Stopping mid-step, Evenkite turned around to face the blue gem, quite uneasy at her reaction. She's not angry? That had to be good, right? Either way, so much for leaving quietly.
"U-Um, yes. Yes ma'am. I'll do that." She reached her hands out, as before, and took the gemstone, having to reach quite a bit in order to do so. Suddenly feeling rather protective, Evenkite cradled the gemstone in one, drawing it close to her, and placed the other atop it. After what she saw, she didn't want anything to bad to happen to this gem. Any bitterness towards the gemstone earlier had left her after the flood of relief that he was okay, and she wanted to keep it that way. Even the noise coming from the -...what even is that thing? It certainly isn't a gem- wasn't bothering her now. She was too relieved to really pay attention to take his words in, never mind bother to question him.
The compliment took Evenkite a little off guard, and a yellow-green shade began to tint her cheeks. "...You mean I'm puny, don't you?" It wasn't hostile as before, just questioning. And perhaps a little embarrassed. Maybe just slightly insulted. But not hostile. She let out an awkward chuckle and continued to listen to Aqua, nodding. She stayed in the Kindergarten because it was safe, but with those spider robots...
"A-Anyways...He's...He's going to be fine, correct? I mean...What I mean is, he's not going to stay like this forever, will he?"
She vaguely remembered the words of an older green gemstone a while back, when she was a newborn herself, saying something about the gemstone being essential to life, but she didn't remember her saying anything about being able to grow back from the gemstone.
"And leave? How can you be so certain that they will return? After that beating, I don't think anyone would want to try their luck here again. Besides, even if they do come back, why should I leave? I'm tiny. I can hide in places they can never reach. "
Like I did just now while the orange guy nearly died.
"So what's my reason to go? Who are you, anyways? You might've helped us, and I'm sure we all appreciate your help, ma'am, but we don't know anything about you to just simply believe you, take no offense."
