So, there's this rabbit outside my house, and I'm not sure what to do with it. It sits there sometimes, eating grass and staring into space. It isn't mine, though, so it runs off when we approach.

As the wraith slowly disappeared, it gained a sudden burst of speed down the hall, escaping Light's body. Stopping quite a long way down the hall, it screamed at Light, unleashing a sound wave. It wouldn't do much damage, but it would hurt Light's ears.

Isaac was watching the battle and signalled to one of his hunters.
"Do it." Isaac said, snapping his fingers.
It appeared behind Light, letting off a strong blast of electricity that wouldn't do a lot to light, before teleporting back to the monitoring room. The wraith floated threw a wall, emerging to Light's left and slashing before disappearing back into the wall. It began harassing light using the walls, slashing from an unseen place. Isaac adjusted his glasses and continued watching.
Good. He thought.
@Lord Santa Nice post, Love the Hydra especially.

Could you explain the man-beast capabilities, such as how string is it, how much damage it can take, and other such information, that would be great.

It's something like this:

The man-beast is something Isaac made with quite a few things spliced into them. He calls them the 'hunters' because they can teleport and they have low-level electrical abilities used to stun people. He took a teleporter's abilities as well as the cells of a guy who could discharge electricity and spliced it with some beefy guys. He added some enhanced strength and stuff to the mix and there you go.

As a result, the hunters are quite tough, fast, able to teleport and have really sharp claws as well as enhanced strength and some regeneration. Certain hunters have different ways of teleporting, but that's something I'll keep to myself for now. At any rate, they're mindless but cunning, and Isaac has a lot of control over them when he wants to.

Their stubborness is increased by the fact that they mindlessly obey Isaac's every command and are basically zombies. This makes them more tenacious than tough, but yeah. Isaac can call them back at any time, though that part depends on his reflexes more than anything, and if you kill them fast enough he can't call them back.

Also, their hearts are shifted downwards by a little which was kind of like a side-effect. No one except for Isaac would know that unless someone tries to rip their hearts out and finds a fistful of lung instead. If you need any more details, you can PM me or something.
"I spent a lot of time on those." Isaac sighed.
Unfortunately for him, his three dragons were dealt with. They'd basically been torn apart, and reconstruction was an unlikely event. Not impossible, but it would take time. A rather annoying amount of time. He would have to retrieve what he could, despite the danger. The dragons were still semi-salvageable. If that was the goal, then he knew what he needed.

Isaac pushed some buttons on the console in front of him and gates opened below, in the depths of the sewer. It would be a good time to test a few things. Some monstrous roars could be heard but were abruptly cut off as his man-beasts did his will. He adjusted his glasses and continued pressing more buttons. A few more cages opened below and the beasts inside were teleported away. Isaac sat back and watched.

-----------------------------------

On the battlefield, with the dragons down and the heroes causing pandemonium, it looked like another turn for the worse for the underground movement. It seemed that the reformists were winning, and they very well may take the day soon. Suddenly, another monstrous roar sounded from the depths of the underground. The reformist footsoldiers looked around nervously as they wondered what would come next. But things grew oddly quiet for a few seconds, and they were confused as to what it was. Suddenly, a reptilian head burst out of an intact part of the ground, behind the reformists, snapping up one of the footsoldiers. The others turned to face the new threat but it disappeared back underground. They rushed to the hole to try and catch another glimpse of the beast, only for the reptilian head to appear at their newly turned backs and swallow another hapless victim. It quickly disappeared from view again, and the footsoldiers were wary. Where would it come from this time? They made a circle around themselves, weapons drawn.

Suddenly, 3 heads burst out from under the ground and ate the soldiers whole, forcing them down their throat and disappearing again. Several more heads appeared from the ground and consumed the remains of the other dragons, swallowing them down faster than the reformists could react. They disappeared once again, and everything was still once more. The reformist foot soldiers stood nervously, not able to anticipate where it would go next. Suddenly, 9 heads burst out of the ground followed by a massive reptilian body which covered a third of the square. 3 of its heads roared while its other heads snapped up some mutant soldiers (Ophanim, vampires, elves).

The reformists opened fire but the bullets bounced off of the Hydra's thick scales. In response, 3 of its heads spit fire, ice and acid out of their mouth, wreaking havoc on enemy forces. The other heads opened fire with lasers characteristic of the Ophanim and snapped up anyone unfortunate enough to get in its path.

But while the reformists were distracted with the Hydra, a glowing green spectral shape drifted out of the ground, right behind an unsuspecting reformist. It silently drew back its arm and dashed forward, slashing several of the soldiers within a second. As other reformists noticed its presence, they opened fire only to find their bullets passing through it. Instead of paying attention to them, it made a beeline to Light, claws ready to engage.

Meanwhile, Insomnium was decimating the underground movement's forces. A man-beast appeared behind him and grabbed him in both arms, pinning him. Insomnium's shadow armour was clearly doing damage to it, but it quickly teleported and appeared somewhere else in Los angeles, at the height of a skyscraper. The man-beast held tight even as Insomnium hurt him, clearly intent on keeping him out of the fight.

3 more man-beasts appeared in flashes of blue light, swinging their claws at the soldiers. Some discharged electric blasts, stunning the soldiers, and then swiftly ending their lives. They disappeared once again in a flash of blue light before the other soldiers could react.

---------------------------------

In Isaac's monitoring room, he adjusted his glasses as he watched the battle.
Good. He thought.
The 3 man-beasts reappeared behind him.
"Stand by for more orders." Isaac said to them.
He stood in the chair, watching the fight. He had control of the hydra, and he could tell it what to do to a point. The 2 other man-beasts were on standby for further orders, but he didn't need them right now. All he had to do now was watch.
@Lord Santa, can we collab on Sync.in?

yes, yes we can
Hope I'm not making Light too strong with her stuffing a dragon into a 'ball' and the ball exploding. I'm just imaging the dragons about as big as a van or so. Still got the nastiest of the 3 left though, so meh.

They're a little bigger than a bus. Here's the passage.

Outside, the battle continued, with the reformists on one side and Isabella's mutants on the other. Both side were suffering losses, but it was clear that the reformists had the upper hand. Suddenly, a monstrous roar sounded and 3 dragons, each a little larger than a bus, appeared from the hole in the ground, leaving charred, melted and frozen corpses in their wake.
don't worry, luminooty will ensure RP is not kill
@Archmage MC, how exactly are you planning to tame the dragon?
Well, Kanako's kind of like his only friend or something. Or his best friend or something.
It was a quiet time in the firing range at St Sebastian's, a time when one could take a break and relax from all the laser gun firing and the bullet gun firing. Yup, it was a time for Taro to stop shooting his guns and shoot his bow instead. From the back line, Taro fired upwards at a dummy a little bit away, spearing it through the top of the head.
"Oh, sweet. It hit." Taro said.

He found that shooting normal guns was rather boring. Sure, lasers were cool and, but they lacked punch. And yes, the more 'normal' guns had pretty good punch, but with something like a bow and arrow...

"Alright, let's try this..." Taro said.
He took two arrows from the nearby quiver and put one of them on the string, keeping the other one in his hand. He drew back and aimed upwards, at the dummy's head once again. As he let go, he quickly took aim straight towards the dummy's head and drew the other arrow back quickly. He released it as the other arrow arced and was met with a well timed, satisfying thock as both arrows hit the dummy at the same time.

"Holy crap, that worked!" Taro said.
Well, he'd had little doubt that it would, but it was still cool. He pressed the button to open the door to the target field and walked over to analyse the damage.
"Hm...." He thought.
Hitting the target twice was actually rather pointless, as one arrow should've been enough to pierce the brain. That said, if he fought robots or something, then maybe it would actually be useful.
"It's only really useful for showing off..." He thought.
He shrugged and eased the two arrows from the dummy. He walked back to the sniper's nest and picked up his quiver. That was enough practise for today.

As he went to retrieve his belongings from the locker room, he noticed as he picked up his phone that he had a mmessage from Kanako, which was curious. It was still around class time, afterall. Well, nearing the end of the day, but still. He quickly read over the contents.
"WHAT?!" He said aloud in disbelief.
She was getting an enforcer desk job? Why would she? He entered a quick reply.

To: Kanako the coworker
Subject: GUESS WHAT???

DON'T LEAVE ME BEHIND ;-;

ps. Ugh, don't leave me with the boss by myself. Maybe I should become an enforcer too...
Taro

With that, he hit the send button, not even pausing to look over it. He'd probably written something stupid, but whatever. He still couldn't think of why Kanako had wanted to be an enforcer. Then again, her personality was kind of airy, and her control over her esper power wasn't the best, so maybe she wanted some kind of protection?

Taro sighed and picked up his bag. He hoped he'd at least see her at the evening shift. He had to ask her in person about this. Fortunately, the bell went to signal the end of the day, so he slung his bag over his shoulder and started heading home. As he walked out of the school grounds, he stretched and yawned. It'd been a reasonably annoying day, but it was his first-first-day-of-school he'd spent as a senior with responsibilities, because honestly, he didn't like responsibilities. He was kind of tired, and the prospect of Kanako getting an enforcer desk job didn't exactly give him a huge burst of energy.

He sighed again. The week promised to be a remarkably annoying one, despite the apparent 'freedom'. Sure, there was no school, but there was the fact that he had to go do competitions and contests that he would rather avoid. Representing St Sebastian's or something. If he had his way, he'd shut himself in his apartment for the entire week only emerging to consume food and buy games and manga. In fact, to be honest, he really wanted to be a neet for the rest of his life and not have to worry about anything, but bills had to be paid and he needed money for that. All in all, the next week would be pretty bothersome for him.
Well, me, Bee, Savato and Raijinslayer's colab is nearly done so it'll probably give you something to do
