was thinking of a 'mission' diary! All the entries will be based the current 'mission'. E.g. to investigate X person. The diary entries are 1-2 lines explaining different checkpoints of a mission. Sorta like entry 1: "Stalking X was a failure. Lost him when he got off the bus. 6.35PM", entry 2: "Discovered X's address by hacking into the local police database. 9:50PM."It'd be really powerful and useful for completing objectives. The drawback would be that it only predicted stuff related to the mission. It might give an entry like "Killed when chasing after X. 4:30PM." so I could avoid death but entries would stop there unless I resumed activities and acted to achieve the mission. To receive new entries, I can abandon the mission but afterwards I can no longer take up the same mission. So if 'investigating X failed' so I could receive new entries, I can no longer take up 'investigating X' as a mission again.I think its pretty unique and sounds balanced.

It seems like you already got a good balance on it, but I'd like to reinforce that a diary like that should not be able to tell you how to complete the prediction, only that it was done. So for "learned about X by hacking database Y" shouldn't tell you how to get to that data base or how to hack it.
What character ideas is everyone going to use? I have an elven wizard rolled up already, and I know Mercury has a halfling rouge rolled up (we rp together outside of this forum). I don't know about him but I would be willing to roll someone new if someone else REALLY wanted to be our damage-dealing mage.
I would have to sit on a character idea before I make up a theme for their diary. In my opinion, the diary needs to compliment who the character is as a human being, not the other way around. I'd want to fully finish my CS before I make the diary.

Jester and Sunshine, I'm pretty sure that Sunshine's idea was already down voted. And to be honest, I also like Animus' idea more than my own. But seeing how the OP hasn't decided on one of the three ideas, continuing to debate about it or other personal matters is completely useless. We've all argued our sides and players have chosen their sides. All we can do now is wait, if we're going to be playing together, let's not be at each other's throats about demeanor during a heated debate.
Back to the Diary discussion, obviously coming up with our own designs is the best route, but if it suits a character's persona, I think using a style of Diary in the anime that fits should be ok. The cellphone Diaries should be a default if anything.

I was thinking the player characters be human, but this forest can be populated by a multitude of races.E.G: Forest Elves, Orcs, Trolls and various beastsHowever the players could also encounter some friendly characters of another race at some point

I'd kinda really want to be an elf.

Also, regarding the subject."Dark fantasy is a subgenre of fantasy which can refer to literary, artistic and filmic works that combine fantasy with elements of horror. The term can be used broadly to refer to fantastical works that have a dark, gloomy atmosphere or a sense of horror and dread.[1]" - Wikipedia

That sounds like the best type of fantasy.

I'll gladly take those generals if I get to have Astra, Lethality, Aether, Ignis and one other new skill that has yet to be revealed all on one character ending on a high-skill class. Yes, that's possible in this RP.

Don't give away my secrets bro
Playing with public predictions will feel more like we're collectively writing a fan-fiction than playing an rp where we are challenged to perform well and stay alive. I must agree that our discussion has gotten us some attention (which is always good) but just like you, I'm sticking to my guns.
In the OOC tomorrow you'll see how in depth character creation really is. I'm sure most of your "can i have this" questions will be answered by it.
