So the aliens seem to be something out of plato's republic? with the caste system?
I think I might want to play an Orcish Adventurer archeologist, if orcs are allowed.
@Lucidnonsense I'm cool with the whole tech traders thing, but I'm not sure what you mean by Wormhole factory. This isn't like SG-1 where you have a ring and you dial in a code. Regardless, creating let alone controlling wormholes would require a massive amount of power. Probably something in the nuclear energy area. Also it's a bit OP isn't it.

@TommyToledo Cheers bud.

I'll just start an OOC/IC then, Probably today so keep your peepers open.

The wormhole thing is a longterm goal, They will be needing a fuckton of energy and the factory I imagine has to be constructed at the edge of the solar system in order to minimize gravitic interference. They might be able to create Microscopic Communication wormholes a bit earlier but those arent nearly as useful unless you have a means of getting them to other solar systems.

TL;DR while the wormholes are the goal, they arent happening anytime soon.
Could be fun, Im planning on playing the local employees/workers of an organization dedicated to interstellar wormhole communication planning on starting a space program to create a wormhole factory...which will probably not be completed any time soon.

For now they are tech traders with a low physical population and a huge number of drones, making a living by fixing other civilizations technology and selling them electronics
Where did we get the materials to get a dyson shell? Our solar system doesnt have that kind of mass. Also, are any other species available? What about NON human synths.
I will not be able to post for a few days, just a heads up
@NowIGiveUp

If these are a bit too few weaknesses I could add silver, but thats a little cliche, But I could think of an explanation for it.

-Spells can interact with the ethereal, while for example a fireball would just pass right through, I imagine your average wizard has spells that use the ethereal plane in order to achieve the effect.
-"turn undead" works, not because the wraith is undead, but more because its like a dispel effect, the kind of magic that animates skeletons might be very similar to the kind that wraiths are made of.
-Sufficiently dense materials could probably effect ethereal beings, but these materials would almost certainly be magical as they would like...undergo fusion or something in nature, basically
-enchanted weapons have some substance in the ethereal realm, and can be used to harm the wraith, usually they are less effective on wraiths than they would be on physical creatures but they do actually touch the wraith and with sufficient force can cause harm. Some enchantments are more effective than others depending on the shape the ethereal form of the weapon takes (its often different than the physical form, but a wizard who knows what hes doing and wants the weapon to be effective against wraiths or other ethereals could without too much work create an enchantment that operates effectively against ethereal beings.
Approximately what year is it? around 10,000? how long did it take to take over the milky way.

Also planning on playing a nation of post-biologicals, how high tech are we allowed to go....5000 years is a long time, Im thinking of making my nation roughly Orions Arm levels but with less godlike AI and perhaps the addition of warp drive that can go mayby...100 times the speed of light?

Didnt meant to double post

Can there be multiple human governments? perhaps working together but I dont see humanity as being able to achieve perfect unity.

Also, can we have more information on the aliens? why did they attack human colonies?
