@Bushman501

Agreed, injuring him is unavoidable at this point if God's holy light can't calm him, we will have to somehow physically cripple him before attempting anything.
@Bushman501 It would work, I could heal it after, but the mouth and wings will injure it further if it struggles, and the problem about collapsing trees is that a stray branch could impale the dragon and accidentally kill it, I'm not sure however if the scales of this dragon is like that of Smaug, like iron that won't let anything through or if they were like the dragons from animations and stuff that would die from arrow shot and swords.

I would like to propose perhaps an explosion that would knock him out but not kill him, like a concussion, minimal damage, no bleeding, no struggle.
It should heal under the light, but it's going to be quite hard to battle a dragon without unintentionally killing it, good thing Aeris is quite adept with a sword, otherwise he would've never become a knight during the crusades.
Aeris felt what Julia felt, his connection to the entirety of all life, something was clearly off, he spoke to himself quietly, but not quiet enough, as the person behind him, Gunter, to hear, as if wanting to pass the message down the line.

"Something is amiss in this forest, I can feel it, something malevolent."

He drew his sword and summoned the spear, as the purple barrier surprised him for a moment, he heard Julia say:

"Change of plans. We're going to visit the Guardian of the Forest, Rethynth. Stay on guard, there's something about this forest I cannot put my finger on."

So he was right, something was off, the spirits of this forest, were corrupted by something, and by the time they reached the Guardian, the huge green dragon, the fire of his soul did not burn calmly as his warriors arose from the ground.

He took Julia's warning into account and said, "I shall keep him busy then" with his sword already drawn, he threw his spear at the warriors and shouted.

"DEUS VULT!" As he charged in slicing apart droves of these warriors, fighting as ferociously as a knight, shoving, head butting, chopping off limbs and heads, as he reached the middle he spread his wings and lifted off the ground as the wind generated from his lift off knocked down many of the warriors he could not deal with alone, as he rose he summoned and threw his spear narrowly missing the great dragon attempting to get his attention.

"I AM HERE! FIGHT ME IN THE NAME OF GOD!" he did this to pull the dragon's attention away from the others, as far as he knew, he was the only one who could fly and actively keep him busy in the sky on a level plane, this would buy the others time to find a way to bring him to his senses and deal with the other warriors.

Although with this plan, he could also attempt to see if God could calm him with the light of heaven, he started whispering the holy prayer as he rose to fight the giant creature, the light started to shine out from the sky, but the prayer needs to be fully incanted for the full effect, Aeris could feel the strain but it was strain he was used to. He only had a few plans up his sleeves if the light of heaven doesn't work then the people bellow should be able to find some way to calm him down and if they stay within the light they should feel it's rejuvenating properties, healing wounds and alleviating fatigue, until then he was locked in combat with Rethynth the Dragon Guardian, and the people bellow locked in combat with the Guardian's warriors, one could only hope for the best outcome.
*whistles* Damn this is starting off well.
Aeris listened to what the others had to say, patiently waiting for his answers, he looked at the man that spoke right after him, making it snow, excited, arrogant, his comment on what time is as a construct of mortal perception is both true and false, a topic for another time and useless in the current situation.

The next who spoke up, a soldier, Gunter, his armor and his helmet it was clear even by the way he spoke, he could even determine whether or not he was an officer of some sort and it seems he shared the same questions Aeris had, he carried himself professionally and kept his calm even in the midst of a colorful range of characters.

And after Gunter the blood covered woman known as Patricia, he wasn't exactly elated at the sight of blood, it reminded him of how he died, alone, fending for himself, abandoned during the crusades.

Then his eyes fell upon the human named D'ren, it was clear in eyes that he was guilty of lust, the way he looked at Patricia was enough to give him the impression, not to mention the way he was dressed.

But it is when Angela spoke, he found some sense, someone who reclarified the situation everyone was in, quite attentive, thoughtful, and focused, her questions only added on to Aeris's.

When Dante spoke his voice had a sarcastic tone as he asked about their options which was in a nutshell, help or everything and everyone dies horrid deaths, unnecessary but humor is needed in times of gloom and doom.

And lastly Zara, who wanted answers, and she wanted them at that moment, it seemed reasonable, all these questions in the past few minutes of talking and still no answer.

Suddenly the girl in the middle burst in anger towards Ming as she stated her age, surprising twenty years of age and she still looked like a child, afterwards she gave them the information they needed as she beckoned them to follow her into the forest, but again Ming spoke up bringing up decent questions, if none had appeared in this realm how does she know what the cracks are? and furthermore, is she really in charge or is there someone else behind this task?

Pressing questions, yet, as time grew shorter for the mortals, these were questions for another time as he sheathed his sword and his wings raised from in front of him to fold behind his back, drooping like a cape as he walked to follow her without a word as he still had a duty to act upon, a holy charge he could not disobey, to repent for the sins of his past and wipe clean his slate.
I just realized that Aeris has a completely empty history of before he died, leaving his sins and how he died in the crusades a mystery... Perhaps to be developed on a later date.
It was clear that one of them had angered the little girl in the middle, he glanced at Ming who arrogantly stated that she wanted to see an authority figure, yet she failed to see that "Child" had the power to summon nine people at once, without fatigue a feat nonetheless and only one achieved not of skill but practice; furthermore she wanted to stomp off back into her world shouting in rage that she was about to end a war as if that war held any significance, any weight compared to the threat at hand, a threat that puts every single mortal realm in danger, the sin of pride is rooted deeply into her soul.

Her world, their world, heaven itself, all realms will succumb to this threat and yet she could not be bothered to listen. In the middle the girl glowed a hot fiery red, this girl was more than she seemed. Aeris acted quickly but quietly and cast divine protection upon himself and everyone else in the room, this way if ever conflict arises and turns violent, no one would be severely injured.

He then spoke, breaking the monotony of his silence, the tone of his voice sullen.

"Your pride is blinding." As he turned his head to look at her, he continued.

"Every known realm... Or as mortals call them universes and dimensions are in danger, everything you've fought for will be wrought meaningless and yet you don't want to listen?" he glanced back at the girl in the middle and proceeded to ask her.

"What is the task at hand, and could you explain our situation further, such as what these 'cracks' are?" his tone shifted into one of inquisitive urgency as he carried on.

"Time is of the essence is it not?"
@The One How many people are there in the Circle now?
God heard the summon from the sea of prayer coming from the near future getting louder, he could easily stop it from happening, but his divine sight had beheld this premonition, a mortal realm was in danger, a need for an Arch Angel has arisen. He knew of many to take up this holy charge, but only one with the need of repentance.

"Aeris, the time for repentance has come, wash away your sins through combat."

Aeris Merth, the fallen knight ascended to Arch Angel after his pleas were heard by God. His burden to protect the Mortal Realms has come.

"Lord God, what is my charge?" He said, his voice rough and deep as he bowed a knee, both hands on his sword whose blade glistened in the holy light.

"A Mortal Realm is in Peril, I've seen it I've heard it, the danger comes soon, steel yourself for there is much ahead you will encounter. Fight, Strive, Survive, Save them all."

"Yes my lord, I shall do as you will, Deus Vult!"

A bright light emerged engulfing Aeris completely, he could still hear God's clairvoyant voice saying "The time has come." afterwards it fell silent.

When the light had disappeared he saw he was knelt in a circle of eight other people, in the middle of them all was a small child like girl in the middle.

He stood as his wings wrapped around him drooping down towards the tip of the sword as he held it from the cross guard and hilt. He looked around and stared at the small girl as he stood in stoic silence. He didn't ask 'Why' or 'How' he already knew why and how he got there, all he needed to know was 'Who' like 'who are these people?' or 'who is this little girl?', nevertheless he patiently waited for someone else to ask, if none would then he would.
