My work schedule just completely changed for the worse, so expect me to be less active, unable to run my own RPs, but I should hopefully be able to keep myself in other people's RPs.

@LetMeDoStuffCharacter accepted.
@babbysama@LetMeDoStuffBoth character concepts sound great. Go ahead and put CS apps in the characters section, and I'll let you both know if/when they are accepted.
Plot:
1916: The Great War is in full swing as the German Empire is attacked by British and French forces at the Battle of the Somme. This battle would be regarded as one of the bloodiest, and by some one of the most pointless, battles in human history. This battle would also be significant in that it saw the first use of the tank, or land-ship, on the field of war. Trench warfare played a large aspect in this battle, and in the lives of the soldiers involved on all sides. Life in the trenches had a large impact on the troops, with disease and infestation running rampant. Described as a veritable "Hell on Earth", many soldiers would struggle to recover, with some failing to recover at all....

Alright, the key to this RP is we'll be playing soldiers of the German, French, and British armies during World War I, starting with the Battle of the Somme. Now for the CS, and some info-links.

@EschatologistYou're fine. I'll probably go with 1916 for the best experience.
@EschatologistYou do make an interesting point. It would probably be better to set it before the arrival of the US.
@BlackbeardI can always provide answers to any questions or issues that may arise. I can also provide wikipedia links.
@EschatologistSorry for the late reply, but the time is set right at the arrival of the very first US troops. My plan was for everyone to choose their nation their character hails from, because my true goal for this RP is to simulate the life of trench warfare, an RP that shows the day-to-day struggle of a soldier on the Western Front.
@ClocktowerEchos Well, my idea is that player actions would trigger chain events leading to a change in the battles. For example, you might throw a grenade into a machine gun nest, which may alter the course of the battle by allowing your side to advance further in the area the nest was, leading to your side capturing a key objective. Had you instead decided to throw the grenade at enemy troops in a trench near the machine gun, thinking you wouldn't make the throw to the gun, the nest wouldn't have been destroyed, and your side would have never captured the key objective.
My idea was we would play soldiers on both sides of the Western Front of World War I, around the time of the US entering the war. Players would be welcome to make characters from any of the nations involved on the Western Front. Player actions would effect the outcome of the battle(updated in my posts), and these battles would effect the outcome of the war, meaning many different things could happen. So, anyone up for this?
