@21308 No no, we were trying to colour code the group into a rainbow after we realised that if we didn't make Eve white but rather yellow, we could have a rainbow, and we needed one more gem anyways, a red gem, and though I had a lot of gem ideas to fill that role, I remember Harlequin Quartz my mind sorta went 'BOOM I HAVE AN IDEA AND IT'S BRILLIANT I'M NOT SURE IF IT'LL WORK BUT IT'S BRILLIANT'. Originally Quin was just going to be a normal gem, but then I remembered that Harlequin Quartz isn't only formed with titanium and quartz, but can also be made with Lepidcrocite and Hematite (we went with Hematite because then they'd be black and white in contrast to the rainbow) then I instantly thought that maybe she could be a fusion, and then her character just BOOM ideas flew from everywhere and it was magical. And thus Quin was born. And we all agreed that she was a good idea. So she stayed.

There's also Harlequin Opal, and if I ever did pick that for an OC, I'd probably give her quite a few references to the character of Arlecchino as well. Probably even more than with Quin, since that actual gemstone has the mottley pattern we associate with Arlecchino and such, and being a sole gem rather than two would give me more leeway. But ye. In fact, while deciding on a gem, I was thinking of having Harlequin Opal as based off Quin, but then Eve was like.

And so I did. And now there are four Eves. One for each direction, season, 'pathy'...XD

I'll definitely have a spot for Quin in the future (probably not Ido because without Rupine it's just not the same), I'll have to because she's too fun, it's just that they'll never be the ultimate nOPE Squad again. ; v ;

@Akayaofthemoon Abfkjdbfkd don't worry I want to as well, especially Emerald and, surprisingly, Bloodstone, though I doubt he'd react well to a hug. What about a terribly terrified and lonely younger Evenkite? Because we'll be seeing some of those soon.

@Raijinslayer No worries Raijin, we understand. I have no idea why your school starts so early, I'm just going to guess your break stars earlier or America is far less giving with their breaks. I don't go back to school until September, probably the 8th, but my school ended on the 22nd of June.

@21308 You mean her gemstone? Quin is Harlequin Quartz, a fusion between Crystal Quartz and Hematite. I admittedly took a lot of inspiration of her character from that of Arlecchino, a character you all know as Harlequin, but quite a bit comes from the gems themselves as well, along with a few of my own liberties. If you mean personality wise...Why not altiverse with her? I've been itching to have Quin make some sort of interaction, especially since she's such a zany character. And thanks, I'm glad you think so of them. Though I'll probably never find another use for all six of them as a team apart from their original one, especially since most of the characters aren't my own, but ye. They hold a very special place in my heart because other than the scrapped character of Ukanite, they were really my first step into creating gem OCs and were a ton of fun.

@21308 Rut simply rolls her eyes in response. Somewhere, out in the distance, OE is having one of her rare emotional moments where she's seething with jealousy over not being born in this alternate universe, where Chromite had to deal with Rut instead of her. It fades quickly though.

Don't worry, Eve will be interacting with her, and if she does tag along, possibly the other gems as well.

Random thing

I can say right now that Quin and Ido and pretty much the only ones here who aren't really neutral. Quin has a bone to pick with both ends (probably because the two gems that create her and an x-Crystal gem and an X-Homeworld gem) so it's not so much that she's neutral but holds equal contempt towards both sides, while Ido is the opposite as she felt too deeply for both sides to be able to actually pick one and face against the other. And I guess you can say that it's funny that Rut would be the other gem most likely to get on her nerves, since she's also the only one who never actually had her stance on sides change, since she never really had one to begin with, so I'm not sure it's fair to say she's neutral considering she never had any direct contact with the other sides to claim neutrality. So in a sense, the only really neutral ones are Rupine, Mel, and Eve. Doesn't make them any less of the ultimate nOPE Squad, but ye. I don't know, thought I'd bring this up for some reason.

@pyroman Technically, Dork Dquad is a BrOT3 (4 if we count Reggie), but ye. XD And pairing just sounds...strange when it comes to platonic ones, simply because the term a pair is so often assiated with romantic couples. :P But ye.

Ido and Quin would probably be able to push her buttons as well, but I think Rut would do the best job, and that, if there's one thing that Original Eve and Chromite would share, it's their disdain for Rut. I think Chromite and Rupine would get along best. And don't worry, I can add in a small meeting in the Spinel meets OE's crew. XD

@pyroman I think we're torturing Kronshi by not letting Evealite sail more than we are Eve and Sodalite XD

And again, no idea if the pairings will happen or not, with Sodalite or otherwise, but we will see. If it does happen, it's definitely going to be built up slowly and subtly. Especially since I still am confused by how romance works. XD
