Bio

Hi all! It's Ana back from the void. I had some pretty intense months IRL, but the witch is back and ready to brew up a wonderful little story haha~ Here are my terms for OnexOne, dearlings~ Look it over and let's see if our tastes can create a lovely RP feast for you and me!

Length:

Medium causal to low advanced. I am a bit carnivorous and need a good bit of meat in the posts I get from my partners. Don't let me go hungry, huhuhu~
Like wise, I shall try to feed you with, at the very least posts of two and a half paragraphs in length or more. It's all about give and take, right~?
Mature Topics:

I can do smut and cursing, but let's try to keep it classy? I have a little brother on this site and I'd be mortified for him to find anything that isn't at least trying to be creative in word choice. Plus there are so many ways to keep things interesting and detailed without being crass or vulgar.

And while we are on the topic, I also feel that my mature RPs should be done with 18 and older roleplayers. Same goes with characters: 18 and older, preferably in the 20s, or nothing more than love fluff. You get Angel Food cake, you hear? Only 18 and up get to have Devil's Food.

And Romance doesn't have to be sappy. It can be that they hate each other in the beginning, but have attraction. Maybe they stay enemies. Maybe they unite but still don't trust one another. And maybe she is a hellion and he is cool calm and collected. Or maybe they both have bad tempers. There are so many possibilities! Romance doesn't always mean sappy fluff, but can include dark and more twisted passion. Huhuhu~ That's why there is a 'mature 18+ rating' on the door. ;P
Historical Topics:

Many, if not all, of my RPs involve some sort of historical quality. While I am no history buff, I like things to be believable. Call me nit picky and strict, but I don't like my Vikings calling my Heroine "babe" or "chick". It's odd and jars me right out of the RP.
Have Courage, Dearlings:

I won't bite you. :P I know I may seem strict on what I want, but this is just so we can both get what we want out of RP. If it isn't working, let's not be afraid to say so. Nothing is more painful than trying to feign interest in something you just are not interested in. Let's agree to talk to each other. Compromise and communication can solve many things. I am always open to suggestions once we agree on something to start with. OOC chat threads were made just for these kinds of things. So let's be friendly, yea? :3
One Final Thing:

I am looking to play the female character. I am looking for MY female character to be paired with a male character. I only clarify this because there have been misunderstandings in the past and it got reeeeeal awkward.

And so there is no confusion, I feel I must state it plainly somewhere in my current request: I would like to be the main female character. Thank you very much~ ;3

@MyCatGinger@Narcotic Dollie I...am not opposed to this pairing either~! Hehehe! *claps excitedly* Seeing them interact would be very cute!
Ooooo~ someone's gonna get a talkin' to from the handsome professor~ Hehehe~
Then I shall send you a Pm~!
@Lauder Any interest is welcome, haha~! So will you have something from my little menu above or do you have something else in mind? :3

Kaori Tatsumia

Sprinting off towards the flower shop, Kaori checked her wrist watch once more. There seemed to be a rather wide and flushed grin plastered to her face, even though she was now running a few minutes behind again. But the shop wasn't too far away and she wasn't horribly late. Good thing she could just say she missed the bus or something, since it was her first day. Next time she'd just ride her bike instead of running anyway. The redheaded girl couldn't help but see things through sunbeams today.

Entering the store, she shouted her arrival to the empty store front, removing the large warm jacket. But not without one last secret flustered smile into its collar. Maybe she was being a silly romantic day dreamer, but it had been a very rare kind of interaction for her. He had been kind of wild looking, but it was a rather handsome kind of wild. And Mister Upstanding Gentleman had been very kind. And animated. And his jacket smelled really good. Like sandalwood and musky guy cologne or something. It was faint but it made her kind of warm and dizzy for some reason.

Well, whatever the reason, it sure had made her day. Hanging the jacket up in the employee locker with her name on it, she reached in and pulled out a sunny yellow apron. Enchanted Florist's logo was gracefully displayed and Kaori wore it in delight. Pushing her hair behind her ears the best she could (one side always slipped out when she pushed the other back), she followed her new boss through a whirlwind of explanations and welcomes.

Flowers were out of season, but people wanted them now more than ever. With the weather calling for future snow days ahead, the colorful blooms were just what some people needed to brighten up their overcast days ahead. That and there was winter weddings, holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries, you name it! Winter time was just as big a time to sell flowers as any other, if not more so. So Kaori had plenty to do, even with the very few customers who actually walked into the shop. Arrange displays, rearrange bouquets, filter merchandise thorough the store's system, price things, place things, call people, on and on and on. It appeared that this part time job would be far more interesting than she had first expected to be.
@tobiax Hehehe~ Why thank you! I really like food.

I am open to operating though PM.

Sure~ We can discuss thing further in PM~

Age: 19

Appearance:

Faction: newly made ex-Gamer

Personality: Temperamental, Snarky, Secretive, Soft Hearted, Vengeance Driven

Backstory: As RP goes on

Skills: She may not look like much but her short build gives her advantages. Advantage Uno: Protect yer goods, cuz she will take dirty shots with those brass knuckles and steel toed boots. Advantage B: She's quick and low to the ground so gettin' yer hands on her is hard. Advantage III: She doesn't have to be a good shot tah get you with her shot gun. As for more practical stuff, her one good eye is pretty darn observant, maybe making up for only havin' one or whatever. Nothing escapes her sight. She has, uh, connections too, but don't ask who they are if you want yer info, yah hear? She also seems to still have her hands in some hush-hush trading, but yah better keep yer mouth shut.

Equipment/Weapons: Shot Gun, Couple of knives, steel toed boots, brass knuckles

Character Quirks: Don't mention the eye unless you want to lose one of yer own. No parent talkin' either. Nail biter. Has a fondness for her food to be on the rawer side of things.

In The Mirror

In Depth Appearance:
At first glance, Marilee looks a bit like an angsty metal-head who shares closets with a thrift-shop-visiting hipster. But under the dark eye shadow, long wild hair and ruddy lipstick is a rather pretty girl. She has big blue eyes so pale they almost look like moonlight on a mirror’s surface. Her nose is small and pert framed by full cheeks and rather high cheekbones. Her mouth, usually hidden by odd shades (sometimes weird pale cream colors, sometimes muddy browned reds) of lipstick, is full and resembles a lovely little bud, which can blossom if you ever get her to smile. Her skin, though not as pale as her mother’s, is fair and perfectly smooth. On the back of her neck is a tattoo she has of a triple face woman (her mother, visage and all) surrounded by the harvest moon. In the middle of her back is Hekabe, her mother’s mastiff canine servant, who holds a torch in her mouth and whose collar is adorned with her mother’s symbol.

Clothing Style: She looks best in dark clothes, in her own opinion, though deep wine reds and off-white dresses also suit her. Marilee likes to sleep in long white nightgowns, bit most of her other clothing is pretty normal. Jackets over hoodies and thrift store shirt (that she’s modified) over t-shirts is how she usually rolls. Just because she doesn’t have much money, doesn’t mean she can’t look rockin’. She doesn’t wear pants much, but if she does it is usually jeans or black pants with a particularly gothic-sense to them. Boots with just a little bit of heel to them are her preferred shoe, though she also likes flats. As for formal wear... well, she doesn’t really have anything for that. She’d probably swing by the closest thrift shop and grab a dark colored dress with some sleeve to it (she hates her shoulders showing). Marilee also always wears the mismatching jewelry that looks ancient and tarnished, but treasured and beloved. Her mother’s pendent is always around her neck and her father’s ring has been fitted to hand just above it on a strip of leather.

Personality:
♦ Reserved ♦ Cautious ♦ Loyal ♦ Anxious

Quiet and reserved, Marilee doesn’t make moves to interact with other much. She’s always been nervous about getting too close to people who can’t defend themselves properly against her magic. Perhaps she is more like her father than her Goddess mother on the inside. She is rather gentle and tries to avoid confrontations, but do not think she is weak. Her inner strength, just like it was in her father, makes her stronger than anyone will ever know. Her magic, though imposing and often thought of as dark, she always tries to keep a balance within herself. Dark and Light, always equal. This is something Marilee tries to live by.

But it can be difficult. With her powers so closely tied to her emotional state, sometimes bad things happen when she can’t keep it all bottled in. Her anxiety steams from the pressure of being on a knife’s edge all the time. But things like tea and meditations usually help her relax. It also helps to listen to wild music, letting the musicians go wild for her almost. She can’t help but admire people who are passionate and honest about their feelings. It makes her guilty sometimes, when she can’t be like that.

She is always planning out every move she makes or every thing she says. It is as though she feels she needs to. While her mother represents so much raw freedom, the gifts she passed onto her daughter have only created chains around the girl’s heart. Appearing cold and standoffish at first, it saddens her that this is how she feels she must be to protect people for herself. But once someone gets close enough to her that she feels she can be more herself, they’ll find a kind and gentle person with stubborn loyalty and protective care.

Background:
Marilee was born to a rather small family in a low-middle class town. Her father was a flower shop owner who had his own herb garden and two dogs. Her aunt and uncle lived next door and helped him look after his…unique daughter. In school, Marilee was always approached cautiously; her unsettling eyes just the surface of peculiarities. She was clever and tried to stay out of trouble, but one day a little blonde girl decided to make her the class target of ridicule. She told Marilee that the reason her mother left her was because she was ugly and odd.

For a child, this was one of the most hurtful things in the world. So she started to cry. And as she cried, her eyes started to glow an eerie red color. All the lights in the classroom burst and the little girl’s hair started to float around her. When she screamed at the blonde girl that she was wrong, she thought of the absolute worst thing a toddler could thing of. And her thought came true. The little blonde girl cowering before her went bald.

The outburst was odd enough to get her moved to another class, but explained away as a freak accident. The little girl who went bald? Well, she obviously was sick, nothing more, nothing less. Her father, aunt and uncle however knew the truth. They all looked so disappointed and sad. So Marilee, little young thing that she was, decided that she would never ‘do bad things like that’ ever again. Soon after her father died in a car accident and the little girl was sent next door to live with her kindly aunt and uncle.

Middle school and High school made that pretty difficult. Raging hormones, mixing with deep magic, and put on the flames of being the school freak? It was a potent little potion that was always difficult to keep from boiling over. When light bulbs burst or windows cracked or things just went a little crazy, Marilee was looked at with suspicion. No one could ever prove it, but they all saw the weird molten color her eyes could turn when she got too upset. The teachers could explain everything after the accidents, but everyone in school knew that when the freaky witch girl glowed, something bad was going to happen. And you’d think they’d learn to leave her alone.

But no, they didn’t. And when her classmates started to get frantic, she darted right out of school. The images of all the horrified face of anyone who had ever seen her ‘uniqueness’ flashed in front of her eyes. No one else had these things happening to them. No one else talked to ghost and could make thing levitate or burst. Freak. She was a freak!

The ground around her seemed to sway and she fell. Had she run that far? She was already deep in the dark woods that bordered the town. She should of just been able to look over her shoulder and see the school from past the tree-line, but instead all she saw was more forest. Panic engulfed her. Her aunt and uncle always cautioned her to stay in town. There were wolves in the woods, and they were hungrier than ever this year. She could see it now: High School Student Gets Devoured By Wolves – High School Students Rejoice At Good Fortune!

But the sensation of someone’s hand on her head replaced her panic with warmth. Like the memory of her mother… Silver mist that usually stuck so close to the Nebraskan forest floor pooled around her. It built up in one are, till the form a woman shimmer through. Like moonlight melting into soft shadows, the woman’s form materialized. Her eyes burned like torches in the deepest night, her hair was dark as midnight shadows, her skin pale like the moon. She was beautiful. And her face looked familiar.

It was like a more beautiful, powerful and peaceful version of her own face. I, Hecate, Mother of Moonlight and Mist, Shadow and Sorcery, am you’re mother, Marilee, the words whispered all around her, a musical sound so familiar the girl almost wept. It was the same tone as something from her memories. The memory of the day at her father’s funeral, when her mother had held her and stroked her hair and whispered comforting words in her ear.

“Mother,” Marilee’s voice was a strangled sob, but somehow she knew that in her mother’s presence ‘bad things’ would happen. The serene smile on the beautiful Goddess’s face sent a comforting ease through the teenage girl, like warm water mixing with her anxious blood.

You are the daughter of Hecate, her mother’s voice wrapped around her like a warm embrace, You are not a ‘freak’, but a Demi-Goddess, My Moonbeam. Never let them tell you otherwise. The beautiful shining figure raised a delicate hand and made a small graceful motion with her fingers. A dog trudged through the dark forest, a mastiff by the sheer size of the creature, and stopped before them. Hekabe shall be you’re guide to town, the divine voice whispered around her, as if coming from every shadow the forest held, When you are ready, I shall send you another message, My Marilee. You shall know when it is time, for Hekabe shall deliver it to you. Go now, Sweetling, and never be afraid to call to me, for I shall always hear you.

And slowly, with a loving smile, the visage of her mother in mist dissipated. The dog, who Marilee strongly suspected was far more than mere mortal animal, led her home, sure and straight as an arrow. The noble creature even stuck around a while to receive a nice cut of brown sugar ham Marilee had been saving in the fridge. Hekabe even let Marilee scratch behind her ears while she devour the tasty reward.

And it wasn’t very long that she had to wait from another visit of her divine mother’s loyal and noble familiar. The message was delivered on the eve of Samhain, a beautiful pendent tied to a very old tome with lovely silver ribbon. When the ribbon was untied (and Hekabe getting plenty of tasty meaty treats) it turned to mist in the moonlight. The silver mist formed words that informed Marilee that she was to enter a school for children of Gods and Goddesses, where she could learn better control and use of her powers. Telling her aunt and uncle, who celebrated with her, they all feasted that night. Even Hekabe stuck around for the festivities.

Extra: Marilee considers herself Wiccan, and respects all the Gods, but her favorites are Eros and Hades…

Godly Information

Godly Parent: Hecate

Relationship With Godly Parent:
They are distant, but she respects and admires her mother. Hecate was around every so often, but usually as an illusion or something untouchable. Hopefully whatever lucky offspring she spent more time with in tangible form appreciates it. But it was mostly her father who raised her, and her aunt and uncle later on after her father died. Hecate only once came to her in physical form and that was at her father’s funeral. The memory of her mother petting her head as she cried is something precious to Marilee. Perhaps they can have a closer relationship now that she isn’t running away from who she is.

Godly Abilities:
Magic – This were being born female gave Marilee a bit more of an advantage. Since she is a girl, her magic is strong, tied to her feminine demi-goddess soul. Some of the things she can will to do are minor compared to her mother and previous daughters of Hecate (like the old Greek rumor of one being Circe). She can make thing levitate, she can make things explode, she can speak words to summon small flames and she can even whisper words to coax mist. Marilee can also go through extensive rituals and spell-working to create potions, charms and hexes to influence thing to occur, but they are often rather weak. For example her ‘love charm’ are more ‘he looked at me today!’ charms, and her ‘healing potions’ are more like ‘well it doesn’t hurt as much as it did before’ potions. The magic is so tied with her emotions that she really has to feel it or will it for it to work. And she’s a pretty hesitant and hesitant person…

Ghosts - While most mortals call it ‘psychic’ or being a ‘medium’, it’s just plain normal for Marilee to have little chats with the wandering dead. The strength of communication depends on the strength of the soul, but she can concentrate to get a better ‘connection’ so to speak. Something she can also do is a summoning of a specter from the afterlife, though she has to preform a ritual with something that belonged to them. And it doesn’t always work. Just like a phone call, ghosts can decide not to answer a summons.

Marilee E. Laikos

Location: Running Awa- Er, Going to Coffee Station
Interacting With: No one yet

Marilee had started her walk forwards, but as soon as she had, she turned right on her booted heel and walked away. Not yet. She couldn't do this yet. Her long dark hair swung with her brisk retreating steps. Hands stuffed in her jacket pockets, her eyed glowed a soft red behind their pale blue shell. Anxiety boiled up in her blood and she could feel her fingers itching to set out magical commands. Who knew? Maybe her magic wouldn't even wait for a command. She needed to calm down.

Tea. Or coffee. Or anything warm and drinkable would help. On her way here she had seen a cafe looking place hunkered down on the street. It was generous to call it a 'cafe', but all she needed was a placed that served a hot drink in this moment. She wasn't going to be pick. Plus, it was probably a lot tastier than it looked. Surfaces were often not the most honest things to judge on. Plus maybe they actually made their food themselves, instead of all that machine made crap at big fancy food chains.

The peculiar dark haired girl, let her faithful feet carry her over sidewalk and street to the very cafe she had been trying to find. Marilee found that if she didn't think and just let her body carry her, she'd usually end up getting where she needed to go. Maybe it was because her mother presided over crossroads or something. Or maybe she just found it easier to worry about everything else in her head than which direction she was suppose to be going in. Huh. Put like that it sounded a bit dangerous. How did she not get lost all the time?

Standing in front of the build, she just looked at it for a moment, counting backwards in her mind to help calm her nerves. The red in her eyes receded and her face lost some of the intensity it usually held. Her shoulders dropped a bit and she went into the coffee shop. The door made a squeaking noise, its joins whining in protest as she opened the door. Perched in the entrance way, she looked around slowly, wondering if she should sit or if she was to be seated by someone. Looking down at her scuffed up boot, Marilee waited quietly, hands in her jacket pockets. Why did she always run away over such small things?
