Evenkite turned around -more of a twirl, really- and came to face
A short, humourless laugh was followed by more banter on Evenkite's part.

"Why, yes, I suppose the ten thousand or so other holes much like the one you emerged from all just happened to be there, and your's was the only one which had another gem. A likely story. And for your information, oh ignorant one, the wind knocked me over and you just so happened to be there." She opened her mouth as if to say more, but then closed it as she heard a loud clanging. Simply wonderful. Her scowl deepened into a now teeth revealing -rather crooked and sharp teeth- one, and her ear twitched. Hands clenched and slightly hunched over, she turned towards Sodalite

"Okay, I just had to deal with this one's ruckus-Oh for the love of the sky, stop that! That's not how they're to be used." The exasperation in her tone was practically tangible, something that could be felt in the air and grasped at. She put a palm to her face and begun to shake her head. Nope. That was it. She was going back to her little hole in the wall, she decided, and she would stay there until they were quiet.

Just as she was about to do so, yet another -yes, another- gem appeared, asking what she had been doing here. She ignored this question.

"Please tell me you're smarter than these two idiots."

Little imp though. I was going for somewhere between fairy (not the disney sort) and witch-like, but imp works too, especially since fae folk and imps were once considered one in the same.

@Saarebas Relatively new for some of them, anyways. Evenkite emerged pretty early on but stayed in Kindergarten, but I still don't think that's enough time to discover all of that, considering how long it's been taking Steven. Though that could be because he's only half gem. But if Spinel also emerged earlier on, she could've discovered it on her own somehow, I suppose?

Yup, Castle in the Sky! It's my favourite Ghibli film, though Naussica of the Valley of the Wind is a close second. But they are all amazing. Except I'm probably the only person who didn't like My Neighbor Totoro. That's the only exception.

I also loved Howl's Moving Castle, but since I've also read the original book by Diana Wynn Jones, it's...Well, it suffers from what I call 'Differing Adaption Syndrome' where though the adaption isn't necessarily bad, it's really different and leaves you a little confused as to how to feel about it.

Evenkite groaned as she lifted herself up, using Amber's leg for support and rubbing her forehead, where the impact had been. On the bright side, at least the other noise seemed to have stopped, so now at least she didn't need to add a headache as another source of paint in her head.

"Excuse me," she mumbled in a slightly dazed state, apparently not having heard the ''ello'. With her head held low, she let go of the leg and took a few steps back.

A few awkward moments passed where Evenkite said nothing and did nothing, her body completely still and her gaze fixed to the floor. She remained like so until finally, she blinked. And with that blink, her demeanour had changed completely. With alarming speed, her head shot up, attempting (and mostly failing) to make eye contact with the larger being. The scowl from before had returning to her face, and with it her annoynace.

Evenkite took a step forward in what might have been an intimating manner, if it weren't for the fact that she measured up to the other's knee. "Wait, no, excuse you! Yelling your head off like that...Why, I never. You think you're the only one here, don't you, huh? Self-centered much?" Evenkite crossed her arms across her chest and stuck her hooked nose into the air, turning away from the other gem. Narrowing her eyes, she, her head still turned, gave a sideways glance. Or rather, a glare.

"Well, I think you best apologize, Loudmouth."

Before she waiting for her reply, she turned to Emerald -what was with all the new gems all of a sudden?- and though she probably didn't mean for it to sound hostile, she let out a quick "What do you want?" which sounded more like a snarl than a question. She didn't seem to see Sodalite, and if she did, she took no notice.
