19th of June, maybe?
Unknown

Slowly, the inky blackness of the abyss began to fade away, but remaining ever present, shrouding the corners of the mind. In its stead, first came thoughts. Last Balazar knew, he was manning a harpoon gun about to fire, the "captains" voice shouting above the din. Mountains of thorns. A wave of power, threatening to tear the ship apart. And then the drop into the dark awaiting below, ready to swallow us whole. Then he could feel. He felt rough, or was he always like this? His thoughts disconnected and forming nothing. A pain crept it's way along his left side. It felt a dull pain and he ached. A weight bare itself across the plate on his back, and he could feel the heat of another body on his left. He could feel the side of his face and snout against the ground. Unmoving, real ground, they were no longer in the air. He felt he could open his eyes, but the darkness beckoned him into their embrace. He could just sleep. Suddenly the weight across his back lifted with a jerk, and the inky dark began to crawl back in.
"Spirits guide their essence to the otherworld, and grant them peace" He heard as his thoughts faded...

Everything came tumbling when he felt something on his arm. Something pulling his fur. His eyes opened, the inky darkness was gone now, at least in his mind but he remained still for a second, listening. He could hear a voice, Sharas voice and close. He sensed panic in her voice. Breaking any illusions of sleep, Balazar's hand shot out at the whatever was touching him and grabbed it. He looked up to see Shara kneeling over him, in his hand he held her wrist. Immediately, he loosened his grip but held on as he got his feet underneath him and tried to stand. A white, searing pain shot through along his left side. He grimaced as he stood up, putting some of his weight on Shira as he looked down at his wound. A rather large shard of metal was embedded in his left shoulder. The shard had pierced the plate and blood was seeping from the wound. Moving this arm would be hell. Removing his weight from Shira, he looked her over, noticing the gash along her leg.
"Lean on me if you have to." He spoke simply. As he gazed around at his surroundings for the first time. Shara must have been talking to someone. Bodies lay scattered along the ground they found themselves on, pieces of metal and wood dotted the landscape with them. Then he noticed the hulking suit of plate ahead of them. He let out a growl, few times had he seen a Mord and few times where they friendly. It was impossible to tell their intentions behind a face of plate, and he certainly hadn't seen one on board their ship.

His right hand instinctively went to the sword hilt in it's scabbard on his hip, relieved to find it still there. He watched the stranger carefully, awaiting their next move. It appeared it was crouching over a body. He glanced around at the immediate vicinity, noticing for the first time the ashen on the ground next to them.
"Wake him up, we may need him." He said somewhat quietly as he kept his eyes on the Mord.

Around us would there be the wreckage of our ships, or is it just us there? What of the mercenaries while we're on the subject?
@HeroicGathering
Read it, that's awesome, nothing wrong with him. Reflects the knights perfectly. :D

HISTORY & CULTURE
-History: A relatively young religious order forged during the crucible of war. The war between the kingdoms of Aldebaran and Varyon was a long and bloody affair before Dagon IVs rise to immense power and consequent conquest over Varyon. During those long bloody years, soldiers from either side pillaged and raided, taking advantage over those that could not defend themselves. The faithful and the innocent suffered, for this reason. The order arose from the chaos, a beacon and sanctuary to the faithful. Founded to provide care for the sick, poor and injured. Warriors and nobles who's faith was strong joined the order during it's infancy to fight for their faith, there was no greater calling than to fight for the Pantheon in righteousness and to defend those that could not defend themselves, these would become the first knights.

The first knights, sworn by oath to uphold their own and the orders honor and to protect the defenseless, cut out a swath of land around the Monastery of Eslen, fighting either side that would march on holy land. This would become the Principality of Eslen. A Principality forged through bloodshed and faith. Refugees sought the protection of the faith, flocking in large numbers towards Eslen as more and more religious nobles and soldiers joined the cause to fight in the Pantheons light. In the years that followed, the Principality gathered more power becoming a force to be reckoned with, supported by a large army of highly trained warriors and soldiers. However, it remained neutral during the war, dealing justice to those that deserved it, regardless of class and alignment. Cementing the place of the Pantheon in the realm, for a time. These were proof that the gods we're still watching.

During Dagon IVs flirt with darker powers and conquest over Varyon. The Principality denounced Dagon as a heretic of the faith. Openly going to war with his forces. After fifty years of war, the Principality has suffered. It's once renowned army of knights, reduced to much smaller numbers. Relying on it's militia formed from refugees with the heart to fight, and the Principalities Sergeants to make up the backbone of it's armed forces, the Principality still resists, though not as strongly as it once did but has returned this damage tenfold to Dagons seemingly endless legions.

-Relations:
Kingdom of Aldebaran - Hostile
Puppet regime of Varyon - Hostile
Tsarleoi - Hatred
The Scarred King - Friendly
The Vrasje Mafia - Unknown

-Cultural Notes:
Knights and Sergeants: Only those descendant of the First Knights, or those that have proven their loyalty by acting as a squire to a Knight of the order and are sponsored by their knight in good standing, are eligible to become a Questing Knight with the right to bear a coat of arms. To prove their valor and courage, Questing knights must undertake quests in the Order's favor, such as recovering lost artifacts of the faith, or slaying beasts or those that prowl on the defenseless. A small percentage complete these quests granting them the title of Knight and equipment worthy of such a station, with the same percentage being slain on the quest. Those that fail and survive are eligible to become Sergeants. The orders military mainly consists of these Sergeants, most being deadly warriors but with no eligibility to become knights or have failed their questing, making the rank of Sergeant the highest they can attain. Still a honored title in it's own right.
The Oath: All those that fight for the Principality have sworn an oath before the gods themselves. To honor and uphold. WIP

@HeroicGathering Sounds good. I felt like a dick because i said that and then didn't have much to give you in regards to information on them.
I'll be on Pirate pad for tonight and probably tomorrow if anyone wants to talk about anything and come up with some cool ideas.
Maybe i shouldn't have done that. I'm still working on it. ;)
Edit: I feel like a dick. They're pretty much Paladins following the old religion Pre-Dagon. So if you want an honorable, oath-abiding knight that is still full of faith and shares a hatred for Dagon. You might have one of these in your party. I'll go into more detail in the NS.
@HeroicGathering Knights you say. Just so happens... Well, you'll have to see.
@Aphelion If Balazar was in a position where he could help, he would certainly try. You still need to pay him after all. ;)
I doubt that you could destroy an airship with a level 2 spell, with anima overflow it's probably level 4? Even then, i don't think that a single level 4 power would bring an airship out of the air. Besides, after your anima overflow, you said so yourself that your spells are as powerful as a level 1 power and you're slowed and weakened. Any more damage you could put out would be minor. Also, congratulations, you managed to squeeze 4 power casts in 2 posts... Just remember this is a casual role-play and not an arena alright? @RoflsMazoy
