Marcus watched the growlithe enjoy his homemade snacks, and the tension in the boy's shoulders release. Changing attitudes the boy quickly shifted into a more relaxed state, introducing himself as Satou. Asking if Marcus was a student at the academy, Marcus replied;
"Yep, I came from the Sinnoh region to come to the academy. This school is well known for its education, but..." he said, glancing around the dock
"I guess they aren't so great at first days." he sighed, not seeing any sign of headmaster.
"You said something about team magma and team aqua, I've got to ask, who are they?" Marcus asked Satou "Are they anything like Team Galactic?" he questioned, remembering the news stories involving the capture of the lake trio Pokemon, the massive purple portal opening over Mt. Coronet, it was all so crazy to think about.

Sitting on the bench, Marcus tapped his foot a signaling Shinx to sit up straight. Flashing the poffin in his palm, Shinx's nose shot into the air with excitement. Marcus tossed the poffin into the air, Shinx following suit and jumping into the air catching the poffin while flipping over backwards. Landing the trick, Marcus rubbed Shinx's head in joyful approval, Shinx nudging against his hand as he chewed the poffin gleefully.
Marcus looked around the dock, he glanced at the gathering group of fellow students waiting for the headmaster to arrive. Shinx began pawing at Marcus for more poffins, a begging look in his eyes. Reaching into his bag, Marcus pulled out a small food bowl from his back pack, filling it with his homemade special blend of pokefood. Shinx began chowing down, shaking it's tail with happiness, he feasted upon the contents of the bowl.

Marcus turned his head, noticing another trainer and his growlithe hanging out not just a few yards away. The boy and the growlithe were both eating something, he couldn't quite tell what. Reaching into his backpack, he pulled out another container and walked over to the red haired boy, a small container in his hands.
"Hello there, I'm Marcus." He said to the red haired boy
"I saw you feeding your growlithe, and just thought I'd offer you some pokefood I made." Marcus said.
He held out the container with a small fire emblem on the side.
"I've been practicing at making it type favored, this one I attempted at making specifically for fire types."

Brief History:
Winston grew up in a workshop. His father did what he could selling weapons, scrap, organs, anything to feed his son. Winston’s mother died giving birth, leaving just his father to raise the newborn. Winston learned a lot watching his father disassemble whatever he could get his hands on. They bonded over learning what every intricate piece did. Eventually, when Winston was about 17, he and his father were building a bomb for a local militia. They didn't ask what they intended to use it for, only how much carnage were they trying to inflict. While working on the bomb alone, Winston made a mistake, causing the project to blow, costing Winston his right arm. His father did his best to heal his wounds. But the man was a mechanic, not a doctor. After cleaning and closing the massive wound, he began building his son a new arm. Every job after that was either to get parts for the arm, or trade bait for parts. Winston’s father continued work on the arm until his death years later. Decades have passed since then and Winston himself has become a well known underground market supplier. The arm his father started, has undergone many transitions from ineffective prototype to its current state now. His arm is his tool belt, with built in screwdrivers, hammers, blowtorch, and many more upgrades.
Though he sells some of the best and deadliest weapons to some of the most vicious factions, Winston himself is non-violent. He does not have many enemies, as most would rather employ him than kill him. He cares little for using violence himself, in all his years of shady underground deals, only twice has it ever erupted into violence. He is not a good shot, and lacks the physical prowess to be a melee warrior, his skill lies in his mind and his silver tongue. The years of dealing with thieves, killers, and cops, he's really lost all interest in building relationships, as he’s learned most will just turn on you for a quick profit

Couple of notes, do I detect a hint of RvB? :P

Second: Your Imperial Friend wouldn't go into a Republic trap, he'd go into a Rebel Trap. The New Republic at this point has only existed for a couple of months maximum. That's not to say he couldn't have been on a Rebellion Prison ship, as they existed.

There's a couple of minor typos, but that doesn't bother me as much as we're in cas. I'm gonna say ~ Accepted.

The character and faction name are a reference to 'The Day The Earth Stood Still', though i have watch some of RvB I didn't intentionally hint at them. Edited it to rebel prison ship.

Hello, I have a very similar concept I've been working on in my solo time and i feel we could collab on some really cool stuff. Im really into lore and world building and in depth story arcs, and all of what I've written so far is similar. I'd definitely be interesting in building and starting an rp.
