You seem like someone who's frequently come across people that aren't very willing to engage you intellectually. I can't promise I will, since you're a new person I don't know, but I'll try my hardest.

I'd prefer for worldbuilding and roleplay to be a collaborative experience with no explicit GM but an implicit Co-GM/Co-GM dynamic that allows for input from both sides but still gives me creative freedom to direct the story.

Could you answer a few questions that I need clearing up?

1. You do or don't want to do shounen? I don't wanna make you uncomfortable if you feel like you'd be unable to bring yourself to RP a setting like that. Mainly the phrase "I can't stress how guilty of a pleasure this is" is what worries me, since I inherently write stylistically closer to shonen/seinen for more supernatural/fantastical settings than anything else. Then again my writing style is a hodge podge even if I subscribe to the literary school of "Getting to the point."

2. Isn't most horror (worth writing), by nature, R-Rated? You said one of your interests was the Horror Genre, but you also said "no R-Rated Content" what does that leave in the range of horror? Tokyo Ghoul, Courage The Cowardly Dog, and Five Nights at Freddy's? I'm not trying to be antagonistic, I'm just not sure what you mean by "non-R-Rated Horror." The kind of Horror I generally write is somewhere in between Junji Ito and SCP in terms of the feel I go for. Very human yet also wildly surreal. I don't generally get into valleys of NSFW outside of body-horror and violent descriptions. Stuff is never explicitly sexual with my work but there can be tones to it. I just want to know what exactly you want out of horror that isn't R-Rated in the case that we do it.

I see. Well, I am currently running an RP that's Modern Military Fantasy...

Noble Arms: The ASEAN War - Second Thread

Here, if you want.

Ah, I might have to pass. Military RP doesn't go super well with me unless it's strictly HFY and even then I mostly just liked to dominate Godzilla RP servers.

Thank you so much for the interest, though!

Greetings; what genres are you interested in, worldbuilding-wise?

Horror, Sci Fi, Fantasy, 2000's Counterculture, Thriller, and Superhero genres are what I do best. But I also do quite a bit of fandom roleplaying! Thank you for asking.
Hi! My name is lord moldoma! I've been roleplaying in some form or fashion since around 2016. I'm very invested in longterm worldbuilding and the creative aspects of narrative crafting!

I've been lurking on the site for about a year. But I haven't actually posted anything until just yesterday. Silly me! I forgot!
Interested. Would love to RP with you if we can do 1x1.

Are you familiar with a setting called House of the Dead? As far as "Weird Zombies" and "Nonstandard" Zombie stuff goes, you can't really beat it.

I've got a whole backlog of media I know of to pull from for interesting encounters (I have an approximate knowledge of many things.) And I can play multiple characters as needed.
Hi, my name is Lord-Moldoma.

Roleplaying is my hobby, and by hobby, I mean I don't get up to much outside of roleplaying, sleeping, drawing art, and playing video-games. I try to be available as often as possible.

I'm looking for dedicated partners. I don't need 24/7 dedication to a roleplay, I understand we all have lives. But I've been ghosted in the past in other peoples RPs, so making a commitment is important for me.

Anyway.

- All Ages 18+ are welcome. I don't discriminate because I'd be a hypocrite if I did.

- I'm looking for 1 - 3 new partners for any one of my settings or multiple.

- In terms of writing ability, I want someone who can engage me but who isn't so incredibly intent on sticking to concrete rules that they'd be a hazard when trying to write creatively. I'm a bit of a sucker for powerscaling, so bonus if you can get into that, and it's probably a good idea if you can at least tolerate it.

- Please be able to write at least a collective paragraph? You can space it out, you can split it between multiple characters, as long as stuff is happening.

- When it comes to Canon Settings, there are a few I'm really interested in, but in the case of those fandom settings, Canon characters generally aren't gonna end up part of the plot. Maybe if a character is principle to the setting or some sort of cosmic entity, but I like making my own stuff with settings as a sort of template.

- I love experimentation, narratively in terms of playing with settings, tropes, and characters, and with trying out new settings entirely. You wanna do something completely out there and weird that I didn't even mention? Send me a DM and I'll consider it!

- What I'm not looking for are people who wanna do their favorite scenarios with canon characters, people who's entire writing style is based on Young Adult schlock like Divergent or Hunger Games, or, especially, people who aren't able to think of things on a bigger scale, and who'd treat roleplay/worldbuilding like a zero sum game where they "have to level up their character at all costs."

Fandom Settings I wanna do:

Scott Pilgrim: I blame this series and Newgrounds for giving me the idea I could draw my own comic. It holds a special place in my heart. Anyone who's at least read the comic should be good, because they'll get the vibe I want. Again, not looking to do romantic Canon-X-Canon or Canon-x-OC. Romance is fine, and it's a big part of the setting, but I wanna keep to OC-x-OC. This'll come back around later for a different non-fandom setting.
My Hero Academia: I really like My Hero. In spite of it being a flawed manga, the worldbuilding is a masterclass on how to construct your first big setting. A lot is already laid out through context clues or eastereggs, and most things can be answered without too many leaps in logic. This is a strong candidate for one of the better made settings to expand on.
One Piece: One Piece is a massive massive series so much to the point that I haven't been able to cover it all. As much as I wanna say I'm a diehard One-Piece fan, most of my knowledge is from secondhand sources like the wiki and articles about the series or from roleplay servers. I'm currently on the Baratie arc. So we've got a long way to go before I'm caught up with the story itself. But I know a lot of the beats and the path it takes. There is so much going on in the world of one piece that you could have an entire adventure and never meet a canon character while still having them exist. But I'd still like to preferably stick mostly to OCs.
Bubblegum Crisis and Cyberpunk(RTG): R. Talsorian Games published the licensed TTRPGs for each, and that's where a lot of the worldbuilding comes from. They get lumped together because they're more or less the same setting sans a few key differences.
OK KO: Lets be Heroes: The clinically underrated show by Ian Jones Quartzey. OK KO has a pretty blatant 80's saturday morning cartoon vibe while still harnessing the modern cartoon power of marketability. I love the setting, and I'd love to do an RP based on the setting.
Adventure Time: Adventure time is a setting that I've been hoping to do an RP based on, but I've never much had the time for. Superscience and Magic in a post apocalyptic world, with a multiverse. The whole thing feels like they turned the world's greatest DND campaign into a western cartoon.
Overlord: I'm a big fan of Kugane Maruyama's overlord. Of course, if we do this, I have to warn you upfront that I'm keen on playing this as a power-fantasy roleplay, in line with the books and anime.
SCP: This is a bit of a weird one. Yeah, I love the setting, but if we're gonna be playing it, you either have to agree to double up and take on part of the human staff alongside me, or let me play as SCP characters entirely.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: It's been a long while since I've RPed anything relating to jojo. In fact it's been a while since I've even read the manga. But I remember it like yesterday. This is gonna be one of my strongest settings for worldbuilding, since I was absolutely obsessed with it for quite a while.
Skullgirls: My favorite game of all time. I'd love to RP it.

Custom Settings I've Created or Want to create:

Grunge/Delux: Basically, the world of Grunge (Called Delux in its beta), was meant to be a mishmash world that crossed over multiple concepts from other settings, into an early 2000's pop-punk/sk8r-girl setting with some minor aspects of cyberpunk. For a good reference on what I want Grunge to be like, I'd recommend you look up FLCL, Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, and Griptape Havok. With a healthy amount of skullgirls and 2000s anime mixed in. Knowledge of these aren't strict requirements, but it's that kind of media that inspired Grunge. This setting is a total mishmash of ideas, with a 2000's "Slice of extraordinary life" anime theme. The fundamental forces that govern the world of Grunge are more numerous than our baseline reality due to the supernatural nature of the world. While there are a wide variety of powers — ranging from the ability to knock down buildings through the empowerment of your hairstyle, to being able to throw cars like pebbles with telekinesis you’ve gained from being genetically enhanced — they definitely follow some clear rules and no one ability type is inherently stronger than any other, and that it really just depends on the person, and how much they desire becoming stronger and bettering themselves.

Lipstick Academy: Lipstick academy takes place in a near-future setting with low level cyberpunk elements, and a high level focus on both in-born, genetically enhanced, and learned powers. To keep things simple, Lipstick Academy has a one-world government system with multiple sub governments in the form of Principalities. Principalities are generally democratic in nature, but may also be parliamentary monarchies, parliamentary democracies, or democratic republics in nature. There are a myriad of autonomous regions in the world of Lipstick Academy, generally either owned by corporations, sports associations, or acting as jurisdiction for Academy Cities. Explaining the flexibility of why and how the schools can be so drastically different legally from the surrounding areas. Why the student councils can hold so much genuine power (Although being run by students who are generally extraordinary both mentally and physically even when compared to other superhumans doesn’t hurt.) Or why there can be entire town-sized arenas dedicated to weapons testing/bloodsport. An Academy city is a highly dense metropolitan area, generally, but not always, with a massive wall around it, and one of the many “Battle Academies” at the center. Academy city populations are mainly made up of students, their families, and a shifting stream of prospecting entrepreneurs, caravan merchants (which exist in the modern day), and more menial workers, or ‘teachers’ who are often former academy students who have decided that the bloodsport lifestyle isn’t for them. The funding they receive from partnerships with corporations, sports leagues, government and extra-governmental subsidies, and generous donations from alumni, acts as a constant stream of cash-flow into the wide-reaching need for resources and manpower that the Academy Cities require. Basically, Project Ako meets Kill La Kill, meets Baki the Grappler and My Hero. The name derives from a comical segment on a particular gaming podcast where the hosts created a hypothetical "academy setting battle anime." As such, expect this RP to be somewhat lighthearted with a few heavy themes mixed in, and for there to be plenty of puns that don't translate perfectly.

Scareworld: Scareworld is the newest of my 3 settings. Depending on how we work it out, my ideas for it is a setting similar to that of a previous RP I was in, involving a group of civillians and misfits from the year 2000 surviving in a hostile, sentient location of supernatural nature. Either this'll be derivative of the backrooms, Spooky's House of Jumpscares, or it'll be derivative of Carn-evil/house of the dead.

Land of The Horrific: Similar to Scareworld, Land of the Horrific is a setting based around Horrible things that go bump in the night. But the real spectacle isn't the humans who survive being snuffed, smashed, gored, and splattered, the real spectacle is the nature of odd things to attract other odd things, and how most of the time, a relation can only end up one of two ways. Symbiosis, where two monsters become one even worse monster. Or, more likely, conflict, where two monsters, be it a frankenstein, a lost soul, or a space alien, duke it out, with little regard for any surrounding humans that get caught in the crossfire. The main fun of this setting is pitting anomalous, supernatural, and paranormal entities together, and describing the scenarios and how they'd play out. Preferably, there'd still be a human element, either a shady extra governmental superagency trying to "maintain the veil" or just the survival of the occasional "Movie Protagonist Type Character" who, in some ways, would probably be an anomaly or supernatural being in and of themselves.
